[item value="10"]YORK, Hessian, Wezn - Come Alive (2026 Mix)[/item]
[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"] YORK, Hessian, and Wezn’s 2026 Mix of “Come Alive” is a masterclass in modern melodic electronic production, seamlessly balancing artistry with technical precision. From the first beat, the track establishes an impeccable rhythm, groove, and drive, powered by a 125 BPM flow that hits the sweet spot for both dancefloor momentum and home listening. The kick is tight yet warm, paired with a bassline that breathes in sync with the percussion, creating a forward-moving energy that feels natural and immersive. The dynamic layering of melodic hooks and harmonic textures elevates the emotional resonance, with lush pads, dreamy guitar flourishes, and an elegant interplay between synth arpeggios and vocals forming a harmonic bed that is both vibrant and soothing. Across its carefully sculpted transitions, drops, and build-ups, the track demonstrates surgical precision in arrangement. Breakdowns dip into ethereal atmospheres, letting the vocal performance shine in a reverb-rich space before lifting into powerful, cinematic drops. The energy flow and momentum are meticulously crafted for peak emotional impact, rising and falling in a way that encourages both introspection and physical movement. From a production standpoint, the sound design and quality are flawless: each frequency band is cleanly managed, with a well-balanced dynamic range that allows low-end elements to hit hard while maintaining clarity in the mids and highs. Effects like subtle delays, stereo panning, and spatial reverb deepen the sense of immersion, giving the track a 3D quality that enhances listening through both headphones and club systems. Creatively, “Come Alive (2026 Mix)” showcases originality in its arrangement and emotional storytelling. The cohesion of its motifs—vocals, guitar-led melodies, and synth layers—creates a narrative arc that invites repeated plays, while the use of cue points and loop-friendly segments makes it highly suitable for professional DJ sets. The intro and outro are purposefully designed for seamless mixing, ensuring BPM consistency and sync ease, while providing DJs with flexible looping opportunities. Not only does the track perform exceptionally in club and festival environments, but it also aligns with scientific research linking music to positive mental and physical effects. Studies have shown that rhythmic, melodic electronic music can enhance mood, reduce stress, and improve cognitive focus (Thoma et al., 2013; Chanda & Levitin, 2013). The track’s emotional resonance and smooth energy transitions make it ideal for wellness and fitness applications, including yoga and cycling classes, where music enhances performance and flow states (Karageorghis & Priest, 2012). The euphoria induced by its vocal and harmonic climaxes can trigger dopamine responses in the brain, fostering a sense of reward and emotional uplift. Ultimately, “Come Alive (2026 Mix)” is as functional as it is beautiful: a track that excels in emotional resonance, club suitability, and artistic identity, while delivering measurable positive effects on listeners. Its replay value is high due to the combination of catchy melodies, immersive atmosphere, and storytelling cohesion, cementing it as a standout release in melodic progressive house with deep, warming trance undertones. #PureGold Love IT[/content]

Progressive house duo ANUQRAM collaborate with Second Sine on 'Wake Me Up', out now on Anjunabeats.

ANUQRAM first appeared on Anjunabeats in 2021 with ‘Echoes’, a track that saw the duo collaborate with label mainstay PROFF, before going on to drop floorfillers like ‘Get On’, ‘Don’t Stop’ and ‘Bermondsey Bender’ (ANUQRAM Remix), which earned support from industry heavyweights like Armin van Buuren, Vintage Culture, David Guetta, Oliver Heldens, Cosmic Gate and more.

Last year saw ANUQRAM release three EP’s on Anjunabeats, kicking off with the ‘On My Knees EP’, which featured collaborations with Ash Nova and Dulus. The duo followed that up with their remix of Above & Beyond and Zoë Johnston's uplifting trance hit 'Crazy Love', which gained support from the likes of Nora En Pure, Sultan + Shepard, Jerro, Korolova, Chicane and Laura van Dam.

Four months later, ANUQRAM joined forces with progressive house pioneer Alexey Sonar and Italian duo Madraas on the ‘Alright Now EP’. The pair rounded off the year with the ‘You Set Me Free EP’, which saw spins from Yotto, KREAM, Sultan + Shepard, Cosmic Gate and more, before dropping their remix of Dosem and HANA’s ‘Ethernal’.

