[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]Superb old school vibes on Nobody by Smokin Jack Hill. Truly powerful festivals and clubs ready version that simply rock with the cool 90's rave influences combined with cool singalong male vocals, fat future house basslines, bit of acid overtones and cool vocal effects. The original is definitely a tribute to all those 90's classics that have put a stamp on us like Inner City for instance. The remix package is truly good with Ben Dooks going for a full on future/bass house version with plenty of squeezed sounds and dark atmospheres. Slim Tim versions are the more upfront, positive and optimistic with big synths, piano chords and feel good atmosphere. BK298 deliver the old skool speed garage version with raw basslines, thumping metallic grooves and spanky dark synths. Jack Junior goes the more minimal speed garage style with less is beautiful sound with bouncy basslines and feel good happy piano chords. Overall its a package that will satisfy many. #PureIbizaAnthem Love IT [/content]

[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]The stunning uplifting euphoric vocal trancer by Quake & Rob Tissera entitled The Day Will Come returns full on hard uplifting trance style by the man of the moment Nicholson who delivered already an ace remix for the stunning Dreams by Quench. For this remix he follows his usual arrangement of hard hitting rough basslines, stomping ferocious drums, thick kicks and of course huge epic synths and anthemic emotional strings to contemplate and support the emotional attachment with the always brilliant and optimistic female vocal that shines with quality and diva style performance. The breakdown will built anticipation and the climax will bring the earthquake to please and satisfy any highly energized trancer older and younger alike. #PureGold Love iT[/content]

[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]The beloved song Just be Good To Me returns to 2016 in a superb UK garage style deep house version by Ku De Ta. The vocals supplied by the awesome singer Nikki Amber who manages to add her own personality and make this track simply magical. Very danceable with  fantastic sexy rhythm you will find irresistible not to start shaking your thing along with it. Rare Candy Remix takes the track in a deeper darker more atmospheric territory with beautiful strings, electronic melodies, distorted vocal snippets and great late night car cruising scenery. Lastly FOOR remix is the top notch trap or 2 step version that you will enjoy with some very nice retro sounds and even touches of the dub reggae sound systems, Cool synthy hooks, saxophone and clever application of the vocal will carry you away for an enjoyable ride. What is missing is a tropical house remix to add some sunshine too.  #PureGold Love It[/content]

01: Paul van Dyk and Genix – For You

In the breakthrough stakes there’s been few bigger than Genix in the last six months. Recently named as one of DJ Mag’s half-dozen key players in trance music’s future, Paul’s ‘For You’ co-producer is as young-gun hot as young-gun hot gets!

Having recorded for Van Dyk’s VANDIT imprint several times in 2014, he now collaborates with the man himself on the next of ‘The Politics Of Dancing 3’s Instant Grat Tracks.

Together on ‘For You’, Paul & Genix at once embrace the best elements of genre, while at the same time subtly subverting them through judicious electro and techy subtexts.

‘For You’ is available as a ‘POD3’ IGT from today. You can pre-order ‘The Politics Of Dancing 3’
right here

Dimitri Kechagias review: Paul van Dyk presents another instant gratification track from his forthcoming Politics of Dancing vol. 3 released via Ultra (Sony) and New State in UK. The track that we enjoy to the maximum of volume is the fantastic For You in collaboration with the magician Genix. We deal here with super strong progressive trancer with chunky bubbly groove, punchy electro infused basslines, chopped vocal samples, and hints of the euphoric synthy riffs. The breakdown is truly luscious with chill out ambience decorated with emotional piano chords and wide variety of emotional synthy plucks along with beautiful female voices. The build up towards the climax is intense and finally the massive drop comes in packed with euphoric hands in the air synths and magnificently positive and sincere piano chords. The result is an exceptional progressive trancer that has depth, substance and magical atmosphere that you deserve to experience and let yourself go! #PureGold Love It

Lest you hadn’t caught the thread, Collaborations, with a capital C are the name of the ‘POD3’ game. Following a string of album-initiating, floor-commanding singles, March sees ‘Politics 3’ flip its fourth co-op card. Having already teamed up with Ummet Ozcan, Aly & Fila and others, ‘Louder’ finds Paul van Dyk sharing studio time with that most Balearically minded of men, Roger Shah.

