We were there again at Tomorrowland, the gigantic EDM three days festival that is organised with phenomenal success at the recreational park De Shore, Boom in Belgium.

Tomorrowland raised the standards once again for the rest of event organisers around the globe to follow and manage to reach. The 3rd day of the festival was the best for us and we were looking forward for the fantastic Tranceaddict stage that some of the best trance/progressive djs/producers were about to perform and light our day and night. On Tranceaddict stage the very successful duo Tritonal from Texas were making their Tomorrowland debut.  At the moment Tritotal are rocking the download charts with their superb hybrid sound of beautiful melodies  and tough energetic beats and with their exceptional remixes for other artists. Tritonal is the most requested production team  at the moment every label trying to secure  a remix from them.

What is more,  their upcoming remixed version of their very first album Piercing The Quiet will be released in September including amazing new versions by Rafael Frost,Super 8 & Tab, Stoneface & Terminal and many more. Within this very informative and rich with content interview you will learn about how the Tritonal project started and what exactly that name stands for. They talk of course about their remixed album and how they choose the artists who did the remixes for them. They reveal their forthcoming projects including remixes for BT & Cosmic Gate.  Of course we asked them about their famous radio show and they confess  the most weird places that happened to record their show. If you want to take a glimpse on the Tritonal phenomenon watch this interview now.

Tasty info about Tritonal:
After only several years of united production, progressive trance duo Tritonal has gone from unknown newcomers to one of the top names in the international electronic dance music scene. Currently standing at #83 on DJ Mag's Top 100 DJs List, Tritonal continues to launch track after track up the Beatport charts and into the sets of some of the most renowned and respected DJs in the world. Their debut artist album "Piercing the Quiet" produced seven top 20 Beatport singles, including five that held the #1 position on the trance chart.

Such a rapid ascent into the forefront of an ever-changing dance music scene might intimidate even the most seasoned musicians, but the duo who "complete each other's musical sentences" have captured the hearts and ears of fans and DJs alike. Chad Cisneros and Dave Reed formed this dynamic musical partnership from opposite ends of the United States after meeting online in a sound production forum. Within a year of collaboration, their first smash hit 'Piercing Quiet' was voted best track by listeners of Armin van Buuren's A State of Trance radio show and the pair was on the fast track to becoming one of the U.S.'s—and the world's—most exciting and innovative acts to watch.

In 2011, Tritonal stood out on the festival circuit, winning over legions of EDM fans at massive gatherings such as Electric Daisy Carnival, Escape From Wonderland, Ultra Music Festival and Nocturnal. They also managed to find time to launch their own record label, Air Up There Recordings, provide a guest mix for Trance Around the World with Above & Beyond, become the resident DJs on Sirius XM's Electric Area, and syndicate their popular Air Up There radio show throughout five continents.

2012 has continued at the same pace, as the pair have traveled to cities all over the U.S. India, Australia for the legendary Creamfields tour, and ASOT550 in Den Bosch and Miami.

With a fan base of dedicated Tritonians expanding rapidly around the world and a truly memorable, vivacious stage presence which must be seen to be believed, Tritonal continues to shower music lovers with their uplifting, original material and electrifying remixes of some of the best dance music today.

We were there again for 3rd year. Tomorrowland 2012 was the best and most technologically advanced edition of the festival that manage to grow very rapidly and become 3 days festival and last year received the IDMA award for the BEST GLOBAL DANCE EVENT of the world. On Sunday 29th of July we met for an interview with the producer,dj and radio host Sean Tyas. Sean was born in  USA  but now resides in Swiss. The globally  famous producer in this interview talks about his fascination after his 140BPM uplifting trance anthems with new styles such as electro and he give us a hint about his forthcoming electro release on Big Fish rec. He reveals that his label Tytanium records will move from Spinnin to another major label and he tell us about his first release on his renovated record label. Also he give us his opinion about Tomorrowland festival that has the global reputation of attracting the best crowd. What is more we ask him about his very successful radio show Tytanium Sessions that he has great fun to record it. Its for sure a great interview to watch and learn the future moves of Sean Tyas.