ANUQRAM kicked off this year by collaborating with Eleonora on ‘Parasite’, which earned support from Jody Wisternoff, Chris Luno, Vintage Culture, A.M.R, Don Diablo and Jason Bentley on KCRW, before later releasing their mesmerising two-tracker 'Safari / Hide & Seek'. Now, ANUQRAM join forces with fellow progressive mainstay Second Sine on 'Wake Me Up'.

[item value="10"]ANUQRAM & Second Sine - Wake Me Up [/item]
[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]ANUQRAM and Second Sine deliver an electrifying progressive masterpiece with Wake Me Up, a 125 BPM track that bridges the gap between progressive house and trance with seamless finesse. From the opening moments, the track introduces a clean, bubbly bassline that provides a powerful rhythmic foundation. The low-end frequencies are meticulously balanced, ensuring that the groove drives forward without overpowering the mix. Layered atop this are chunky percussive elements and carefully processed hi-hats that add dynamic interest, guiding the listener into a hypnotic, trance-infused atmosphere. Melodically, the track excels in its use of harmonic layers and evolving synth progressions. The trance-inspired leads glide effortlessly over the mix, creating a sense of soaring elevation. These melodic hooks are supported by rich harmonic pads that slowly build tension, allowing for smooth transitions and highly effective drops. The production showcases sophisticated use of automation and effects—specifically reverb, delay, and stereo imaging—to craft a wide, immersive soundscape. This spatial design enhances both the track’s club/festival presence and its capacity for at-home or private listening experiences. A standout feature of Wake Me Up is the hypnotic vocal line, which serves as the emotional core of the composition. The vocals are processed with a tasteful blend of delay and subtle modulation, contributing to a dark, mystic aesthetic that envelops the listener. This element not only increases the track’s emotional resonance but also strengthens its storytelling and cohesion across the arrangement. From a technical perspective, the track demonstrates exceptional energy flow and dynamic range. The arrangement is thoughtfully structured, featuring well-timed build-ups, impactful drops, and a logically flowing intro and outro suitable for DJ sets. Cue points are easy to identify thanks to clear transitional markers, making the track highly versatile for club or festival use. Additionally, its BPM consistency at 125 makes syncing in live environments effortless. Beyond its technical mastery, Wake Me Up offers significant benefits in the realms of mental health, fitness, and wellness. Scientific studies suggest that repetitive, rhythm-based music with engaging melodic content can reduce stress and promote relaxation by stimulating the parasympathetic nervous system (Thoma et al., 2013). Moreover, the track’s steady BPM and uplifting tonal quality support cardiovascular endurance and motivation in physical fitness settings, as noted in research on the ergogenic effects of music in exercise (Karageorghis & Priest, 2012). In wellness classes such as yoga or meditation, the hypnotic elements and layered harmonics can facilitate mental focus and emotional grounding, aligning with findings on music-based mindfulness practices (Garcia-Gil et al., 2021). The combination of technical excellence, emotional richness, and scientifically supported wellness benefits makes Wake Me Up not only a peak-time club weapon but also a track with versatile applications in promoting positive human experiences. #PureGold Loveit [/content]

Kryder delivers a breathtaking take on Hans Zimmer's "Time" (from Inception), transforming the legendary track into an essential melodic house & techno anthem. Kryder masterfully preserves the grand, emotional weight of the original while injecting a driving, hypnotic rhythm. This is a journey through time and space. A soaring, progressive masterpiece built for peak-time energy.

Lose yourself in the new legend.

