First time visitor or regular delegate? Here's everything you need to know about ADE.

About ADE
ADE consists of a conference (day) and festival (day & night) program. Which basically means that the city of Amsterdam is all about electronic music for five day and nights, with events in around 160 locations.

Program: artists and speakers
In 2017, ADE featured over 2,500 artists and 550 speakers. The line-ups for the single festival events will be announced in the coming months and the complete day and night program will be finalized in September.

It's impossible to visit all clubs and venues, so check back on the ADE site regularly for program updates, start planning early and secure your tickets in time, as single festival events will be sold out way before October. In the meantime you can sign up here to get personalized ticket updates and to create and save your personal program.

Of course, ADE is about having fun. But it also means business. Which is why over 9,000 professional delegates from over 90 countries visit ADE to network and exchange ideas. Most of them are working in the field of electronic music, but ADE also attracts numerous delegates from outside the scene. Whether you're looking for examples of great branding, innovative technology or just the latest musical trends, we've got you covered with our multiple conference tracks.

Access to events
ADE offers multiple tickets. The ADE Pass (5 Day & Night) gives you access to the complete ADE program. The ADE Conference Pass (4 Day) gives you access to the complete day program. An ADE Pass or an ADE Conference Pass also gives you access to our online database. Single festival tickets will be available here.

Day program: gear demonstrations, Studio XL sessions, films, expositions & much more.
ADE features lots of daytime events for (electronic) music enthusiasts. If you're planning on visiting one or more parties, why not stay a little bit longer? Chances are great that one of your favorite artists is doing a MusicTalk or a Studio XL Session. Gear freak or aspiring musician? You can try out the latest equipment for free at the Festival Hangout or attend one of the many workshops in the ADE week.

Travel
Don't wait too long to sort out travel. Most hotels will be fully booked way before October. If you need guidance, try ADE hotel packages or KLM widget, or have a look at ADE package deals.

During ADE there will be a range of activities focused on South Korea. Director Richard Zijlma states: “The South Korean electronic music scene is growing rapidly, thanks to technological innovation and smart crossovers. During ADE we will focus on the very best the country has to offer across a wide range of festival and conference events.”

The Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE), an initiative of Buma, is the world’s largest club-based festival and conference for electronic music. The organisers are committed to growing the day and nighttime activities once again in 2018 through established partnerships with cultural institutions, and by adding new pavilions focused on countries. “The addition of pavilions creates extra possibilities to meet and network for music industry professionals but also provides a means to show the innovative power of individual territories in front of an international audience,” states Zijlma.

The ADE Pass (access to the complete day 5 day & night program) and the ADE Conference Pass (access to the complete 4 day program) are on sale against Early Bird Rate now and available here. Single tickets for both festival and conference events will go on the ADE site from June 1st onwards.

Demolition Panel is always eagerly awaited moment at the end of Amsterdam Dance Event daily conference programme and this year it was once again an extremely satisfying  panel composed by well known artists who have delivered excellent opinion and well-founded criticism to help the artists who came forward to submit their demos with the hope to win the superb prizes and get the exposure and pride to be the winners of the all important Demolition Panel. The previous years the panel was scheduled at the end of the ADE Next which was targeted mainly to young upcoming electronic artists. This year ADE Next was part of the ADE Soundlab and ADE Hangout and the Demolition Panel XXI was again on Saturday evening at the superb De Brakke Grond location in central Amsterdam.

Firstly the winners of the last year's panel Ilektrik had the opportunity to talk about their experience and how their career has progressed as result of winning the Demolition Panel prizes.

The Demolition Panel XXI was chaired by Dave Clarke and members of the jury were Mike Mango, Octave One and GoldFish, Louisahhh, and the helping hands of Niels Brands.

After fierce competition with very strong and equally powerful demos, the winner artist was Dean Zlato from Australia with his unsigned track 'Happening. As we did last year, this time again we requested an interview with Dean  and he kindly accepted to talk to us about how he started his career, how and when he produced the winning track, his future plans and of course his opinion about ADE that he attends for 2nd time and he recommends to any artists to visit and become part of the global electronic music family.

At the final panel of the Amsterdam Dance Event on Saturday night during ADE Soundlab, the legendary Demolition Panel XXI hosted by the techno legend Dave Clarke, we had the pleasure to enjoy GoldFish incredible input as members of the experts jury who have offered their well founded opinion and criticism on variety of demos submitted by young and emerging artists who aspire to get their recognition at ADE which is considered to be the primer platform for the global electronic music community including industry and fans. At the end of the panel I requested to have an interview with them and I'm very glad to be able to present you an interview conducted at ADE with GoldFish.

