EDX returns with MOYO - a high-energy club weapon made for summer nights and festival stages. Packed with vibrant rhythms and feel-good vibes, it’s the perfect soundtrack for the season.
[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"] EDX returns with "MOYO"—an electrifying club anthem meticulously crafted for summer nights and festival stages. This track pulses with vibrant rhythms, radiating feel-good vibes that make it an essential soundtrack for the season. As a stalwart in the global house scene, EDX consistently pushes the envelope with his innovative productions, and "MOYO" is no exception. At its core, "MOYO" is a 124 BPM melodic progressive house masterpiece. The production showcases EDX's signature style, blending pulsating basslines with thumping, chunky grooves that create an irresistible dancefloor energy. The bassline is crafted with precision, employing sidechain compression techniques to ensure it breathes seamlessly with the kick drum, creating that quintessential "pump" effect synonymous with progressive house. The track’s rhythm section features wonky percussion elements, adding a playful yet sophisticated texture. EDX utilizes a variety of percussive samples layered with subtle delay and reverb effects to create spatial depth. The groove is further enhanced by intricate hi-hat patterns, which inject dynamic movement and keep the energy flowing. Ethereal vocal chops float harmoniously throughout the composition, processed with reverb and slight pitch modulation to achieve a dreamy, otherworldly quality. These airy vocals are complemented by mesmerizing synths and lush, dreamy soundscapes. The synth work in "MOYO" is particularly noteworthy—EDX employs a mixture of analog and digital synthesizers, utilizing wavetable synthesis to craft rich, evolving textures. Modulation parameters such as LFOs (Low-Frequency Oscillators) are meticulously automated to create subtle shifts in tone and timbre, maintaining listener engagement. The track’s breakdown is where EDX’s production prowess truly shines. A slightly distorted synth hook takes center stage, characterized by its memorable melody and harmonic warmth. This hook is achieved through careful layering of saw wave synths, enriched with harmonic distortion and stereo widening effects to create a fuller, immersive sound. The buildup employs risers and filtered noise sweeps, gradually increasing tension before the drop. When the drop hits, it’s pure euphoria. Designed to incite mayhem on festival mainstages, the drop reintroduces the pulsating bassline and chunky groove with added intensity. The energy is amplified through the strategic use of transient shapers and multiband compression, ensuring each element punches through the mix with clarity and power. "MOYO" is a testament to EDX’s deft touch and deep understanding of club dynamics. It’s not just a summer hit—it’s a meticulously engineered dancefloor weapon, crafted with technical finesse and boundless creativity. #PureGold Love IT[/content]

Grammy-nominated DJ, producer and Sirup Music label boss Maurizio Colella aka EDX is kicking off the festival season with an all new and fresh Hit single. DESIRE is a beauty- and powerful Pop meets Dance song, featuring Australia based singer/songwriter Jess Ball on vocal duties.
EDX once again satisfies the needs of music enthusiasts with his world-famous signature sound, a sophisticated entanglement of beat-driven grooves and melodic soundscapes, perfectly rounded off with emotionally profound lyrics.
Following his previously released club anthem "Cobalt", this one is bound to make some serious noise on worldwide dance floors and beyond.
Something called desire... it offers anything but help.
[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]EDX, a renowned figure in the global house music scene, continues to push boundaries with his latest single "Desire." This track marks a slight departure from his recent club-centric productions, pivoting towards an upfront vocal house vibe with pop dance crossover appeal. Delving deeper into its technical intricacies, "Desire" showcases EDX's mastery in music production, blending traditional and contemporary elements seamlessly. The track kicks off with energetic, pulsating basslines crafted using sidechain compression techniques to create a dynamic interplay between the bass and the thumping kick drums. The kicks themselves are meticulously layered, combining punchy 909 samples with subtle sub-bass layers to achieve both clarity and depth in the low-end spectrum. Dynamic percussion elements, including crisp hi-hats and snappy claps, are placed strategically to maintain rhythmic drive. EDX employs intricate groove quantization to give the percussion a humanized, natural feel, enhancing the track's danceability. The melodic framework is enriched with melodramatic string arrangements, likely synthesized with virtual instruments that emulate orchestral textures. Dark, synthy melodies weave through the composition, crafted using analog emulation plugins that give them a warm, vintage character. The moody soundscapes are achieved through creative use of reverb and delay effects, adding spatial depth and emotional resonance. Jess Ball's vocals are a standout feature, captured with high-fidelity condenser microphones to preserve the nuances of her unique timbre. Her infectious lyrics are supported by precise vocal processing, including EQ, compression, and subtle pitch correction to maintain naturalness while ensuring clarity in the mix. The track’s 127 BPM tempo aligns perfectly with melodic house and techno sensibilities, allowing for seamless integration into DJ sets. Its arrangement is meticulously structured, with tension-building breakdowns, euphoric drops, and smooth transitions facilitated by automation of filters and effects. Already climbing the charts, "Desire" is poised to be a definitive summer anthem, a testament to EDX’s technical prowess and artistic vision. #PureGold #LoveIT [/content]

To Sander Kuypers, music is home. It’s in rapturous melodies and heart-pounding basslines where he feels the sense of belonging. Fuelled by an undying love for all things music, this Dutch producer and DJ has made the goal to speak his musical mind and blaze his own trail forward. To be heard, his music felt and leave an impact on the international scene.
Hailing from the Dutch village of Druten and growing up in a family of musicians and dedicated music lovers, music has always played a major part in Sander’s everyday life. The radio would never stop playing, and with both his parents enamoured by the classical genre, it’s no wonder that the next generation found his solace in the trancy side of electronic music. Combined with an open mind towards other genres, Sander’s personal playlist is made of rock, pop, folk, country and EDM – a real melting pot of styles – as reflected in his own sound.
More than a dedicated music fan, Sander soon discovered he needed music to play a more significant part of his life. Doing a study in real estate to join his father’s company, made Sander realise he was missing the creative spark, the one thing that energized him. Moved him – and offered space to express himself. And so, he followed his heart and subscribed to the Elite program of Utrecht’s Sound Education course. There, he learned the basics of music making – and more. With tutors like Maarten Vorwerk, Mischa Jakobi and Victor Leicher (DubVision), he was taught the structure of music arrangement, how to handle professional studio equipment and bring out the best in his own sound. Rearranging and professionalizing his own studio was one of the goals, as well as learning to produce music efficiently – making sure that ‘less is more’. Music theory and arrangements were Sander’s favourites – always keeping the melody as the connecting, red wire through all of his productions.
At the moment, Sander is a self-employed painter during the day and a producer at night, using all of his spare time perfecting his sound and growing as a producer. Making music fulltime is his one goal, trying to build his own brand and, ultimately, connecting with people through his own originals and performances. Showtime is a major factor for Sander, as he dreams of moving ten-thousands of dedicated dance floor lovers at a time. Dreaming big, he invests all of his energy into making sure that happens, one day. Anything that works against that, is deleted from his life. Efficiency, dedication and a relentless passion for music, is what drives this eager mind.
With a sound that’s uplifting, euphoric and emotional, Sander’s sound doesn’t let itself be defined by a single genre. It’s a fusion of dance, prog-house, country and pop, reflecting and translating Sander’s vision that everyone is unique, as well as every bit of music. Forward-thinking, genre-bending combinations that steal your heart – and may sound odd on paper, but perfectly blend as soon as it hits the ear. It’s right here, comfortably stuck between the genres, where exciting new music comes to life – as it originates from the Sander Kuypers studio.
