Dimitris Kechagias Review: [review top="1"] [item value="10"]Dj T.H., Paul Miller & Pink Control - Kiss Of Death[/item]
[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]Dj T.H., Paul Miller & Pink Control’s track Kiss Of Death is an outstanding example of modern uplifting trance at 140 BPM, merging technical excellence with emotional resonance. From the very first beat, the track exhibits impeccable rhythm, groove, and drive, propelled by tight, pounding drums and a thumping kick that establishes a solid foundation for high-energy movement. The metallic basslines interlock with the percussion to create a dynamic, forward-moving momentum that keeps listeners fully engaged. This rhythmic foundation perfectly supports the melodic hooks and harmonic layers, which are reminiscent of classic VANDIT-style synths and give the track both a nostalgic and contemporary edge. The harmonic richness ensures that each peak and valley in the arrangement feels purposeful and satisfying. The seamless transitions, drops, and build-ups demonstrate a masterclass in arrangement and structure. The producers weave tension and release through gradual layering and rhythmic shifts, culminating in explosive drops that deliver both sonic impact and emotional payoff. The energy flow is constant yet dynamic, maintaining a sense of progression that captivates the listener from start to finish. This is enhanced by the impeccable sound design and production quality, with precise EQing, professional use of compression, and a spacious mix that allows each element to breathe. Effects and spatial design, including reverb tails and stereo imaging, are used with restraint and intention, enhancing immersion without overwhelming the core elements of the track. The track’s originality is evident in the nuanced arrangement and its ability to blend old-school trance motifs with modern production techniques. The dynamic range and loudness balance are optimized for both club and festival environments, allowing the track to cut through large sound systems without sacrificing musical detail. The atmosphere is immersive and uplifting, creating a heightened emotional state that resonates deeply with listeners. Scientifically, studies have shown that music with strong rhythmic structures and emotionally positive harmonic content can stimulate dopamine release and enhance mood (Salimpoor et al., 2011). The track’s powerful vocals and lyrical content elevate this response further, triggering emotional resonance and a sense of euphoria. “Kiss Of Death” also demonstrates high catchiness and replay value, thanks to its memorable vocal hook and tight melodic phrasing. For DJs, its intro and outro structures are practical, with consistent BPM and easy synchronization, making it ideal for set flow and live performance. Cue points and looping potentials are plentiful, providing opportunities for creative mixing. The high-energy drops and builds are perfectly suited for fitness and wellness classes, where rhythmic consistency and emotionally uplifting content can improve exercise performance and reduce perceived exertion (Terry et al., 2020). In mental health contexts, trance music of this caliber can enhance focus, reduce stress, and facilitate flow states, aligning with research linking musical engagement to improved mood and cognitive flexibility (Thoma et al., 2013). Furthermore, the track’s immersive soundscape and cohesive storytelling foster a sense of unity and collective energy in live settings, amplifying crowd reaction potential. In summary, “Kiss Of Death” is a pure triumph of trance production that excels across every technical and artistic criterion, delivering an experience that is not only sonically satisfying but also beneficial for wellness, fitness, and emotional upliftment. Its combination of high-quality sound design, dynamic arrangement, and emotional intensity makes it an indispensable track for DJs and listeners who seek both musical and psychological stimulation. #PureGold Loveit[/content]

Dimitris Kechagias Review: [review top="1"] [item value="10"]DJ T.H., Van Cosmic & Damae – The Other Way[/item]
[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"] DJ T.H., Van Cosmic & Damae deliver a sparkling Dream Dance masterpiece with “The Other Way,” a 137 BPM uplifting trance track filled with emotional resonance and dancefloor energy. Damae’s powerful and elegant vocal performance drives the emotional core, supported by pulsating basslines, crisp percussion, and euphoric synth layers. The track strikes a perfect balance of technical excellence and emotional storytelling, making it ideal for club sets, festival stages, and even wellness or fitness sessions, as studies show upbeat electronic music can boost mood and physical performance (Karageorghis & Priest, 2012). The rhythmic foundation of the track is tight and driving, with a four-on-the-floor kick pattern complemented by dynamic hi-hats and syncopated percussion loops. This carefully layered groove maintains steady forward motion, enhancing aerobic activity during fitness routines and encouraging synchronization in group exercise (Terry et al., 2020). Lush melodic structures are at the heart of “The Other Way.” Bright plucked leads and wide pads intertwine with Damae’s vocals to create harmonic richness that captures attention and promotes emotional uplift. The layered melodic approach provides both tension and release, a technique known to increase dopamine responses and general well-being during music listening (Salimpoor et al., 2011). The track’s transitions are executed with mastery, using smooth risers, filtered sweeps, and reverse effects to guide the listener toward explosive drops. Each build-up is meticulously timed for maximum crowd impact, reinforcing the dancefloor experience while also providing a predictable rhythmic pulse that supports exercise timing and performance. Energy flow is consistent from start to finish, balancing introspective breakdowns with high-energy peaks. This promotes catharsis and can elevate both mental focus and emotional release, making it suitable for meditation-through-movement as well as intense cardio sessions. Production quality is polished, featuring crystal-clear highs, punchy mids, and a powerful low end. Sidechain compression and stereo imaging ensure that every element has space, giving the track clarity and depth that translates well on both large festival speakers and smaller wellness