Night program sorted? Get the ADE Card to explore the ADE by Day program filled with unmissable places and hidden gems.

In addition to the numerous festival nighttime events and the extensive conference and partner program, there is also a lot going on during the daytime. Whether you're into art, film, gear and instruments, last-minute pop-up events or looking to get in touch with your favorite artists, the ADE Card* is your ticket to all of this. Not convinced yet? Here's a nice first shortlist:

Art & Film program
On ADE Wednesday kicks off an exhibition of sound, light, and space of Ryoji Ikeda in EYE Presents, followed by the exhibition series of To the Beat of My Own Drum and Life inside a pixel by Dadara. 

Thursday will feature Body In Revolt at Mediamatic and the start of an audiovisual installation of Charlotte Krieger and LYZZA at Foam x ADE. LAB111 will be part of the art program with Extravagance in Uniform. The ADE Card offers free entry or a discount on the admission price during this year’s ADE Art Route.

LAB111 also provides numerous documentaries and films in the ADE Film program. On Wednesday, they will be showing Suzanne Ciani: A Life In Waves. Moreover, the ADE exclusive premiere of Era Of Dance: The Story Of Soviet Techno Revolution will be playing on Friday.

Following up on last year's premiere of Avicii: True Stories, is the Dutch premiere of M.I.A.'s documentary MATANGI / MAYA / M.I.A. at de Melkweg Cinema on ADE Saturday. ADE Card Holders will get free entry, but there's limited capacity (first come, first serve).

Free entrance to the ADE Festival Hangout
The ADE Festival Hangout is located at De Brakke Grond and will once again be the home of ADE Sound Lab and ADE BeamLab during ADE. The Festival Hangout (De Brakke Grond) is open from ADE's Wednesday till Saturday and is located at the very heart of Amsterdam just 10 minutes away from Amsterdam Central Station.

ADE Sound Lab is the central hub for artists, producers and DJs to meet and enjoy showcases, masterclasses numerous interactive events and will run from October 17th - October 20th. The program starts at noon.

ADE BeamLab is an evening dedicated to visual technology and stage design. Throughout the day, you can also see a demo-talk by the founders of EboSuite, a live performance of the Weltmaschine by Van Abbe and more.

Part of ADE Sound Lab is the MusicTalks series of panels where artists share their experience, wisdom, humour and creativity talking about their musical career. This year will include the likes of Bonobo, Don Diablo and Orbital. 

At ADE Sound Lab's Studio XL sessions we invite music producers from various different backgrounds to host a masterclass session for aspiring producers. Camo & Krooked, Colin Benders, KSHMR and Lucas & Steve will be featured this year.

A whole load of gear will be present at the ADE Festival Hangout. You have the chance to get your hands on the latest products of Ableton, Amptec, Elektron, Novation and more.

During Demolition XXIII, DJs, producers and music industry figures will give you honest feedback and tips on your work. Furthermore, you can find demo drops at God Save The Groove and the Revealed Pop-Up Store.

Discounts
ADE Card Holders will also receive a discount on selected ADE Merchandise. The ADE Merchandise will also be sold at the ADE Hangover on Sunday.

The Revealed Day Conference grants a 1-month pro user account at their site and a 10% discount on merchandise.

Pop-up Events
Coming to ADE are the in-store events of InDeep'n'Dance where you can hang out and listen to their selection of DJs. In addition, they offer free goodies and 25% discount on t-shirts, merchandise and 10% discount on records.

Last year, Mary Go Wild held a set of basement raves during the daytime. Coming for the sixth consecutive year is Kompakt meets Oz., where you can shop for records while enjoying music and drinks (make sure you are on time).

As part of ADE’s Playground program, Native Instruments will be hosting a series of free panels, masterclasses and workshops in De Brakke Grond.

After recent announcements about ADE Green and the Gear program we continue with another addition to the gear program, as Native Instruments will be back again at ADE Playground.

During Native Sessions, influential figures and product experts will discuss the role of technology in today’s contemporary scene, while showing users how to get the most of their performance and production based gear.

