[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]Maratone’s “Siyafunda,” released on the legendary Magik Muzik label, is a mesmerizing auditory journey that masterfully combines rhythmic intricacy and soulful melodic depth. Right from the first beat, the track establishes an unshakable rhythm, groove, and drive. The syncopated percussion pulses with a living energy, while the bassline resonates deep in the chest, creating a perfect low-end foundation that propels the track forward. Its melodic hooks and harmonic layers intertwine seamlessly, with hauntingly beautiful vocal chants floating above lush synths and organic strings, forming a harmonic tapestry that feels both modern and ancestral. Transitions, drops, and build-ups are handled with surgical precision, keeping the energy flow and momentum captivating throughout its 122 BPM structure, making it ideal for both peak club moments and more introspective terrace sets. From a production standpoint, “Siyafunda” showcases impeccable sound design and top-tier production quality. Every element, from the thumping tribal drums to the delicate harmonic overtones, is placed with care in the stereo field, demonstrating expert use of effects and spatial design. The dynamic range and loudness balance maintain an immersive and undistorted listening experience, while the atmosphere created by the blend of acoustic and synthetic timbres envelops the listener in a journey of sonic discovery. The track’s originality of arrangement and structure shines in its ability to tell a story without ever feeling predictable. Its emotional resonance is heightened through the vocal performance, which adds a spiritual and almost therapeutic dimension. The creativity and artistic identity of Maratone are evident in the way the track balances tradition and innovation, building cohesion and storytelling across every section. Beyond its musical and technical brilliance, “Siyafunda” demonstrates profound benefits for mental health and wellness. Scientific research has consistently shown that rhythmic music with steady beats and layered harmonics can reduce stress, promote relaxation, and improve mood (Thoma et al., 2013; Koelsch, 2010). The track’s tribal percussion patterns and melodic structure naturally entrain brainwave activity, potentially enhancing focus during yoga, meditation, and breathwork sessions. Its uplifting and immersive nature also boosts motivation and energy during fitness classes, aligning with studies that highlight the positive effects of musical engagement on physical performance and endurance (Karageorghis & Priest, 2012). With its high catchiness and replay value, “Siyafunda” is not only suitable for clubs and festivals but also for therapeutic and wellness environments, enhancing both mood and movement in human listeners. Its flawless intro and outro structures make DJ integration effortless, with BPM consistency and sync ease ensuring smooth cue points and looping potential. The track sustains dynamic energy that supports set flow while eliciting strong crowd reactions, making it a versatile tool for professional DJs and wellness practitioners alike. Maratone’s “Siyafunda” is more than a piece of music; it is an immersive sonic experience that bridges the gap between the dance floor, the mind, and the body. #PureGold Loveit [/content]

If you’re looking for a peak-time weapon that hits right in the feels, Maratone has just delivered a certified heater. Teaming up with Brittany Egbert, "Chasing Highs" is a high-velocity Trance masterclass that’s all about that mainstage energy.

Brittany’s vocal cuts through the mix like a hot knife through butter, telling a story of hearts colliding and the rush of "the climb". It’s got that signature Magik Muzik polish, shimmering leads, a relentless bassline, and a breakdown that’ll have the crowd "eyes wide open" before the drop absolutely sends it.

[item value="10"]Maratone & Brittany Egbert - Chasing Highs[/item]
[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]“Chasing Highs” is a 125 BPM melodic progressive vocal trance track that exemplifies the core principles of proglifting production. The arrangement is meticulously layered with lush harmonic progressions, atmospheric pads, and a tight low-end foundation. Maratone employs sidechain compression to create a breathing effect in the mix, allowing Brittany Egbert’s ethereal vocals to float effortlessly above the instrumental. The breakdown features a cinematic orchestration of shimmering leads and reverb-drenched plucks, followed by a perfectly timed riser and snare roll that builds seamless tension before the main drop. Spatial imaging and stereo field management are executed with precision, giving each instrument its own space while maintaining an enveloping, immersive experience. Dynamic range is carefully balanced, with subtle mastering compression that preserves impact without sacrificing clarity. The sound design leverages a combination of analog-style synths and digital layering to achieve warmth and definition. The bassline employs a rolling groove with subtle syncopation, providing both drive and fluid momentum. FX sweeps, reverse cymbals, and delay throws help transition between sections smoothly, while granular vocal chops accentuate the climactic rises. The vocal production is pristine, with gentle de-essing and harmonic doubling that enhance Brittany’s heartfelt performance. The track demonstrates an advanced understanding of trance arrangement, with its energy flowing in well-structured waves that guide the listener from introspection to euphoria. Scientific studies have consistently shown the cognitive and emotional benefits of melodic electronic music. Uplifting trance at 120–130 BPM has been linked to mood enhancement, stress reduction, and improved focus (Thoma et al., 2013). The rhythmic entrainment found in tracks like “Chasing Highs” can synchronize neural oscillations, enhancing mental clarity and emotional stability. For fitness and wellness classes, the driving yet uplifting tempo promotes cardiovascular engagement and encourages rhythmic movement, making it suitable for cycling, running, and dance-based exercise (Karageorghis & Priest, 2012). The track’s emotive storytelling and euphoric drops can also facilitate the release of endorphins, leading to a positive emotional state and increased motivation during physical activity. Beyond its technical prowess, “Chasing Highs” taps into the psychological benefits of music by invoking feelings of transcendence and emotional release. Brittany Egbert’s vocal delivery enhances the parasympathetic response, often associated with relaxation and emotional connection. The combination of a cinematic breakdown and a euphoric drop acts as a musical narrative arc that mirrors the human emotional journey, making it both a festival-ready anthem and a therapeutic listening experience. #PureGold Love it. The legendary trance collaboration gets a reboot! Lange & Sarah Howells' timeless anthem, "Out Of The Sky," is blasted into the future with a powerhouse Maratone Remix. Maratone unleashes a torrent of high-energy percussion and driving bass, transforming the beautiful original into a peak-time, hands-in-the-air weapon. It's the same emotional story "Possible, that it could all be wonderful", now delivered with a massive, festival-ready punch.