Adding to ‘Louder’s already exotic equation is Australian-born/Singapore-raised/Manhattan-based singer Daphne Khoo. Collectively the three have come up with something that’s as irrepressibly catchy and spirit-filled, as it is floor intoxicating.

Available through NewState, March 16th 2015
A PvD/Roger Shah studio team-up has been a long discussed waiting-to-happen for the pair. Only through the genesis of ‘The Politics of Dancing 3’ though has that collaboration finally reached fruition.

A departure from the trancier ethics of recent singles ‘Guardian’ & ‘Only In A Dream’, the Club Mix delivers something designed to light the upcoming festival season up brighter-than-bright. Daphne Khoo, a first season finalist on Singapore Idol and no stranger to the stage, is the songstress that brings ‘Louder’ its head-rush ebullience.

Adding some trance shades & grades to ‘Louder’s release, the first two remixes come courtesy of PvD’s VANDIT Records lieutenants Maarten de Jong & Ben Nicky. Netherlander de Jong hikes the furnace levels up to ‘big ‘n’ blistering’, distilling marching drums, tech-fried FX and rave-ish riffs into his mix. A keen balance of the harmonic and the euphoric, Ben Nicky ups ‘Louder’s uplift ante no end, giving it loads of warp, squelch and pitch wheel fury for good measure.

Avalanching the atmosphere still further, Hungarians Myon & Shane 54 draw the worlds of house & trance creatively together with an M1 piano-led ride. Maximising the emotion of Daphne’s vocal, their Summer of Love Remix is less of the feel-good and more of the feel-great!

Collectively, a release so large, it should technically require some sort of planning permission, ‘POD3’ gets ‘Louder’ on March 2nd!

Dimitri Kechagias review: The unstoppable Paul van Dyk is about to release his brand new Politics of Dancing vol. 3 compilation and everybody is anxious to find out the tracks that will be included in it. One of the exclusives is the brand new Paul collaboration with balearic master Roger Shah. The result is a magnificent modern progressive house smasher with thumping grooves, pumping basslines and euphoric synthy hooks that of course have the Paul van dyk signature by far. The vocal is the coolest that you can think and Daphne is a promising singer with  a lot of talent to offer to the world. If you search for the next Miami anthem you just found it. The remix package is simply on the spot. First of all the beloved Myon & Shane 54 Summer Of Love Mix is an exceptional progressive trance meets house version with the words peak time written all over it. Heavy drums, pulsating basslines and superb breakdown that allows the vocal to expand and breathe in full effect for the listener who will no resist to sing along with hands in the air. The drop is hands in the air euphoric with anthemic high nrg trancy synthy stabs on the style that the two beloved Hungarians know so well to produce.  For the non vocal loves the package includes the dub mixes as well. Next is Maarten De Jong who delivers the tough driving tech trance version with pounding metallic basslines, tribal punchy drums, acid overtones and excellent breakdown packed with euphoric synths. The climax goes on the more hands in the air prog trance direction with great colourful synths that uplift your senses to the heaven above.  Last but not least Ben Nicky Remix moves on the euphoric uplifting hands in the air version with straight forward energetic driving basslines, pounding drums and superb synths. The vocal seems to work well within uplifting trance context and particularly his remix is so beautifully made. Long and teasing packed with synths that raise the hair from your back along with balearic guitars and piano chords. The climax is tech trance focused with heavy basslines, raw drums  and vocal chops. Louder is superb hit with top remixes. #PureGold Love It

If your ‘Politics Of Dancing 3’ anticipation levels aren’t high enough already, well this will surely put them there…

In a first time production link-up, Paul van Dyk has collaborated with those trance pharaohs Aly & Fila - reteaming in the process with vocal doyen and regular muse Sue McLaren for the magnificent, astounding ‘Guardian’.