studio systems. While adhering to classic trance structures, the track refreshes the format by introducing unique vocal phrasing and layered melodic counterpoints, keeping listeners engaged and reinforcing its emotional journey. Effects and spatial design further enhance immersion, with reverb tails, ping-pong delays, and subtle phaser effects creating a three-dimensional soundscape. This sonic environment promotes reduced stress and improved mood, as immersive audio experiences have been linked to positive parasympathetic nervous system responses (Thoma et al., 2013). Despite its festival-ready loudness, the track preserves dynamic range, allowing vocals and melodic layers to breathe without inducing ear fatigue. Ethereal pads, airy vocal ad-libs, and spacious reverb weave together to create an energizing yet emotionally immersive atmosphere that encourages escapism and mental clarity. Damae’s heartfelt vocal performance is both technically precise and emotionally profound, amplifying the lyrical theme of hope and movement. Her delivery elicits strong positive emotions, supporting the therapeutic benefits of music, from mood enhancement to improved emotional regulation. Memorable hooks, tight arrangement, and high-energy drops give “The Other Way” exceptional replay value. Its peak-time energy makes it a festival favorite, while its uplifting tone supports group fitness and wellness sessions. DJs will find it highly functional thanks to its consistent BPM, well-marked cue points, and strong loop potential, making it easy to integrate into trance or melodic house sets. Scientific research highlights that high-tempo, emotionally engaging music can enhance physical endurance, reduce perceived exertion, and elevate mood (Karageorghis & Priest, 2012; Terry et al., 2020). “The Other Way” embodies these principles, standing out as both an energizing entertainment experience and a powerful tool for wellness and mental health. #PureGold Love It[/content]

Regular Coldharbour contributors indiviudally, DJ T.H. & ReDub combine their talents for Stars, featuring lyrics from Angel City.
Both respective outfits have impressed under the vocal trance guise previously, notably through pieces such as Stealing Time (by DJ T.H. & Jan Johnston) and Summer (by ReDub and Miss Nine).
Stars generates a pensively soft terrain, allowing Angel City's harmonies to shine; cumulating in an emotionally resonating vocal trance wonder.
[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]In "Stars," DJ T.H. and ReDub showcase their adeptness in creating a deeply immersive progressive trance experience, enhanced by the ethereal vocals of Angel City. The production is meticulously crafted, balancing rich textures and rhythmic complexity, which makes this track a standout. Beginning with deeply pulsating basslines, the track establishes a strong foundation that is both hypnotic and engaging. These basslines are complemented by thumping kicks that give the track its driving force, pushing the energy forward without overpowering the listener. This careful calibration ensures that the track retains its emotional intensity throughout. Dynamic percussion layers add a lively dimension to the soundscape, with each element finely tuned to ensure clarity and punch. These percussive elements are interwoven seamlessly with warm, tender harps and strings, which introduce a delicate melodious undertone that supports the vocals gracefully. The use of synths is particularly noteworthy in "Stars." They are programmed to deliver powerful melodies that are not only catchy but also possess an emotive depth, contributing to the track’s overall narrative arc. These melodies are dynamic, evolving as the track progresses, thus ensuring that listener engagement is maintained. Additionally, the track features Balearic touches—a nod to sun-drenched soundscapes—imparting a sense of warmth and optimism that contrasts beautifully with the colder, darker elements present. This juxtaposition symbolizes the transition from winter to spring, making "Stars" a suitable anthem for the changing seasons. The meticulous attention to detail in the production of "Stars" highlights DJ T.H.'s and ReDub’s strengths in creating a lush, dreamy musical landscape. [content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"] DJ T.H. & Jam Da Bass & Jaki Nelson combine their forces to service the vocal trance world with an exceptional uplifting progressive vocal trance jewel. Never Thought I’d Find You deserves many plays in clubs and festivals as it contains all the right and exact elements to excite the listener and absorb him into its sonic world. Pumping pounding basslines with thumping kicks and punchy drums merged with ethereal synthy layers and warm strings to support Jaki's fantastic performance. Her vocal is sensitive and truly emotional with unique tones as she sings the singalong lyrics. The breakdown reveals the huge rave like synthy riff that will charge you with the needed amount of energy to keep on jumping and dancing all night for sure. #PureGold Love IT [/content]

[item value="9"]DJ T.H. & Nadi Sunrise ft. Robin Vane - Show Me The Way[/item]
[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]Euphonic is well known for the excellent tracks and one of them is the fantastic Show Me The Way by DJ T.H. & Nadi Sunrise ft. Robin Vane. The original is a straight forward uplifting feel good warm trancer with solid bass, driving atmosphere, emotional breakdown with cool piano, harp, and strings along with big swirling synths that highlight the sensitive Robin Vane vocals who always has his very unique approach to singing. The climax is like a powerful turnado so better let yourself go with the magic flow. Cabriolet Paris remix is a mesmerizing deep progressive version that can stand easily in early morning trance sets and deep progressive house as well. Excellent application of the main melody that sounds so dreamy and anthemic at the same time pushing the whole track to the next level with the nice deep basslines, slightly tropical house influences and even breaks like sequence in the breakdown. The vocal has a lot of echoes and distortions so it would be cool idea to provide the dub versions as well. #PureGold Love IT [/content]
Imagine German Steve Brian under his deeper Cabriolet Paris project teams up with Canadian DJ Dezza... :-) Sounds interesting!? Of course. Here is their first-ever collab called 'Santa Cruz'.