Tasty info about Sean Tyas:

New York native, Switzerland based DJ/Producer Sean Tyas is something of a leading light in European trance. Currently ranked #46 in DJ Magazine"s Top 100 DJ Poll 2009, he was also earmarked by BBC Radio 1"s Pete Tong as a "buzzword in trance circles" head of his debut Essential Mix for the station back in February 2009 and hooked by industry power house Beatport has a "One to watch in 2009", leaving little surprise that 2009 went down as undoubtedly his biggest period to date.

Having cut out his niche in the highly competitive production arena to create countless hit tracks, remixes and bootlegs, Sean brings to the dancefloor a mix of melodic harmony, driving groove and cutting edge production techniques.

The distinctive Sean Tyas sound has captured the imagination of the trance community with the highest echelons of the trance elite such as Armin van Buuren, Paul van Dyk, Judge Jules, Ferry Corsten, Sander van Doorn and Above & Beyond amongst the heavyweight playlist support. Sean also has legions of fans at grass roots level, from message boards, budding DJs and radio listeners, a fact proven by his meteoric rise up the ranks of popular polls such as the DJ Magazine Top 100 and TranceAddict.com, as well as being awarded 'Best New Face' winner at the recent Trance Awards as well as #3 Best Remixer and #5 Best Producer, with Mixmag also awarding him #8 in their 'Best New DJs' at the end of 2007.

It was in 2006 that Sean Tyas first started to make waves in the trance scene, winning the much hyped Spinnin' Records remix competition for his rework of Sander van Doorn 'Punk'd', and next signed to the Discover label. His first solo release for the label didn't disappoint either, with the energetic and euphoric 'Lift' being one of the biggest releases of 2006 and awarded Single Of The Week on Armin's A State Of Trance show as well as getting signed onto countless best selling compilations. Many big name remixes followed for Sean Tyas, with the magic touch added to tracks from Bobina, Agnelli & Nelson, Vincent de Moor and Above & Beyond amongst others in the past 12 months.

Undeniably a genius behind the controls in a studio, Sean Tyas has also translated his technical talents and popular sounds into one of the most in demand DJ sets in trance today. Demand for Sean Tyas the DJ has soared on the back of both his production success and show stopping performances.

In the UK and Ireland Sean Tyas has built up a solid fan base at major events such as Godskitchen, Gatecrasher, Ministry Of Sound, The Gallery and Inside Out, while elsewhere in Europe he's also made his mark on many famous stages, ranging from the Trance Energy, Dance Valley and Mystery Land festivals in Holland, the Monday Bar cruises in Sweden, Judgement Sundays at Eden in Ibiza, east European shows at the Gaudi Arena in Moscow and Beach Party in Poland. In 2008 Sean Tyas has also performed as international resident on all the Godskitchen Global Gathering events worldwide in the main trance arena, and his DJ schedule is further impressive in every continent, with tours of Australia, South America and USA & Canada.

Recent times have seen more trance bombs dropped from the Tyas camp, including a coveted collaboration project with 3 times world #1 DJ Armin van Buuren titled 'Intricacy' and the chart topping 'Somethin's Up' project with Simon Patterson, as well as massive remixes of Tiesto's 'Suburban Train', Gareth Emery feat. Lucy Saunders 'Sanctuary', & Dash Berlin feat Emma Hewitt 'Waiting'..

On the compilation front Sean has amassed impressive sales from his various CD projects in Discover's 'Live At USA' and 'Technoclub' CDs to his 'Trance Word Vol 3' which was released on Armada back in August 2008. His follow projects have been a CD for ID&T"s "Trance Energy" as part of the TE"s debut tour of Australia, where Sean featured as one of the headlining acts. He was also selected to compile and mix one of the CDs for the first official "Euphoria Trance Awards" compilation album for Ministry of Sound. To culminate all the recent success, his first official Tytanium Sessions compilation titled Alpha, spanning 2 discs of the Tytanium sound, was released in 2011, further expanding the Tytanium Sessions show brand into another medium.

One final piece of the puzzle has been put into place this year, and that is Tytanium Recordings, Sean's label. The launch release of 'By The Way' has already put this label and brand into top gear, with many great releases, in line with the Tytanium sound & ideal, soon to come!

