For many, June’s release of Craig Connelly and HALIENE’s ‘Other Side Of The World’ delivered one of the most memorable (and downright singable!) floor-anthems of the summer. Was there any reason, the pair wondered, that the track couldn’t pull off the same feat in winter!?

Time to find out …

From his ‘Skygarden’ debut, Daxson’s gone on to become a mainstay of festival & arena events; served one floor-fuelling release after another, and in 2022 delivered his critically applauded first album. Oh, and he’s proved himself a highly capable set of remix hands too - something not lost on Craig Connelly. Craig originally tapped Daxson for a remix of his ‘Anything Like You’ a few years back. With that in mind, when it came to winter-warming ‘Other Side Of The World’, there was no other name on his list … 

The Coldharbourite’s treatment takes the stylistic ground already covered by the original wholly into account. While Craig & HALIENE’s version had the melodic, harmonic and uplifting ends on lock, Daxson delivers something later-night-lethal. The Trance genre is important for HALIENE and she can only describe this genre as the purest form of emotional dance music. Because of this, she wanted to invite legendary trance artist The Thrillseekers to create a pure & classic version of 'Hollow'.

I’m a massive fan of HALIENE, so I jumped at the chance to take on this remix. What an incredible voice! The ideas came together very quickly in the studio and led to a few all-nighters in the studio - something which doesn’t happen too often these days! Very happy with how this worked out and excited to get this out there. - The Thrillseekers

After a hot run of 2022 releases on his own Higher Forces imprint, Craig Connelly’s been spreading the label love farther afield this year. Respectively, Kearnage and Subculture received ‘Spicy Broth’ and ‘Excelsior’, while - in its formidable Giuseppe Ottaviani remix form, Black Hole the label brought back ‘Black Hole’ the track.

With summer’s starting pistol now well and truly fired, Black Hole Recs return with more Connelly finery, as Craig and HALIENE give us the ‘Other Side Of The World’.


The duo’s already studio-connected to some degree, when Craig remixed HALIENE’s ‘Glass Heart’ from the artist’s hit album ‘Heavenly’. From there, the artists searched for something that would bring them closer together still... and somewhat ironically that took them to the ‘Other Side Of The World’.

Dealing with our biggest shared experience of modern times, the track might be the most relatable thing you hear this year. HALIENE channels the moments when everything beyond our doorstep felt like the other side of the world, into the longing sentiments of her song.

Craig balances the separational ache of HALIENE’s words with a production-spirit that keeps on elevating till there’s no more elevating to be done! A beacon for reconnection, Craig & HALIENE’s debut track together arrives today.

Flanked by the singles ‘Butterfly x Metamorphosis’ and ‘Reach Across The Sky’, to universal fan delight, August saw HALIENE release her captivating debut album, ‘HEAVENLY’. 

This week, there’s a DVRKCLOUD on ‘Reach Across The Sky’s horizon … and it’s something the US songstress couldn’t be happier about … Under the alias, Richard Reghelini’s been making all the right types of noise for all the right types of DJs of late. Last year the producer from Chennai, India united with Far Out for the pair’s dubstep banger ‘Elevate’. That was followed by a second team-up on ‘Diamond Heart’ in 2022, which added folk duo RBBTS to its ensemble.

The next single from HALIENE’s highly acclaimed debut album ‘HEAVENLY’ began its life as two separate tracks. It was no coincidence though that the unplugged natures of ‘Butterfly’ and floorward thinking, Markus Schulz co-produced ‘Metamorphosis’ neighbored each other on ‘HEAVENLY’.

HALIENE & Markus have a collaborative history dating back over the years. From her rendition of the classic ‘Ave Maria’, Markus’s 2019 tribute to his late mother, to Schulz’s remix of her original single ‘Walk Through Walls’, and further collaborations including ‘Tidal Wave’, this pair has an understanding of each other’s artistry that knows few, if any, bounds. Now tracks 10 and 11 from the mighty ‘HEAVENLY’ become one with ‘Butterfly x Metamorphosis’.

‘Talking about this uniquely innovative release, HALIENE said “I have a lifelong obsession with butterflies. To me, they speak of transformation; where once we crawled on the ground, one day we will fly above in brilliant color. On the HEAVENLY album I deal with pain and loss quite a lot and this song is the reminder that everything is temporary. For those we’ve lost, while you may have had to say goodbye for now, one day you will fly alongside them.