Across the three days, Native Instruments have invited Todd Terry, Mala, Soulection, Louisahhh, Joe Goddard (Hot Chip) and more to participate in a series of in-depth conversations and workshops. Product experts will also be showing how to get the best of the company’s latest product, MASCHINE JAM.

In addition, what has now become an annual tradition; Native Instruments’ Traktor Cookery will once again open its kitchen to some of the music scene’s best chefs. Over the three days, Nicole Moudaber & Skin, Francesca Lombardo, Hito, Kidnap Kid and the crews behind Boiler Room and Resident Advisor will be working away to serve up a selection of brunches and dinners.

After recent announcements about ADE Next and the Shelter, it is now time to focus on ADE Playground's pop-up route. Stores, hotels and bars will embrace dance music culture for five days, offering exclusive offers alongside artists and more so that you won’t feel too far away from the action.

Kompakt Records Pop-Up Store 
So ingrained into the festival’s schedule they have become, there is no ADE without Kompakt’s renowned pop-up events,. With daily DJ performances from 6 PM onwards, special catalogue and the opportunity to meet up with the label’s figureheads, this is a must for any dance music fan. Located at the Oz. studio in the city’s Red Light District, keep your eye on the schedule to see when the label’s acclaimed DJs will be performing in this intimate location.

Lee Store: Move Your Lee During ADE 
Located just within a few blocks of most Festival and Playground activities the city’s flagship store will be offering a free, Lee® Amsterdam Tee to everyone who makes a denim purchase during the special promo event on Friday evening. During the in-store event, drinks will be served while assorted DJs will provide the soundtrack. ADE Card holders will also get 20% off all in-store purchases.

Andaz Hotel’s Morning Rave & Shine 
Joining the ADE set-up for the first time this year, the 5-star boutique hotel will be throwing a morning rave, featuring a hearty selection of nourishing snacks and drinks, to help add some spring into your routine. During the week, the hotel will also have a pop-up DJ booth in the Bluespoon Bar, giving new DJs the opportunity to perform at this year’s conference.

Mary Go Wild, ADE Basement Raves 
Once the industry secret of the festival, the Mary Go Wild in-store raves have now become a thing of legend. The official partner store of ADE, Mary Go Wild is the place to buy official merchandise, alongside a finely curated assortment of music –related books. During the conference, the store’s cellar is converted into an intimate venue, where in the past the likes of Joris Voorn, Steve Rachmad, DJ Pierre and so many more have played to but a hand-full of people. DJs aren’t announced till an hour before the performance, and expect queues to get in.

MyAmsterdam
MYAmsterdam Kicks Off At Station Centraal
ADE is bringing some of its biggest artist names to Amsterdam's main point of arrival, the forecourt outside Central Station. MYAmsterdam features top DJs in an extension of MusicTalks which will be held in the IAMsterdam store in front of Central Station.

Pioneer DJ will once again be an integral part of the ADE Sound Lab program.

After recent announcements about ADE Next and the Urbanears Hideout, it is now time to focus on the ADE Sound Lab program at The Brakke Grond.

Throughout ADE, Pioneer DJ will be recording special episodes of their DJsounds show with live sets by international acts including Nicky Romero and Chuckie. KiNK, will demonstrate how the TORAIZ SP-16 live sampler opens new creative avenues when combined with the NXS2 set-up, while Eskei83 will put the DJM-S9 battle mixer and PLX-1000 turntables through their paces. As with all the official ADE venues, the sound will be provided through a Pioneer Pro Audio system.

With an exhibition room once again situated in De Brakke Grond, Pioneer DJ will be displaying, showcasing and presenting the latest in performance gear and technology. Amongst the latest products on display in the showroom – the latest samplers and CDJ systems – the expert Pioneer DJ team will be on call to provide expert advice. 

There will also be rekordbox DJ workshops to instruct users as how to get the most out of our DJ performance software, along with other performances and appearances at our base over the course of ADE, so keep an eye on the program for more info. On Thursday 20th there will also be a panel discussion in the Compagnietheater at 1.30 PM, where Pioneer DJ’s Japanese product planning team will be joined by KiNK and synth legend Dave Smith to talk about the development of the TORAIZ SP-16 live sampler.