In the Studio

A huge focal point of Sean's work up until now, is the Apple Mac Pro running Logic Studio. "I think with Logic, I can really quickly get my ideas out of my head and into my ears". Many aditional plugins help to complete the task of course, but mostly everything is done with proprietary logic stuff. Except of course, for the speakers. For the studio, for over the last year, I use and trust the VXT8's by KRK implicitly, They are the PERFECT balance betwen razor sharp accurate monitoring, and keeping the workflow fun, because really now, they are monsters. All is kept in check by keeping a KRK ERGO Room Optimization unit patched in before the speakers, "which really attentuates the boom that the natural acoustics of the material of the walls wat to reflect back in to what I hear. It's a great way to hear the music as I work, and I trust what I hear, which is the most important."

On the go, Sean switches off to a pair of KRK KNS8400 Headphones. "At first, these were described to me as VST8s to put onto my head". Well, now he's a full believer, because he refuses to work with anything else when out of the studio.

We were there again for the third time this year. Tomorrowland 2012 is the most important dance festival in the world ever, and the most influential for music and cultural matters too. Nothing will be the same again after this year and its brand new concepts; such as the revolutionary co-operation with YouTube to set up its own Tomorrowland LIVE TV channel. One of the most successful stages on the Sunday was the fantastic ‘Smash The House meets Dirty Dutch’ stage that was organised by Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike + Chuckie. The line-up on this stage was the finest and the best you can imagine for a day of non-stop naughty, sexy, sweaty party moments. One of the DJ’s who played there was Gregori Klosman. The very talented Frenchman, with awesome remixes amongst his credits has remixes for artists such as Lady GaGa, David Guetta, Ne-Yo and many more. He has releases currently with Chuckie  and in our very cool video interview here, he talks about how he started his career, and in which labels he was fortunate to have releases. He reveals how he met Chuckie and became friends. We ask him about the European EDM invasion in the difficult USA market, and the contribution from David Guetta has made, and how his success paved the way for other French artists to follow his path. He tells us about his future gigs, and he reveals his love for the Island of Mykonos in Greece.  He shares with us his wildest DJ experience so far, and if you watch this will be unforgettable for you too. Lastly, we ask him why he believes that his fans and supporters should vote for him in the DJ Mag Top 100 DJ’s list.  Overall its a very entertaining and informative interview to watch, so you can glimpse into the life of Gregori Klosman - one of the biggest hopes in the house scene.

Working on such high profile artist's material was more than likely to turn a few heads, and sure enough Gregori's studio work has also attracted the attention of genre pioneers and current stars alike with Steve Angello, Afrojack, Tiesto and Chuckie all supporting his work.

Highlights have included more remix work for the likes of Bob Sinclar, Akon, Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike, D.O.N.S and Syke'n'Sugarstar.  Not to mention his celebrated co production "MUTFAKTA" with Chuckie, a storming Dutch house banger which reached number 3 in Beatport's overall chart as well as other high profile releases on labels such as Armada, Cr2, Nero and Spinnin.

2012 looks to be yet another action packed year for Gregori with a remix for Sean Paul already under his belt. Brand new releases include ‘Minibar’ on Hysteria Records and another solid collaboration with Chuckie on Big Beat called ‘Numb3r5’.

We were there again for 3rd year on the Best Global Dance Event of the world and we are still trying to recover from it. Tomorrowland festival is an experience that you enjoy in full capacity  for 3 days but the memories from it last for the whole year round until the time to come to enter its ground the next year. The festival was coming slowly to its end and we met at the artist area with the fantastic upcoming trance duo Tenishie from Malta   to discuss mainly their recently released album Memory of A Dream that is out now on Armada Music. We asked them to tell us how and when the project started and in which label they got their first signing. They highlight especially the crucial support in their career they got from the trance superstar dj Armin van Buuren who signed them in his label for 3 great releases that they produce with Kirsty Hawkshaw.  They reveal the collaborations they did for their album and we talk about their recent music video for As It Should that was filmed in Malta with the great vocals by  Jan Johnston who actually visit them in their studio in Malta to record the tracks.

Another question is about their current single Point of No Return on S107. Of course we ask them about their future gigs and they tell us how proud they feel to be invited to play at the Tranceaddict stage of Tomorrowland festival. They give us their opinion about European EDM artists invading with their music the USA market and of course we ask them about the special tracks that will play during their performance that by the way was fantastic. They played real, pure and just beautiful trance to dance and hug the big speakers of the brilliant soundsystem at the Tranceaddict stage. Enjoy this brilliant interview.