[item value="10"]Kryder - Time [/item]
[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]Kryder’s reimagining of Hans Zimmer’s legendary track “Time” is a masterclass in modern melodic house and techno production. At 126 BPM, the track strikes the perfect balance between trance-like euphoria and hypnotic progressive drive. From the very first moments, the production showcases a pristine use of dynamic range and spatial design. Layers of atmospheric pads and reverberated piano lines introduce the piece, honoring Zimmer’s cinematic essence, while the low-end groove slowly unfolds with an impeccably engineered kick and sub-bass relationship that ensures perfect club and festival translation. The sound design reflects an incredible attention to detail. Kryder employs a combination of analog-modeled synths for the warm melodic hooks and digital precision for the percussive elements, achieving seamless harmonic layering. The transitions and build-ups rely heavily on sidechain compression, filter sweeps, and carefully modulated reverb tails to create a sense of anticipation and release. Spatial effects, including stereo delays and panoramic shimmers, expand the listening field, enveloping the audience in an immersive journey through time and space. Each drop is strategically designed with spectral balance in mind, ensuring that no frequency clashes occur while maintaining the emotional resonance of Zimmer’s original score. From a structural perspective, Kryder’s arrangement demonstrates exceptional cohesion and storytelling. The intro is DJ-friendly, built with loopable percussive elements and subtle melodic cues for seamless integration into a set. The energy flow is meticulously crafted; each breakdown, drop, and bridge maintains forward momentum while allowing breathing room for emotional buildup. The outro mirrors the intro’s design, providing safe cue points for performance mixing and excellent loop potential for extended festival sets. This arrangement makes the track not only a peak-time monster but also a versatile tool for live and recorded sets. Scientific studies have demonstrated that rhythmic, melodic, and emotionally powerful music can significantly enhance mood and reduce stress. Research published in Frontiers in Psychology (Thoma et al., 2013) shows that listening to emotionally engaging music lowers cortisol levels and promotes relaxation. The driving beat and harmonic content of Kryder’s “Time” remix align with findings from Journal of Music Therapy (Karageorghis & Priest, 2012), where rhythmic synchronization has been shown to improve physical performance and endurance in fitness and wellness classes. Furthermore, the trance-like qualities and cinematic progression of the track can induce a state of flow and mental immersion, which researchers in Psychology of Music (2019) associate with improved cognitive focus and emotional regulation. What sets this rework apart is its ability to transform an already iconic theme into a modern electronic experience that touches both the heart and body. By preserving the grandiose emotional weight of Zimmer’s original composition while enhancing it with hypnotic grooves, Kryder has created a track that operates as both a dancefloor weapon and an emotional release. Listeners report that such music evokes feelings of awe and joy, which studies on music-induced chills (Social Cognitive and Affective Neuroscience, 2016) have linked to dopamine release and heightened emotional well-being. #PureGold Love IT[/content]

Finding the one. 💫 P.O.U & Stone Van Brooken bring the essential melodic techno energy, while Susie Ledge delivers the stunning vocal: "You were the missing piece." A track built on sacrifice and devotion. Essential listening.

Dimitris Kechagias Review:

[item value="10"]P.O.U. x Stone Van Brooken x Susie Ledge - Missing Piece[/item]
[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]Missing Piece” is a 124 BPM deep melodic progressive track that impeccably combines elements of trance and melodic techno. The production opens with a foundation of dark metallic kicks and deep, pulsating basslines that create an immediate sense of drive and structure. P.O.U. and Stone Van Brooken deploy layered harmonic textures, evolving pads, and subtle percussive accents, which support Susie Ledge’s ethereal vocal performance. The central vocal phrase, “You were the missing piece,” resonates over the mix with a clean, spatial treatment, enhanced through the use of stereo imaging, mild plate reverb, and sidechain compression to maintain clarity against the low-end energy. The track’s transitions and build-ups are expertly crafted. Automated filter sweeps, risers, and modulated delay effects create a sense of anticipation before each drop. The climax introduces synth stabs with a slightly detuned, analog feel, layered with high-frequency harmonics to cut through the dense mix. Spatial design plays a key role; panned arpeggios and subtle background effects contribute to an immersive, dystopian atmosphere that feels both cinematic and dancefloor-ready. Dynamic range is carefully controlled, ensuring that the track remains powerful without sacrificing headroom. From a physiological and psychological perspective, “Missing Piece” aligns well with research on music’s effects on human well-being. The 124 BPM tempo sits comfortably within the range often recommended for aerobic exercise and rhythmic movement, supporting activities like spin classes, dance-based fitness, and running (Karageorghis & Priest, 2012). The track’s pulsating basslines and uplifting harmonic progressions can stimulate endorphin release and promote a state of flow, which is associated with improved mood and reduced stress (Thoma et al., 2013). Melodic techno tracks like this one also encourage parasympathetic nervous system engagement post-exercise, aiding in recovery and mental relaxation. The combination of hypnotic repetition and emotive vocals can facilitate meditative states, which are beneficial in wellness classes such as yoga or guided stretching sessions (Koelsch, 2010). Listeners may experience enhanced focus, emotional catharsis, and a sense of connection through the lyrical theme of finding one’s “missing piece.” “Missing Piece” is not only a flawlessly engineered track for club and festival environments, but it is also a valuable tool for promoting mental and physical well-being. Through precise sound design, immersive atmosphere, and emotional storytelling, P.O.U., Stone Van Brooken, and Susie Ledge succeed in creating a piece that resonates technically, artistically, and therapeutically. #PureGold Love iT [/content]