On ‘Guardian’, Sue McLaren’s sweetly sung vocals contrast with the bittersweet nature of her meditative lyrics. At its production core Paul, Aly and Fila fuse the track with a harmonic sound storm of pads, chords and synths. Cumulatively, the track’s pacific undertones and vocal enrichment amass to take clubbers & music lovers to places they may never wish to return from!

Dimitri Kechagias review: Everything is looking great for the forthcoming compilation Politics of Dancing Vol.3 that seems that will create waves in the electronic music community. The tracks released so far from it are simply perfect and now comes the next one that is very beautiful too. For this track Paul van Dyk collaborates with the beloved Aly & Fila and on vocal is the exceptional singer Sue McLaren that we hope to see her soon with personal album as well as she really deserves it. Guardian combines the two worlds of Paul van Dyk with his established melodies that recall his classic For An Angel with the tough pounding drums and energetic basslines of Aly & Fila into one coherent uplifting euphoric trancer of the highest quality. Particularly the breakdown is exceptional with warm mesmerising melodies, variety of synthy plucks, piano chords, cinematic strings with classical orchestral music influences and right at the top the magnificent goddess of trance Sue McLaren that I hope to see her performing live this track why not at the Digital Society in Leeds in March. What is also very important that  Sue sings a full song with great story and not just some short top lines. Jordan Suckley is on remix duties and the upcoming and quickly rising to the top UK trance star transforms the original into his dirty dark "Damaged" style with psy trance and tech trance elements. He remix targets the full on mainstage trance sets with aggressive foundation while he uses the full vocal and again Sue McLaren sounds very much at home. His breakdown is sensitive and emotional packed with darker synthy chords and opera like chorus voices.  What's more he includes very cool break beat sequence with distorted parts of the vocal. His climax as you can expect from him goes the moody tech trance direction focused on the strong basslines and the pounding metallic drums. Pedro del Mar & RIB  service the deep emotional chill out version with soothing calming melodies, warm cinematic strings and loungy jazzy grooves. Now the package gets even bigger with two additional remixes that simply extend the sonic pleasure to the maximum. Sunrise mix is a magnificent warm melodic progressive trancer perfect for the warm up sets that you want to add special glow of beauty and make the proceedings really atmospheric and inspirational. Balearic grooves, sunkissed melodies and Sue McLaren with her stunning voice and her highly emotional performance. Sunset remix is an even more laid back version with minimal lazy grooves, bubbly warm basslines, orchestral strings, emotional synths and with some abstract heavenly like parts of Sue vocals. Great version if you want to concentrate on the melodies and not on the voice.  This is absolutely magical! #PureClass, #PureGold Love It

'Nothing Will Go Wrong' / 'We Are Not Alone' is the massive debut double a-side single release on NewState Music by Battlestation - a new Norwegian production duo dropping intergalactic electronic sounds from the future.

'Nothing Will Go Wrong' is an epic production with stadium size synths, and thumping beats that also features Jamie, the esteemed Norwegian DJ, on production duties,

On the flip, we have ‘We Are Not Alone’ - that takes things up a level into hyperspace, with an ultra tough triplet bassline, and anthemic piano breakdown, that will destroy the dancefloor.

Keep an eye on Battlestation - as this hot new duo are widely tipped to blow up in 2014.

Dimitri Kechagias review: The world is about to Discover the latest sensation in the EDM scene. The hit making record label New State Music from UK introduce to the world the fantastic Norwegian duo Battlestation who will win the admiration and many plays on dj sets. First of all We Are Not Alone is a powerful drivig and ready to explode on dancefloors near you epic prog house smasher that bangs hard with tough kicks, bouncy pumping basslines and excellent breakdown with classica orchestral music influences. Romantic piano chords followed by massive hair raising synths that nicely along with claps taking over the control of the dancefloor! The drop is demanding, dominating and powercracking so better take the needed percussions and let the party begin. When you dance with this smasher the dancefloor will be packed and you will definitely will not be alone. Nothing Will Go Wrong is a brilliant production that has dirty gritty basslines, pumping pulsating kicks and excellent application of the well known melody from the classic Italo Eurodance anthem by Capella.