Tasty info about Tenishia:

Currently ranked 91 in the DJ MAG top 100, Tenishia hold their own as the most successful DJ/Producer in Malta, selling arena shows and appearing everywhere from TV to mobile phone adverts. Winners of ‘Best Newcomer Award 2005’′, ‘Best Live Performance 2005’′ and 3 years in a row ‘Best Dance Tune Award’ at the Malta Music Awards, Tenishia has proved to be an Icon to the young generation taking the clubbing scene by storm and building up enough fans to hold their own Tenishia Live events. They have been producing some of the biggest progressive trance tunes on Armada Music which are quickly spreading this musical phenomenon around the World!

Tenishia’s story started in Summer 2004 when Joven Grech and Cyprian Cassar met through mutual friends and joined forces for music production after a discussion about music in a small bar. Joven was already into djing for a few years while Cyprian had a perfect ear for good melodies due to his classical music background of playing the piano and other musical instruments from a very young age. Eventually their work in the studio paid off as they signed their first production to Armada in 2005, following with three big hits with Kirsty Hawkshaw on Armada’s top label Armind. One of which was ‘Outsiders’, which made it to big compilations such as ‘Ministry of Sound’ and ‘Cream Ibiza’ , got chosen as ‘One for the Weekend’ on BBC Radio and transformed Tenishia from national to international stars as their music got to the hands of some of the World’s biggest names.
Even though, Tenishia were already climbing the success ladder back in the home country of Malta with numerous gigs, including a booking at the MTV Summerdance Event and Creamfields, Tenishia got their biggest break trough in Malta when the World’s number one DJ, Armin van Buuren introduced them on stage while playing their already popular radio track ‘Burning from the Inside’. This sealed the deal, as it was the first time ever that such a big DJ played a locally made track which led to a whole revolution of a Club DJ on the island of Malta by inspiring young talents and already established DJs into music production.

Hard driven and a full of determination, Tenishia kept pushing their way through the road of success, working from their state of the art studio in Malta, producing, organizing their own Tenishia Live events and also establishing their own production school to help out the new talents. Today, Tenishia travel the world with their music. Taking the adventure to their fans in various countries.

They finally reveal that have produce many new tracks that soon will start releasing them with a goal to have an album ready in the near future. Enjoy this very entertaining and informative interview with the unstopable and charismatic duo.

Tasty info about Myon & Shane 54:

Myon & Shane 54 are one of the brightest stars of the so-called new generation of dance music producer / DJs.

Myon & Shane 54 were voted 62 in the 2010 DJ Mag Top 100 after two years of amazing achievements. This massive success is down to their mix of incredible talent and work rate. Their iconic chart topping productions and remixes, and performing their own defining brand of music and fantastic mashups on the DJ circuit have created a new exciting buzz in the genre.

The quality of their work was quickly spotted by 1 DJ Armin van Buuren, whose fans voted them straight into the live ASOT 400 live broadcast; featured on the last 2 ASOT compilation, and remixing his own productions. This has been echoed by other top producers including Andy Moor and Above & Beyond, who quickly signed them up to feature on their compilation albums.

They have produced an enviable list of productions including 'Vampire', 'Helpless', 'Not A Lot Left' and remixes 'Never Say Never' by Armin van Buuren, 'Under Your Spell' by Cosmic Gate and 'Love Comes Again' by Tiesto. On top of this they have a new 'Anjunaband' called 'Velvetine', a partnership with legendary trance singer Aruna on Ajunabeats.

Their story started in 2008 when Myon & Shane 54 decided to join forces. By the end of the first year of their existence, they were already household names of the scene with a notable amount of releases and a couple of Beatport number ones behind them.

2009 saw them playing their first big, international event, their ASOT 400 opening set was listened live by millions of trance fans all around the world.

They started their radio show and podcast, International Departures right after the party. The episodes quickly became very popular, partly thanks to the unique approach of shameless mashing up, something of a trademark that has become synonymous with the Hungarian duo. Their extensive tour diary serves the backbone to the International Departures TV Show, a first person view on the life of traveling DJs.

In 2010 they released their first album International Departures Soundtracks - a collection of songs that defined the era and mood of the first season of the TV show. It includes exclusive tracks, remixes, a fine - however far from complete - view on the first 2 years of their career.