With tracks under his belt such as 'Easy' (with Porter Robinson), 'Rebound' (with ARTY), 'The Sky' and 'Superman', Matan Zohar, formally known as Mat Zo, is one of Anjunabeats’ most celebrated artists. His GRAMMY-nominated debut album, ‘Damage Control,’ released in 2013, gave Mat’s avant-garde approach to production its full expression. Featuring break-out hit ‘Easy’, the track took Mat mainstream: a BBC Radio 1 A-List addition, Sirius XM BPM listing, a #1 Billboard Heatseeking record, an Essential Mix of the year nomination, and, ultimately, a GRAMMY nomination for best dance and electronic recording.

The British producer’s latest studio album, ‘Illusion of Depth,’ was released on the label in October 2020. The album has garnered over 25 million streams and produced the singles 'The Next Chapter,' 'Problems,' and 'Colours’; the latter of which was placed in the soundtrack for the 2021 racing video game Forza Horizon 5.

Last year, Mat Zo released the ‘ZOCASE EP’, a series of three lengthy tracks with cutting-edge sounds; each track a genre-less display, spacing between progressive house, breakbeat and techno.

Kicking off 2025 with ‘Wounded’, an official cover of Fleet Foxes 2020 track, ‘Can I Believe You’, the renowned producer followed up with another single, ‘Stupid O’Clock’ in early September. A showcase of masterful sound design, these singles provide a unique sonic experience that demonstrates Mat’s widely respected production skills. Now, he returns with his latest genre-defying production, ‘A Long Time’. Reminiscent of his emerging years and ongoing reputation for musical experimentation, ‘A Long Time’ shows off an extended journey of twists and turns through almost eight minutes.

[item value="10"]Mat Zo - A Long Time[/item]
[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"] Mat Zo’s A Long Time is a striking example of contemporary electronic music production that demonstrates a sophisticated blend of technical precision and creative daring. At a steady 124 BPM, the track unfolds over nearly eight minutes, moving fluidly through progressive, trance, and indie dance elements. Its sonic architecture showcases advanced layering techniques, with basslines that interlock seamlessly with rhythmic percussion patterns and atmospheric harmonic textures. The use of stereo imaging, reverb tails, and spatial effects creates a three-dimensional listening environment, giving the track a festival-ready, immersive quality. From a production standpoint, A Long Time highlights meticulous attention to detail in its transitions and drops. Automated filter sweeps, volume modulation, and sidechain compression ensure that each build-up flows into its corresponding release with impact and clarity. The dynamic range is carefully managed, maintaining an energetic loudness level without sacrificing tonal balance. Mat Zo’s signature approach to sound design—merging raw, analog-inspired synths with polished digital timbres—makes the track both innovative and club-friendly. Its intro and outro structures are DJ-conscious, offering sync-friendly cue points and looping potential for set integration. Beyond its technical merits, the track has profound positive effects on mental health and wellness environments. Scientific studies have shown that rhythmic entrainment at moderate tempos (110–130 BPM) can enhance mood regulation, reduce stress, and improve focus (Thoma et al., 2013). The uplifting melodic hooks and harmonic progressions in A Long Time stimulate dopamine release, contributing to emotional uplift (Salimpoor et al., 2011). In fitness and movement-based wellness classes, such music supports sustained physical activity by promoting a natural synchronization of movement with rhythm, which has been linked to improved exercise performance and enjoyment (Karageorghis & Priest, 2012). For meditation or relaxation sessions focused on active mindfulness, its evolving sonic journey can encourage flow states, offering both cognitive stimulation and emotional relief. In human-centered terms, A Long Time demonstrates how well-crafted electronic music can transcend entertainment, acting as a tool for mental health support, physical engagement, and emotional well-being. Mat Zo’s balance of technical mastery and expressive artistry creates not just a track for the dance floor but an experiential soundscape that resonates with listeners on multiple levels. #PureGold Love iT[/content]

