Nature One 2014, The Golden Twenty will be remembered for a long time and will stay in the hearts of the visitors forever. The biggest electronic dance music festival in Germany remains truly underground, away from the sirens of mainstream sound that you can mainly enjoy if you like it that way on the Open Air stage. Nature One represents all styles of electronic dance music, and for that reason attracts so many visitors who can listen and dance along during the two days - from minimal techno to hardstyle techno, and from tech house to hard trance too. Nature One, despite the fact that it aims to be an international festival,  continuously supports German artists who stand out in the electronic dance music world. The organisers have found the perfect balance in bringing to the forefront the finest upcoming and established German artists, and to exclusively feature the hottest international DJs too. Nature One festival is a statement of love, peace, freedom, tolerance and respect for each other, under the same groove of the beat that becomes our common heartbeat.

Tocadisco at WePLAY & BUCK ROGERS floor
One of the most exciting floors was the WePLAY & BUCK ROGERS with DJ sets by top names such as Danielle Diaz, Dave 202, Falko Niestolik, Jean Elan, Brockman & Basti M, Tocadisco, Dohr & Mangold, Shut Up! & RELOVE, Switch Off, A 2 A, NIC,  A-N-N-A, DJ Tues, Faul & Wad Ad, Robin Schulz, Peer Kusiv, Stil & Bense, DJ Tues and Anna Reusch. One of the new talent performing on this floor was the stunning female DJ and singer NIC. Her DJ set was absolutely marvellous, and the crowd seemed to adore every single track she played

Thanks to Dabruck & Klein from WePLAY Music & Management, we arranged a Video interview with NIC which you can enjoy right here. I asked first about when she started DJing and if it was difficult  as not many women are entering the DJing scene which is considered to be predominantly a male dominated profession.   Then I ask about the style of music she plays and the tracks she has produced and released so far. She tells us about the clubs she performed too. Next we discussed about her DJ set at Nature One, and if she prepared it in advance, or if she was going to do it spontaneously by following the mood of the crowd. Lastly she told us her wishes for the Twenty year anniversary of Nature One.

Thanks very much to NIC for her time to record this interview

Thanks very much to Dabruck & Klein at  WePLAY music and management for organising the interviews

Nature One 2014, The Golden Twenty was a phenomenal success in Germany. It was a sold-out festival with 72,000 visitors from all over the world who came to enjoy the great natural surroundings of the Raketenbasis Pydna near Kastellaun. Most importantly to party hard all day and night with the finest DJs such as Paul van Dyk, Axwell, Sven Vath, Carl Cox, ATB and many more playing the latest club smashers and worldwide exclusives for the ears and joy of Nature One visitors. The Open Air Floor, Century Circus, House of House, and The Golden Twenty were the main floors which spread and vibrated positive peaceful vibes of electronic dance music, with stunning high-tech decor and jaw-dropping light and lazer effects.

If you felt those main floors were not your cup of tea there were nineteen various clubs spread all over Pydna for you to choose from. One of the busiest floors was 'Heavens Gate' with many trance fans coming to enjoy quality DJ sets from the like of Fisherman & Hawkins, James Dymond, Ben Nicky, Chris Bekker and the incredible Maarten de Jong, who delivered his solid tech trance and big room sounds without mercy, elevating the crowd to a higher dimension.

I sought an interview with Maarten de Jong who kindly accepted and we managed to film the interview for your viewing pleasure. Firstly, he talked about his DJ performance at Nature One and how he much enjoy it by delivering what the crowd wanted. Next I ask him if this years performance was different from the previous year at Nature One, again at the Heavens Gate arena. Then he offered his congratulations to i-motion for twenty years of Nature One festivals. We discussed his previous track Red & White on VANDIT and he gave us a hint about his forthcoming single. Furthermore, he tells us his opinion about the direction that trance music is heading at the moment, and the kind of trance substyle will be prominent in the future. We discuss his current and future DJ gigs including Street Parade in Zurich, and We Are One Festival in Berlin (with Paul van Dyk and VANDIT records crew). I asked him if it is very important as an artist to be part of a well-recognised label such as VANDIT Records, and he confesses that it took him longer to reach his goal because he followed his heart and what he wanted to achieve. He reveals his forthcoming collaboration with Faruk Sabanci, and his remix for Paul van Dyk will be coming soon. Maarten is a full-time DJ & Producer and I asked him if he is 100% self taught, or if he attended a musical engineering course. Lastly he gave us his very warm and personal message to the viewers of this very entertaining interview. Must watch without doubt.