Myon & Shane 54 are well known for their different take on dance music, which definitely makes them stand out from the mostly genre-conscious DJ scene. Through the quality of their releases, they already proved that these guys are something to reckon with, and they're here to stay providing a unique sound, that is truly theirs only.

EDM fans are demanding them at gigs across the globe leaving little time to unpack the suitcase between events. Myon & Shane 54 are set to become something they've always dreamt about: a driving force in dance music.

We were there again for 3rd year at Tomorrowland in Boom, Belgium and it was an unforgetable experience that will be hard to overcome.

Tomorrowland 2012, the BEST GLOBAL DANCE EVENT, was a massive success with the best ever edition so far. The organisation, the decoration, the sound, the fireworks and the best line up ever are some of the key elements behind the success of this fantastic festival.

On the 2nd day, 28th of July we met for a second time with Johan Gielen after the interview we did at Tomorrowland 2010. Johan is rocking the crowds currently with his collaboration with the legendary Belgian producer Jan Verloet on High Contrast/Be Yourself Music. Within this interview Johan Gielen talks about his future projects.  He tell us about his new record label that starts soon at Black Hole recordings that will showcase tracks from new artists, reworks of Johan Gielen classics and many more surprises. He talks about his next collaboration with Jan Vervloet  on High Contrast recordings and he give us a hint about the future of his Airscape project. Of course he talks about his gigs and his monthly radio show streamed on 1mix radio. He express his gratitude of being at Tomorrowland playing along with Jan at the fantastic I Love the 90's stage. Enjoy Johan Gielen who  reveals his future moves in this top interview.

Tasty information about Johan Gielen:
Johan Gielen started his rise to fame at the age of seventeen playing at a local Dutch club, which eventually landed him his first residency at Club Velfarre in Tokyo. When he decided to come back to Holland his reputation preceded him; his career skyrocketed! In no time he was rocking decks at Dance Valley, Sensation, Godskitchen and many more. Up to this day Johan Gielen remains the only artist with 15 consecutive sets at Trance Energy under his belt. Johan has made it perfectly clear that he’s not ‘just the guy who plays the records’ but an all out performer who get the crowds going.

As for the productions? Any dance-music fan can name a few of Johan’s hit records. For a while Johan teamed up with Svenson and produced monsterjams like ‘The Beauty of Silence’ and ‘Twisted’. When he was just by himself Johan created hits like the Airscape remix of ‘Delirium – Silence’ and of course no one can forget his hands-up partytrack ‘Played-A-Live’. In 2006 Johan released his debut album ‘Revelations’ mixing things up a bit. Get some trance, add a little progressive, a dash of techno and we have a winner. Mixing different styles was the way to go for Johan which he proved with tracks like ‘My Love’, the chart-topping ‘U Got To Know’ which he made as ‘The Dubguru’ and his remake of Hollis P. Monroe’s ‘I’m Lonely 2011’.

2012 Johan Gielen has started a collaboration together with Jan Vervloet, one of the best producers Belgium has to offer, with an enormous list of hits already under his belt. This collaboration has spawned an very special track, built around an old, well known, sample the double J’s created a dirty sounding big room banger.

Besides a remix by Jan Vervloet himself, also Mark Sherry steps up the remix platter and adds some Sherry madness.’Music For Free’ still is a favorite and is supported by; Eddie Halliwel, Gareth Emery, Lange, Thrillseekers, Scot Project and many more.
‘Music For Free’ was found in the Beatport top 100, Trackitdown top 3 & the Dancetunes Charts.

To this day Johan remains a busy man. He’s working on his second artist album and a new ‘Global Sessions’ mixcompilation featuring collaborations with artists he’s befriended over the years, producing tracks in a variety of genres. When he’s not doing that you’ll probably find him working on his radioshow called ‘Global Sessions’. This show is broadcast by various stations all over the world and it’s exactly this global character that defines Johan’s career.

AIRSCAPE PROJECT:

Airscape has been rocking your world with quality releases ever since 1992, when one of the finest icons in the trance landscape, Johan Gielen, cultivated a new project and conquered the dance floors with his energetic productions. Between 1992 and 1995, Airscape was nurtured by Gielen who slam dunked the scene with tracks such as Plaisir D’Ete and Cruising. Successful releases such as Pacific Melody (UK#27), L’Esperanza( UK #33), Amazon Chant ( UK #46) and Sosei - still considered as all time trance classics - were not only supported by the aristocracy of world DJ’s, but also found their way onto a pile of global compilations with sales exceeding millions of copies combined.

