This track seamlessly blends the iconic hook with his unmistakable signature sound, showcasing why he remains a pivotal figure in the U.K. dance music scene. From a technical standpoint, the track is a 132 BPM MainStage tech house stormer, meticulously crafted to energize large crowds. The production process highlights precision layering, starting with the foundation of heavy drums and punchy kicks that create a driving rhythmic pulse. Los Angeles-based, French-born house don Dombresky connects with Swedish producer and songwriter Discrete for a summer-ready single on Insomniac Records. “Bless Me” blends their shared love for soulful house music to create an irresistible dancefloor anthem.

The highly-anticipated single made its debut at EDC Las Vegas during Dombresky's set at kineticFIELD (mainstage). Addictive and uplifting, “Bless Me” is a divine delight that will have listeners drifting amongst the clouds. The feel-good choir vocals are captivating and catchy, creating an instant familiarity that invites you to singalong. Circular piano chords are elevated by shuffling drum arrangements, staccato synths, and swelling strings, summing up to a heavenly sound. A jazzy piano solo in the break strips the track back while adding to the sun-kissed aesthetic. “Bless Me” is a love letter to soulful house classics that remains delightfully fresh. The release is sonic serotonin assured to move you in more ways than one.
Discrete reflects on the massive collaboration, saying, “Working with Dombresky on this record was inspiring. We both share a love for soulful house music, and to see it come to life through our joint efforts has been truly satisfying. I’m thrilled to see it make its debut on Insomniac Records.”
Cutting his teeth in his homeland for nearly 20 years, the French phenom, otherwise known as Quentin Dombres, launched his Dombresky alias in 2015. He’s since become a regular fixture on the Insomniac Records catalog, after massive singles such as “Simple Hit,” “Futurmastic,” and his most recent R&B-infused “In My Room,” featuring venerated singer-songwriter SHELLS. Renowned for his powerful and fun-filled house cuts, the producer has upcoming performances at Day Trip LA, ARC Music Festival, Elrow (NYC) and more.

Swedish producer and songwriter Discrete has carved out his own lane by blurring genres with a deep appreciation for soulful sounds. He recently surpassed 200 million total streams on Spotify, and was nominated for the P3 Guld Awards (Swedish National Radio). He’s hot off an appearance with Dombresky on Insomniac Records’ stereoBLOOM stage at EDC Las Vegas this past May. His music has been featured in over 200+ radio shows including support from Martin Garrix, the Chainsmokers, Fedde Le Grand, R3HAB, Nora En Pure, EDX, Mike Williams, Nicky Romero, and more.

Gleaning from the gospel house generation, “Bless Me” takes its title to heart and finds Dombresky and Discrete teaming up on a blissed-out groove guaranteed to spread joy and gratitude on any dancefloor it touches.

Dombresky’s new single “Bless Me” (with Discrete) is available on all platforms via Insomniac Records.

James Hype makes his long-awaited return to the Insomniac Records imprint with his sophomore single ‘Lose Control’, a future festival and club staple in the making.

Building upon his ability to bring unforgettable vocals to the fore, ‘Lose Control’ finds James dusting off a classic R&B vocal from the ‘90s. Pitched-up while still retaining its soul-stirring quality, the iconic hook loops atop sharp claps, tension-building pads, and sporadic synth squelches. The full impact of the main refrain sets in as classic rave stabs and a jackin’ groove push the peak-time number over the edge.

Marking the 30th anniversary of Insomniac in style, ‘Lose Control’ is Hype’s follow-up to last year’s smash hit ‘Ferrari’, which peaked at #6 in the Official Charts and has over 400 millions Spotify streams.

As one of London’s most influential house exports, platinum-selling producer James Hype has been relentlessly engineering global hits that live up to the meaning of his namesake. In 2021, he partnered up with international phenom Vintage Culture on their massive collab ‘You Give Me A Feeling’, which enjoyed a torrent of tastemaker support from crews at BBC R1, Capital Dance, Kiss FM, Sirius XM and iHeart Radio. James Hype’s follow-up offering has all the right ingredients to make crowds succumb to the power of its title, arriving just in time ahead of his hotly tipped set at EDC Las Vegas next month.

One of the UK’s most successful artists, James Hype propelled onto the scene with platinum-selling, UK Top 10 debut single ‘More Than Friends’, racking up hundreds of millions of streams and later remixing tracks from chart toppers Joel Corry, Clean Bandit, Mabel and many more global talents such as Meduza and Bruno Mars.

‘Lose Control’ is destined to be another jewel in James Hype’s crown as the platinum-selling producer gears up for a summer of club mayhem, starting with his set at EDC Las Vegas next month.

Two Dutch electronic music powerhouses join forces in the form of Nicky Romero and Afrojack's new track "Back To Where We Started." The release seamlessly fuses both Romero's and Afrojack's styles, making for a banger of a track with elements of big room and progressive house. "Back To Where We Started" opens with energetic beats reminiscent of EDM's heyday in the aughts, and it becomes clear that veteran fans and new ones alike will be served a dose of nostalgia. It climbs into a breakdown that builds up heavy anticipation before a hard-hitting drop that's simply meant for the festival or club scene. This is the very first time that Nicky Romero and Afrojack have collaborated after a long history of remixing each other's works, such as Romero's remixes of Afrojack's "One More Day" and "Hero," and Afrojack's interpretations of Nicky's "Okay" and "Rise." This time, "Back To Where We Started" was created for the opening of their "Two Is One" b2b set during ADE's Amsterdam Music Festival, and both have played the record in several sets already around the world. We're hoping that this will be one of many collaborations between these two.

3 of the initial members of Awesome 3 (Nick Hussey, Pete Orme and the original vocalist Julie McDermott) have joined forces once again - adding Gerd Janson's subtle magic - the original has seen countless versions and remixes since the 90’s, but Gerd's 2018 re-work increases its firepower, adds beat stomping bass lines to compliment Julie McDermott's soulful vocals creating an essential radio and dance-floor weapon.

On the B side yet another hugely respected producer under new alias Smokin Jack Hill steps on remix duties which has also seen countless Kiss FM and BBC Radio 1 Dance anthems spins over the past few weeks. This is shaping up to be a huge release!!

[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]The legendary house imprint CR2 Records releases the brand new remixes of the awesome classic Don't Go with the most feel good piano chords, superb rave style synths and rave breaks sound. Gerd Janson Re-Work has energy and succeeds on reuniting the 90's with the 2018 without sounding overworked or super digitalised. It sounds classy and groovy with slow breaks style beat, heavy basslines and superb piano riff to make you smile from the outset. Julie's vocal shines with class and you know that is impossible to leave the dancefloor when this tune played. Smokin Jack Hill Remix goes the more current mainstream uplifting house direction with future bass house infusions and superb application of the super well known piano melody and vocals while in the breakdown reveals the classic rave style sounds upon breaks.