I sought an interview with Chris and I'm glad he accepted the challenge to reply to my questions. I hope they are questions that you might have in your mind that you might have wanted to ask him too. First of all, he talks about his DJ set on the Heavens Gate floor. I asked him about his previous releases on other labels before his top tracks on VANDIT records. We discuss his magnificent tune 'Telling Tales' with Chris Montana, and his latest track 'Invader' on VANDIT and he reveals the details about his collaboration with Paul van Dyk which will be out very soon on VANDIT. Nature One 2014, The Golden Twenty attracted more than 72,000 visitors, who together in unity, friendship and a common passion for Electronic Dance Music, celebrated twenty years of the biggest, most important and highly influential Electronic Music festival in Germany.

Nature One takes place every year, usually at the first weekend of August at the Rakentenbasis Pydna in Kastellaun, Germany. It includes DJs and live performances which stand out and remain in visitors memories as unforgettable festival moments. The Golden Twenty anniversary was packed with high class DJ sets from artists such as Axwell, Paul van Dyk, Moguai, Carl Cox, Sven Vath, Markus Schulz, ATB, Danny Avila, Deniz Koyu, Ferry Corsten, Robin Schulz live and many more.

One of the most memorable highlights on the Saturday night from 04.30-06.00, was the stunning performance by Hamburg's finest house trio, DBN and Cosmo Klein. They were simply fun-tastic, with powerful progressive house bangers and Cosmo Klein with his heavenly voice singing live in some of the tracks. DBN are dynamic, powerful and work hard behind the decks to make the crowd jump around and sweat a lot! The combination of DBN with Cosmo Klein was a successful idea that managed to capture the interest of the festival-goers, who flooded the main stage and had some great party moments with them.

Before their explosive performance, I managed to meet them at the press centre and conducted this interview. First of all, I asked them about their performance on the open air stage, and if they had prepared special edits and exclusives. Next we discussed the differences between playing last year at the House of House stage, and this years Open Air performance. They give us some background information about the re-making of the classic trance track ROOS - Instant Moments, which was released on 'Big & Dirty', and then on 'WePlay' in Germany. It dominated the DDC charts at the number one position for many weeks. Next subject in question was the reason behind their idea to set up their own  record labels; 'Run DBN' and the sister label 'Run Deep' which specialises in deep house releases, mainly from unknown young artists even in the early age  16-17 years. They explain how they share the stage when they perform together, and if they had prepared some tracks which they will include in their DJ set at Nature One. Next DBN clarify who had the idea to perform  together with Cosmo Klein.

The rest of the interview was dedicated to Cosmo Klein, who was kind enough to reply to our questions. First of all, I asked him to explain the background story behind his magnificent anthem 'Beautiful Lie' with Keemo. This is actually a remake of Yoav's unforgettable hit with the same name. He revealed that they prepared a brand new deeper version of the track, and that this is the only cover he did as he usually writes the lyrics of the tracks he sings. Next I ask about his record label 'Cosmopolytix' and the kind of tracks he releases on it. What's more, he clarifies if and why his tracks have a political message. He reveals his forthcoming releases, such as his track 'Back to Life' with the upcoming Hamburg based duo Mynga, which is signed to Capitol and Sony Music. Also we chat about the artistic freedom he has when he works with major record labels, and he reveals the label on which he had the best collaboration so far. Finally, we talk about his forthcoming album and compilation, with all his big club hits so far, and I ask if he often performs in clubs. It's definitely must-watch interview so, better not miss it.

Thanks very much to DBN and Cosmo Klein for their time to record this interview.

Thanks very much to Swinque management for organising this interview.