One of Airscape most well-known remixes is that of the Delerium song "Silence", which was used as the lead single release and in the music video of the song when it was re-issued in 2000, reaching the top 3 of the UK Singles Chart.

Many a DJ seems to think that having the ability of mixing two records will bring instant stardom. Johan Gielen doesn’t belong to that breed: Dutch DJ Johan Gielen singlehandedly put the A in the “Art of DJ-ing”, showing his worldwide audience that being a DJ is not only about seamlessly mixing one track into another, but that the Art of DJ-ing had to incorporate a certain amount of genuine showmanship. His presence on stage, his interaction with the crowd, his undying love for quality music and his mixing abilities, combined with a tremendous drive, makes Johan Gielen one of the true pioneers of trance music going back as far as the early nineties.

In no time, Johan Gielen claims a two year residency at Tokyo’s finest venue Velfarre, played the biggest venues of the world and appeared in every line-up of ruling festivals and clubs like Dance Valley, Sensation White, Sunrise Festival, The Guvernment, Space, Godskitchen and many more. Up to this day, Johan Gielen remains the only artist who performed fifteen times in succession on the prestigious Trance Energy event.

Since 2005, the Airscape project took a firm break but as of 2009, it was Johan Gielen personally who resurrected Airscape and injected it with a fresh focus complimented with the brand new Airscape release My Love featuring US vocalist JES, released late 2009 through Black Hole Recordings.

This single is followed by the highly anticipated release of Airscape’s album Now & Then. With the addition of established vocalists such as JES and Jennifer Hershman and fresh crispy clear productions, you have an undiluted album in your hands, fusing both Airscape as they invaded the ninetees with Airscape 2.0: the old to the new, extended with Airscape classics in revamped mixes by nonetheless than Tiësto, Armin van Buuren and Alex O’Rion. 2012- Johan Gielen will continue his Airscape project , starting with a new track that will be released july 2nd on Liquid-Spinnin records!

As the list continued, creating such hits brought on major appeal by huge names like Moby, Ferry Corsten, Armin van Buuren, Gareth Emery and so much more - which of whom M.I.K.E produced impressive collaborations and remixes for.

At the artist area of Tomorrowland in the first day 27-7-2012 we had a great friendly and very informative interview with Super 8 & Tab who performed at the Above and Beyond Group Therapy Stage at this absolutely mindblowing festivals that should be voted for 2nd year as the BEST GLOBAL EVENT. Last year we had an interview with just Dj Tab and now we are glad we met both of them. Within this nearly 14 minutes interview you can check out their answers about how they start the Super 8 & Tab project. How they met up for first time with Above & Beyond in Finland. Also they give us clues about their forthcoming single at Anjunabeats and they reveal how their remix sounds on the forthcoming Tritonal remixed album. What is more they talk about their new club night in their hometown Helsinki in Finland called Empire. Of course they tell us their experience of Tomorrowland festival last year when Dj Tab performed on his own  and how much he enjoy it and they hope to have great time this year as well. We were at the Group Therapy stage when they performed there and I can assure you that the guys rocked it with their brilliant original melodies and hard dancing beats as well.

Tasty info about Super 8 & Tab:

Finnish duo Super8 & Tab set the trance world ablaze with classic anthems 'Helsinki Scorchin' and 'First Aid' and continue to today, with their latest chart-topping track 'Awakenings' and their highly acclaimed debut album "Empire," which prompted Mixmag to write "It's a rare and wonderful thing to be blown away by an album on first listen."

An integral part of the Anjunabeats family, Super8 & Tab released "Empire: Remixed" in 2011, combining deep, brooding vocal anthems, classy downtempo excursions and futuristic trance fusions. They recently compiled 12 classic releases for the retrospective "Anjunabeats pres. Super8 & Tab" compilation, which features much loved tracks like 'Good Times' feat. Betsie Larkin, 'Black Is The New Yellow' feat. Anton Sonin, the club mix of 'My Enemy' feat. Julie Thompson and their remix of Tranquility Base's 'Oceanic.'
