About Venom One: It was only in 2012 when Venom One made a huge impression in the trance and dance scene with their releases and remixes on Coldharbour Recordings, Blackhole Recordings and Armada. Since then their career has skyrocketed and Venom One have become a household name in trance and EDM and played some of the biggest festivals and clubs in the world including ‘Nature One’, ‘Creamfields’, ‘Amnesia’ Ibiza,‘Ministry of Sound’ London, ‘Trance Sanctuary’ London ‘Audiolake Festival’ Poland, ‘Truth’ Johannesburg and many others.

The Norwegian trance legend Boom Jinx ahead of his performance at Rapture in Leeds discuss with us his career, how he met up with Above and Beyond, about the making of his successful album No Answer in Luck, his future singles and forthcoming events. Also he talks about his performance at Rapture and what is his plans for it.

Boom Jinx at Rapture in Leeds
Hailing from Norway, Boom Jinx began writing music in 1989. After building a successful career in the commercial film/TV industry, he turned his attention to dance music in 2005, spending his off-hours exploring his new passion. Deftly managing his time, continued career success came with writing music for two of the biggest video game franchises; EA's "Need for Speed" and "FIFA". His music was also licensed for two of the most popular TV shows in the world; CBS' "CSI:Miami" and "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation." His work on dance music has been equally lauded, developing a well-deserved reputation amongst his peers for productions that showcase a stunning level of intricate detail and subtle nuances.



The saying - “all good things come to those who wait” – couldn’t be truer for fans of the very talented and highly versatile writer, producer, sound designer, DJ and musician Øistein Johan Eide, better known as Boom Jinx. Throughout a creation process spanning many years, “Schtein” (as he’s known) has been carefully sculpting his masterpiece with expert precision and meticulous attention to detail.

Cutting an enigmatic figure in the Anjuna family and creatively responsible for some of the most intricate and beautiful music released on Anjunabeats and Anjunadeep - ‘Keyboards Cowboys’, ‘To The Six’ and ‘When You Loved Me’ to name but a few – ‘No Answers In Luck’ is an eclectic, 13-track selection of modern electronic music, showcasing the Norwegian's ear for engaging club tracks and delicate, melodic productions.

The album features a number of collaborators from Anjuna family members with the likes of vocalist Justine Suissa on the beautiful ‘Half The Man’, Canadian Colin Fisher aka Soundprank on ‘Don’t Let Me Go’ and the soulful ‘Running Away feat. Janai’. Further vocal contributions come from Aruna, Meredith Call, and Kerry Leva. The new single from the album, ‘Bring Me Back Around' with Meredith Call will be available for download on September 11, along with previously released single ‘The Dark’ (also with Meredith Call) which received support from heavyweights such as Above & Beyond, Armin van Buuren and Audien, amongst others.

Anske in action at Rapture
Interview with the upcoming Dj & producer Anske at the first Rapture event in Leeds at the famous The Mint Club.