Nature One 2014, The Golden Twenty was a massive success with 72.000 visitors from Germany and many other countries around the world. The most famous and respected electronic dance music festival in Germany was bigger and better than any other year with 4 huge stages with state of the art high-tech  design, mindblowing visuals and colourful lazer effects. The Open Air stage with the biggest names at the moment, Golden Twenty Floor with exactly the same line up as the first ever Nature One, Century Circus with the magnificent Carl Cox, the always incredible Sven Vath and the fantastic Chris Liebing amongst others. Lastly House of House stage was dedicated to house music with gigantic disco ball in the centre and dj sets from the most requested names at the moment as Robin Schulz Live, Moonbootica, Faul & Wad Ad, Butch and many more. All around Raketenbasis Pydna various well known clubs from Germany, Belgium and The Netherlands organised their own smaller stages like Hexenhouse/Heaven Hill that Dj Falk played and totally smashed it in a packed stage as you can see in the picture. The interest of the German and international media for the festival is noteworthy with the national radio station Dasding broadcasting extensive dj sets and doing interviews and of course the most successful electronic dance music radio in Germany Sunshine Live that each day of the festival broadcast 10 hours non stop with dj sets and interviews.

The heart and soul of Sunshine Live is dj Falk who is also dj and producer part of the big Tiger records family. I requested an interview with dj Falk and I'm glad that between his interviews with the djs of the festival he found some time to record this interview with me that you can experience it right here. Firstly I asked him about the coverage of Nature One from Sunshine Live and how he treats the interviews with the djs. He tell us about his warm up set for the spectacular Schiller show in Frankfurt and how he will never forget it. Then he talks about his productions at Tiger records and he reveals the forthcoming releases under his Dj Falk moniker and SodaFreak alter ego as well. I ask him about his relationship with Tiger records and the friendship with its owner.

He mentions the biggest track at the moment and his largest track in his career so far. We discuss about the forthcoming Radio Nation event at Manheim and he invite us all to attend. We discuss about the massive growth of electronic dance music  worldwide. Then  dj Falk talks about they selection process they follow at sunshine live  for the tracks they put on daily rotation. I wondered if they will take on board additional radio shows and he talks about Sunshine Live expansion in the digital age with variety of radio channels. He mentions of course the stage he is going to perform and how he prepares himself for this dj set. It's definitely a must watch interview.

Thanks so much to Dj Falk for his time to record this interview

Nature One, The Golden Twenty was held from 1st to 3rd of August in the natural surroundings of Raketenbasis Pydna, near Kastellaun in Germany. The magical celebration of twenty years of this most important festival was sold out, and it managed to attract more than 72,000 people from Germany and many other countries around the globe. Nature One is the biggest Electronic Dance Music festival in Germany with DJ sets from top national and international DJ's. Through the years on the open air stage at Nature One loyal visitors have the opportunity to enjoy names like Tiesto, Armin van Buuren, Hardwell, Paul van Dyk, Sebastian Ingrosso, Axwell, Deadmau5, Markus Schulz, Ferry Corsten, Judge Jules, Westbam and countless more.

After their brilliant performance on the Open Air stage I sought an interview with them and I'm glad that they managed to find time in their busy schedule and we recorded this very informative and entertaining interview. First of all I asked about their DJ set on the Open Air stage, and they gave us their wishes for the twenty years celebration at Nature One. Next we spoke about their collaboration with Coldharbour Recordings and Markus Schulz. They recall all the singles they have released so far, and they talk about their current release 'Earthquake' which they consider is their biggest and most important release so far, and they reveal some details about their future releases. I ask about the music influences in their productions, and they tell us that every single has different influences, and they aspire to sound completely different each time.

Furthermore we discuss their forthcoming DJ gigs, and they describe for us their current studio setup and the equipment they use. They make it clear that they don't have other job, and their only occupation is music production and DJ gigs around the globe. I wondered if they might produce other styles of music and the phrase "we don't want to be pushed in one corner" sums it up all. Of course, we talk abut the way they perform in their DJ sets, and how they choose the tracks that they play in them. They don't have a regular radio show or broadcast, but they do guest mixes on other DJs shows. They tell us their opinion about the DJ mag Top 100 DJs list, and then we mention the importance of being active in the social media and be in contact with their fans. Finally they give us their message and promise great new music in the coming months.
