We are pleased to announce the Top 100 DJs party for the first time ever in Manchester on Sunday 19th October, where over 5000 clubbers will witness a very special performance from the individual voted this year’s world #1 DJ at what is set to be the UK’s biggest Top 100 DJ party at the iconic Victoria Warehouse.

UK fans can expect to ride on a high with the 2014 winner, as the Manchester event will be one of the first performances for the individual newly hailed as the world’s #1 DJ, having only been awarded the top spot a mere day before at the Official awards ceremony in Amsterdam on Saturday 18th October.

Previous winners of the industry’s highly coveted award include Hardwell in 2013 who achieved record breaking sales at Victoria Warehouse at the start of this year, selling out two consecutive shows within a matter of hours. Armin van Buuren won the previous year with a total of 5 wins under his belt and back in 2011 we saw David Guetta take the top spot. Other winners include Tiesto (three times), Paul van Dyk (twice), Paul Oakenold (twice), Carl Cox (twice), Sasha & John Digweed.

As well as the world’s #1 DJ, the night will feature some of the biggest dance acts right now. As an established regular in the Top 100 DJs poll, having comfortably secured a place in the treasured top 10 for the past three years, Dash Berlin will be debuting at the Manchester venue and fans will get to witness a DJ who is without a doubt at the very top of his game.

Having hit the #14 spot last year, we are pleased to welcome W&W to the line up. Fusing styles and mixing influences, the duo have been dominating dance floors and festivals the world over and continue to prove their status as innovators & tastemakers in the scene with track releases such as ‘Bigfoot’ & more recently their collaboration with the current #1 DJ, Hardwell; ‘The Dance Floor Is Yours’

Debuting in last years poll at #74, Dannic will be joining Manchester’s Top 100 DJ Party line up. The last 12 months have been a whirlwind for Dannic, who has toured the world extensively alongside the 2013 world’s #1 DJ Hardwell, wowing crowds in Manchester at the sold out I am Hardwell shows at the Victoria Warehouse, as well firmly establishing himself as a key player within the industry releasing top tracks such as ‘Lion’, ‘Zenith’ & ‘Blueprint’ alongside Sick Individuals

It’s the dream of many producers to hear their track played at a big important event in front of their dance music idols. Which is why Armada Music have teamed up with DJ Mag for a very special competition.

Armada Music & Dj Mag asked you to create an anthem for the Top 100 DJs awards show — and offered a very special prize for the winning entrant.

Can you imagine hearing your own track played at the Top 100 DJs awards show in Amsterdam in front of tons of industry figures and the world’s top DJs? This could be the perfect springboard to launch your international DJ career!

Dj Mag asked you to create a new track, no more than nine minutes long, and send it to DJ Mag HQ. We were literally inundated with submissions from pretty much every country in the world and in every conceivable genre! The entries have been whittled down to five finalists, which have now been uploaded to DJ Mag’s YouTube channel for you have your say.

You can listen to the finalist mixes in the player below. ’Like’ your favourites, as the number of plays and positive feedback will be one of the factors the judges will consider! The winning track will be signed to Armada Music and played at the Top 100 DJs Awards ceremony in Amsterdam on Saturday, October 18th.

DJ Mag, in partnership with Armada Music, has announced a very special competition to give one lucky winner the chance to create the anthem for the Top 100 DJs awards show — and there’s a very special prize for the winning entrant.

The winning track will open and close the Top 100 DJs awards ceremony in Amsterdam on 18 October. DJ Mag and Armada Music will fly the winning artist to Amsterdam especially for the ceremony, and the competition winner will have a meet and greet with the No.1 DJ in the world — and a chance to network with other top DJs. The winning track will then be released by Armada Music.

All budding producers have to do is create a new track, no more than nine minutes long, and send it to DJ Mag HQ. The track can be in any style, but remember — it’s an anthem for an awards show. Probably best to think EPIC! The closing date is September 18th.

Entrants should send the track in a downloadable format (no attachments) to top100anthem[at]djmag[dot]com along with all relevant contact details for the submission.

A panel of industry experts will then select the ten best tracks which will be uploaded to the DJ Mag YouTube and Soundcloud channels for public voting for a fortnight. The winner will be chosen by a combination of likes, plays, positive comments and judging from DJ Mag’s expert industry panel.

The World’s biggest DJ poll as voted for by fans is underway once again and for the next three months electronic artists will employ every method of communication as they clamber for the all important votes. Campaigns vary from tedious to hilarious and then some are spot on genius - Nicky Romero’s is just that.

In a campaign entitled #callnicky – fans are invited to interact with the star by entering their phone number at www.callnickyromero.com. Moments later, Nicky Romero is seen via video - there are nine scenarios in total - dialing the number followed by what appears to be a live conversation with the caller. In what is a flawless process where voice and video are in total synchronicity, Protocol Management, Romero and with the help of Anglo/Dutch creative agency DARE TO DIFR have created a truly engaging experience for fans.

Explaining the concept, Jorik van de Pol, A&R and Digital Director at Protocol Management said: We as a team have tried to come up with an idea that would really set us apart from what anyone else does at this time of year, and over the next three months a much bigger story will unfold. For Nicky and for us, fan engagement at everything we do is our priority and so rather than repeatedly asking fans to vote for Nicky, it was about giving people the opportunity to play with something over a period of time. 

Martijn Zijerveld of Dare to Difr: When Protocol Management approached us to see if we could help to take their idea to a flawless execution, both from a UX/UI design and a development perspective, we were excited as the story idea was great and was executable. The DJ Mag Top 100 DJs poll is the world's most definitive barometer of the global popularity of dance music DJs. Taking place each year between July and September the poll asks DJ Mag readers, clubbers and DJs' fans to vote for their favorite artists via the DJ Mag Facebook page and for the first time this year via Google log-in. The votes are then aggregated and the top 100 most popular DJs are celebrated in order in a special edition of the magazine and at several award ceremonies/parties in Amsterdam and London in mid October.