[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]Adina Butar’s reimagining of Everything But the Girl’s classic “Missing” is a masterclass in marrying nostalgia with forward-thinking production. Clocking in at 122 BPM, the track unfolds as a deep, progressive house journey infused with cinematic soundscapes and afrohouse tribal grooves. From the very first beat, the smooth, emotive vocal delivery takes center stage, floating above lush harmonic layers and hypnotic percussion. Her interpretation doesn’t just honor the original’s melancholy—it transforms it into a radiant, uplifting experience perfect for both the dancefloor and mindful listening sessions. Technical Production & Arrangement: The track demonstrates meticulous attention to sound design and arrangement. The deep basslines are tightly controlled, providing a warm yet assertive foundation that drives the groove forward. Layering is handled with precision: shimmering pads and evolving atmospheric textures create a lush stereo field, while percussive elements like shakers and bongos subtly shift the rhythmic palette across the track. Transitions are seamless, with filtered sweep effects and carefully timed risers that build tension into each drop. The drops themselves are spacious, avoiding clutter by letting Adina’s vocal breathe alongside the lead melodic synth line. The dynamic range is impressive for a club-oriented production. Sidechain compression is used tastefully to maintain energy without sacrificing clarity, and the high-end is sculpted to sparkle without fatigue. Reverbs and delays are applied with intent, creating a sense of both intimacy and expansiveness—an auditory space that feels immersive for headphones and powerful on festival-grade speakers. Musicality & Emotional Resonance: Melodically, the track excels through its harmonic layering. Subtle chord inversions and counter-melodies add richness to the progression, creating a storytelling arc that evolves naturally over the six-minute runtime. The interplay between the vocal and instrumental sections enhances the emotional narrative, shifting from introspection in the verses to catharsis in the chorus and drops. This journey-like quality makes the track not only danceable but also therapeutic, resonating with listeners on a deeper emotional level. Therapeutic and Fitness Applications: Progressive house music like Adina’s “Missing” has been widely recognized for its potential to support mental wellness and fitness activities. Anjunadeep label mainstay Marsh releases his take on an Above & Beyond classic, ’Sun In Your Eyes.’ Taken from the trio’s 2011 album ‘Group Therapy’, the original mix of 'Sun In Your Eyes’ is an ambient composition that swells into an emotional crescendo of layered sound. For his remix, British producer Marsh transforms the track into a driving, dance-floor-ready banger featuring his signature progressive-leaning sounds, this time with a darker twist.

The remix is released ahead of Marsh’s ’25 Years of Anjuna’ mix, where it will appear in mixed form. Marsh’s mix will be the 20th in the special release series this year, which sees artists across Anjunabeats, Anjunadeep and Anjunachill celebrate two and a half decades since the founding of Anjunabeats.

Marsh’s remix of ’Sun In Your Eyes’ was debuted by Above & Beyond themselves during their iconic ABGT600 Deep Warmup Set, which saw the trio play live from a boat on the Xochimilco canals in Mexico City. They played it again during their headlining set at Anjunadeep Open Air London festival in Finsbury Park this past spring.

'Sun In Your Eyes’ has previously seen remixes by Anjuna veteran Spencer Brown, as well as legendary British producer William Orbit.