[item value="10"]Lange & Sarah Howells - Out Of The Sky (Maratone Remix)[/item]
[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]Maratone’s remix of “Out Of The Sky” by Lange & Sarah Howells is a masterclass in contemporary progressive trance production. The remix elevates the original emotional anthem into a festival-ready powerhouse, combining precision sound design with carefully engineered production techniques that reflect deep knowledge of modern trance aesthetics. The track sits comfortably at 126 BPM, a sweet spot that balances energetic drive with melodic spaciousness, allowing DJs to seamlessly integrate it into both progressive and uplifting trance sets. From a production perspective, Maratone employs layered, sidechained basslines with a solid low-end presence that provides both warmth and punch. The kick drum is chunky and well-compressed, aligning perfectly with the rolling sub-bass to maintain rhythmic cohesion. High-frequency percussive elements—including shakers, hi-hats, and subtle rides—add a polished groove without muddying the mix. The harmonic progression is carefully preserved from the original track, with lush pads and warm synth leads that deliver clarity and emotional depth. Maratone also integrates spatial effects such as reverb and stereo delay to create an immersive three-dimensional sound field, enhancing the listener’s experience on high-quality sound systems. The remix’s structural design features seamless transitions with well-planned build-ups and explosive drops. Automation and filtering on the synth layers lead to dynamic tension that keeps the energy flowing, while the breakdowns highlight Sarah Howells’ tender vocal performance. The vocal processing is clean and retains emotional intimacy, with just enough delay and reverb to sit naturally in the expansive mix. Scientific studies have long confirmed the positive effects of rhythmically engaging music on mental well-being and physical performance. Listening to trance tracks at moderate-to-fast tempos like 126 BPM can stimulate the release of endorphins and enhance mood regulation (Thoma et al., 2013). Progressive trance, with its hypnotic grooves and uplifting melodies, has been shown to support mindfulness and reduce stress levels by promoting states of flow (Labbé et al., 2007). In fitness and wellness classes, tracks like Maratone’s remix can improve endurance and motivation, synchronizing with heart rate and encouraging rhythmic movement (Karageorghis & Priest, 2012). Combined with the emotional uplift of Sarah Howells’ vocals, this remix becomes not just a dancefloor tool, but a vehicle for mental and emotional rejuvenation. Maratone’s remix of “Out Of The Sky” is a technical triumph and an emotional journey, perfectly suited for both peak-time club sets and personal listening experiences. By fusing meticulous production techniques with scientifically supported benefits for mood and fitness, the track establishes itself as more than a simple remix—it is an auditory experience that resonates with listeners on multiple levels. #PureGold Love IT [/content]

To talk about "Maratone", is to talk about one of the  most promising producers from Denmark; the discovery of music at the early age of only 10  years old, made him a real lover of magical sound of electronic dance music. In 2014 when he releases his first profesional tracks, his remixes of Susana "Silent For So Long" and Jo Cartwright "Embrace You" on Raz Nitzan Music made the way for him look very bright; the remix of Susana was released on her physical compilation Press Play vol. 3 and the remix of Jo Cartwright was picked up and played by Armin van Buuren at A State Of Trance. His most popular release might be "Vendetta" featuring Ikerya Project, because of the massive Sensualise mashup with Armin van Buurens "This Is What It Feels Like". Armin played the mashup at the worlds biggest festivals in whole 2017, and this was a real booster for Maratone.

Very known in his hometown for having been djing in one of the clubs of his city Odense as the only DJ being able to play upfront dance-music; is the time when he decided to put all his focus and potential in the start of his pofesional career as a music producer. Throughout this time; we can point out tracks as "Sunrise" and "Stardust" featuring the dutch singer and songwrite Robin Vane as being some of his most well-known releases.

In 2016 Maratone won a remix competition by Dennis Sheperd with the remix of "We Are feat. Sylvia Tuson" made together with the dutch duo XiJaro & Pitch. This remix was released on Dennis Sheperds A Tribute To Life imprint, at that time distributed by Black Hole Recordings. After this remix XiJaro & Pitch formed a strong friendship and producer-partnership with Maratone and made the track called "The Hymn" which was released under the Abora Recordings sub-label Digital Euphoria and this track opened new doors for Maratone.

As supported by Abora Recordings since 2016, Maratone keeps on evolving his sound. With a quite wide musical range, the outstanding and impressive elements in his productions are truely standing out. By the time Abora Recordings offered Maratone an exclusive record deal, he had no doubt in signing with the label. After just a few years in the industry; Maratone is already supported by artists as Armin van Buuren, Ferry Corsten, Andrew Rayel, Sean Tyas, Roger Shah, Manuel Le Saux, Simon Patterson and Roman Messer.

It's necessary also to mention his popular weekly radio show "Maraphobia" on 1Mix Radio, one of the most popular digital radios of the UK. We can listen to his program on the 1Mix Radio trance channel every Tuesday night at 20.00 CET; a weekly magical journey with some of the hottest tracks of the moment.