This release gets completed with a proper Trance remix by DJ T.H.!
Check it on Euphonic Sessions with Kyau & Albert - April 2018

[item value="10"]Cabriolet Paris & Dezza - Santa Cruz incl DJ T.H. Remix[/item]
[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]Euphonic constantly provides magnificent releases like the latest Cabriolet Paris aka Steve Brian & Dezza beauty called Santa Cruz. The original is a warm cross-over between trance and progressive house with tribalish groove, pumping basslines and great choral breakdown with luscious atmosphere with heavenly voices and warm strings along with uplifting synths. It will easily cast a spell on you and get you on board for a nice melancholic moody ride perfect for Sunday afternoon parties. DJ T.H. Remix transforms the original into a powerful electro proglifting trancer that is upfront and epic with focus on the emotional uplifting synths and the superb feel good melody with that sad touch that will crawl under your skin and give you goosebumps to die for. Quality release not to be missed. #PureGold Love iT [/content]
With releases on Andy Moor's AVA Recordings, Jordan Suckley's Damaged Records, Monster Force, Redux Recordings, Levitated Music (Abora), Discover, Critical State and many more, DJ T.H. has put a nice footprint of his own into the trance scene in the last few years. With remixes by Alex Wright, Nolita, and Alex Bryka, his single with vocalist Alisha Nauth 'Lost In Me' is out on FloE's Entrancing Music label on Monday 30th January 2017. We caught up with Thomas ahead of the release to talk a bit about what got him into DJing and his experiences so far.
Interview was written and conducted by Alex Wright, Electronic Music Producer & 1Mix Radio host.
Alex: Hey Thomas, thanks for speaking to us at FluxBPM Online! How have you been recently and what have you been up to?
Thomas: Hey Alex, thanks for this interview. It's going well here. I've been working on lots of new stuff actually, more information will be coming soon. It was nice to have you remix 'Lost In Me', your remix works so well.
Alex: How long have you been DJing and what were the early days of learning and playing like for you?
Thomas: I've been DJing for years now, DJing and producing professionally since 2009/2010. The early days of DJing were interesting experiences for me and the early days of producing were really hard. There is so much to learn to be able to produce good music.
Alex: Where was your first gig?
Thomas: My first gig was at an official event called 'Save Our Souls' in Cologne.
Alex: What has been your favourite gig to date?
Thomas: It's hard to say, I've played at many great events. My favorites were the We Love Trance events in Hamburg 2016 and 2015.; the Legendary Event in Wuppertal in 2014 with Solarstone; and Essen Original in 2013 with more than 2,000 people.
Alex: You've released many great tracks over the last few years. Which one was the most important release for you in terms of progressing your career and how was it?
Thomas: My best releases until now are my collab with Cyre 'Salida Del Sol' which won the A State Of Trance Future Favourite;
my collab with Rene Ablaze and Ian Buff which was the "10 Years Anthem" for Redux Recordings;
and of course 'New Day' with Denis Sender and Hanna Finsen which was included on 'A State Of Trance Year Mix 2015' by Armin van Buuren!
My greatest solo tunes were 'Dancing In Chinatown' in 2013, 'Haunting' in 2015, 'Nocturnal Creature' in 2016, and of course 'Lost In Me' with Alisha in 2017!
Alex: Do we expect any new releases or gigs to come later this year from you that you can tell us about?
Thomas: My next releases are my tunes 'Where We Belong' with Natalia Meister on Pure Energy Records, 'Be My Hero' with Robin Vane on Fenology Records, a collab with female DJ Miss Cortex on Redux Recordings, and a great upcoming vocal collab with FloE and Kate Miles on Entrancing Music. Even more are in the making actually! I may also announce that I play in summer 2017 at one of the biggest German festivals, more information will be coming soon!
Alex: Awesome! Thanks for taking the time out to talk to us Thomas, it's great to hear from you and I wish you the best of luck for the future. Remember, anybody wanting to buy a copy of any 'Lost In Me' can do so when it comes out on Monday 30th January, if you haven't heard them yet make sure to take a listen to all the mixes included in this interview!