[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"] Marsh’s remix of Above & Beyond’s “Sun In Your Eyes,” released on the Anjunadeep label, is a masterclass in reimagining a beloved classic while showcasing advanced production techniques and meticulous attention to sonic detail. Originally featured on the trio’s 2011 “Group Therapy” album as a sweeping ambient journey, the track has now been transformed into a 126 BPM progressive gem that straddles the line between house and trance. The remix’s technical finesse and emotional resonance make it a standout both in the studio and on the dance floor. From the very first measures, the remix establishes a deep, immersive atmosphere through carefully layered pads and spatial effects that create an expansive stereo field. Marsh introduces subtle percussive elements with precise EQ and filtering, allowing the groove to breathe naturally while maintaining clarity across the spectrum. The rhythm and groove are consistently tight, with a driving low-end that locks perfectly with the kick, making the track a dream for DJs in terms of BPM consistency and sync ease. The use of stereo-imaged hi-hats and micro-delays adds a hypnotic shimmer to the groove, enhancing the track’s club-ready energy. The melodic development is where the remix truly shines. Marsh preserves the emotional essence of the original while weaving in new harmonic layers, creating a lush interplay of arpeggiated synths and evolving textures. The breakdown is a cinematic moment, building tension with ethereal vocal snippets and gently modulated leads that rise into a soaring, euphoric climax. The transitions, drops, and build-ups are executed with precision, using automated reverb tails, dynamic filtering, and sidechain compression to maintain fluid energy flow and momentum throughout the arrangement. Production quality is impeccable, with a polished and balanced mix that displays professional-level dynamic range and loudness management. The low-end remains punchy without overpowering the midrange, while the highs sparkle cleanly, achieving a modern progressive sound that is both warm and spacious. Marsh’s selective use of effects, including subtle phasers, shimmering delays, and enveloping reverbs, enhances the track’s spatial design and emotional storytelling without ever feeling overproduced. Creatively, the remix reflects Marsh’s distinct artistic identity while honoring the timelessness of Above & Beyond’s original composition. Its cohesive structure and narrative flow make it not only a track that tells a story but also a set staple capable of commanding a festival crowd. The combination of vocal immersion, harmonic richness, and dynamic energy ensures strong crowd reaction potential and high replay value. [content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]The latest UV release presents a masterclass in progressive house craftsmanship, revitalizing a classic with remarkable technical precision and production finesse. John Creamer & Stephane K’s iconic track “I Wish You Were Here” receives a state-of-the-art reimagining by Paul Thomas and Das Pharaoh, each delivering remixes that reflect why progressive house enthusiasts hold this record in high esteem. Both interpretations stay around 123 BPM, aligning perfectly with the genre’s sweet spot for groove and immersion. Paul Thomas’ remix exemplifies deep, melodic progression: its low-end features a meticulously engineered, thumping bassline layered with chunky drum programming and subtle percussive textures that build tension without cluttering the mix. The haunting original vocal is artfully processed—chopped, filtered, and layered to generate a hypnotic, almost cinematic atmosphere. The breakdown section showcases lush sound design, with warm analog-inspired synths, bell-like melodic phrases, and spatial effects that give the track a rich stereo field, creating a moment of suspension before the rhythm re-engages. Das Pharaoh’s remix takes a more peak-time, main-room approach, demonstrating a tighter rhythmic structure and a polished, high-energy mixdown. The basslines are heavier and more percussive, supported by crisp, pounding drums that cut through the mix with precision. His sound design leans into hypnotic arpeggios and soaring pads, creating an expansive auditory landscape. The breakdown, where the vocal takes center stage, is a moment of introspective release, skillfully enhanced by reverb tails and delay effects that swell into a powerful drop. The return of the beat delivers a euphoric climax, engineered to captivate dancefloors during prime-time sets. For progressive house aficionados, these remixes embody why the genre is so revered: an artful balance of atmosphere and groove, meticulous layering, and a production approach that rewards both emotional immersion and technical appreciation. This release not only respects the legacy of the original but elevates it into the contemporary arena with #PureGold execution. Love IT[/content]