GoldFish, an electronic duo from the Southern-most tip of Africa, have gone from one of Dance Music’s best kept secrets to leading exponents of the Live Electronic Music scene. Their pioneering mix of saxophones, flute, double bass, keyboards and pounding House beats has touched a nerve with audiences across the world, coining the moniker ‘Re-Inventing the DJ.’ Once you experience a GoldFish live performance, you immediately know you are witnessing something special.

Between their grueling touring schedule, recording and surfing in all four corners of the globe, Dom and Dave have been quietly and steadily building a reputation for incendiary lives shows and hyper-catchy releases that are poised to spill them over into the mainstream consciousness. Their most recent release "Deep of the Night" just cracked 1 million streams and counting on Spotify. Other highlights including countless sold out performances and festival appearances everywhere, a top 10 on the US iTunes Dance chart, multiple SAMA’s, an MTV Africa award, a four-year residency at Pacha Ibiza, and a list of DJ’s including Robin Shulz, Klingande, Thomas Jack and Sam Feldt dropping their tracks as staples in their sets. Their unique and often controversial animated music videos have garnered tens of millions of views online, with a cult following eagerly awaiting the next installment. It’s almost hard to believe that not so long ago they were just Dom and Dave, two music students who led a relatively chilled life surfing and playing music in their original home of Cape Town. All that really did change when they decided to record an album.

Not having a record deal or many resources, they simply locked themselves in a bedroom...with a double bass, a saxophone and a couple of synths, recording their debut 'Caught In The Loop' on their own. A timeless dance/chill out record that received massive support from the international dance music scene, searching for something fresh and new. Pete Tong even called it his Ibiza Poolside Album of the Summer. A residency at Pacha Ibiza followed, and the Fishies honed their sound at one of the worlds’ most iconic superclubs before releasing 'Perceptions Of Pacha,' garnering a record-breaking 8 South African Music Award nominations and platinum sales in their home country. They followed this up with another SAMA award winning album 'Get Busy Living' (2010), and MTV Africa award winning 'Three Second Memory' (2013).

To get closer to the hotbed of dance music in America, the duo are now based in San Diego, focussing on their forthcoming new album 'Tipping The Scales' (2017), a jam-packed touring schedule - and definitely exploring the surf around California during the process. Already, they’ve begun conquering the stateside festival landscape. With a whirlwind of upcoming tour dates ahead, along with a new album deal inked with Armada Music, it’s clear that all eyes in the world’s fishbowl will continue to be locked on GoldFish for the foreseeable future.

In this interview they talk about the process of recording their album Late Night People which is is recently released on Armada Music, their live gig at ADE and of course their very positive opinion about Amsterdam Dance Event and how important has been for their career. It's their 9th time at ADE and definitely its not going to be their last one. Enjoy their answers right here, right now.

Remember the time when GoldFish weren’t churning out soul-inspiring records? Neither can we. No matter where or when it’s played, their music radiates a sense of coming home, of discovering a piece of the world that has yet remained unclaimed and untainted. That’s exactly what the South African duo’s next album builds on.

In ‘Late Night People’, the signature vibes of GoldFish have evolved and adapted to mesmerize an even wider range of dance music lovers. Between its funky and sexy title track, the upbeat ‘If I Could Find’ and the ever-vibrant ‘Rising Sun’ (with Pontifexx and Gustavo Bertoni), the album harbors twelve records that are as diverse as they are alike, coexisting peacefully.

As proven by their previous four albums , you can leave it to GoldFish to deliver a body of work that’s both kaleidoscopic and unified. But most of all, this album is here for whomever brilliantly crafted music is indispensable. It is here for the ‘Late Night People’.

It's definitely one of the coolest moments for any journalist to have the opportunity to conduct three great interview in one. For the next nearly 30 minutes of your life you will see Gai Barone, Basil O'Glue and Adromedha discussing the state of the dark moody progressive sound that all three are producing at the moment. The interview was recorded during the Pure Trance event at ADE 17 and all of them express their gratitude about ADE and how important is for any electronic music artist to attend without even thinking. Gai talks about his set on this particular night and his future releases including mix compilation for Bonzai Progressive. Next Basil O'Glue presents his first album  Depth Of Field and talks about his own label Saturate Audio and his DJ set at Luminosity ADE special event on Panama. Thirdly the Polish DJ & Producer Adromedha recalls his first productions and reveals his forthcoming ones. Most importantly the three amigos discuss and make fun to each other turning this interview into a very entertaining and informative piece that you must watch! It's definitely for me one of the finest interviews ever without any editing so you can check everything that has been said and done in its entirety.
