Six primal emotions guide the journey toward Tomorrowland
With just 50 days to go until Tomorrowland Belgium opens a new chapter in its history, the iconic festival reveals the first glimpses of Consciencia: a new frontier within the Tomorrowland Universe, shaped by the force of human emotion. Through a global cinematic trailer, a limited‑edition fantasy novel, and an exclusive fashion collection, the People of Tomorrow are invited to embark on an emotional journey and discover a new narrative that will unfold across three festival editions: Belgium, Thailand, and Brazil.
BOOK | The Legend of Consciencia
Tomorrowland unveils its fourth fantasy novel, The Legend of Consciencia, the official origin story behind the 2026 festival theme, now in its second print following an enthusiastic reception. The book introduces the characters, symbols, and emotions that will come to life at the festival grounds. Whether attending the festival or not, readers worldwide are invited to immerse themselves in Tomorrowland’s rich storytelling universe and uncover the magic woven throughout the book.
Discover the story
Welcome to the magical World of Emotions, where the near-immortal Fae inhabit the Provinces of Wonder, Desire, Anger, Joy, Love and Sadness. When Consciencia of Wonder is about to bind herself to Galathyr of Desire, something terrible happens and her great love is violently taken from her. Determined to find him again, she embarks on a dangerous journey across the six Provinces, where she must confront her past and learn to master her emotions.
Released as a premium collector’s edition, the book features: a gold‑foiled hardcover, exclusive original artwork, two intricately illustrated maps and rich visual storytelling throughout.
FASHION | Limited event collection with emotional layers
The event collection translates the Consciencia theme into a series of fashion pieces designed to carry the magic of the experience beyond the moment itself. Anchored by three powerful statement icons - The Grand Visage of Amutaz, ascending staircase, and the six primal emotions - each item becomes a wearable memory.
With Consciencia, Tomorrowland introduces a powerful artistic thread that begins in Belgium, journeys onward to Thailand, and ultimately culminates at Tomorrowland Brasil.
The official trailer video offers a first cinematic introduction to the festival theme. More than a theme, Consciencia is a living narrative that travels across continents, connecting cultures and communities through one unified vision.
Consciencia unveils a mysterious dimension where six primal emotions form the foundations of existence: Wonder, Love, Anger, Joy, Desire, and Sadness. Within this world, these emotions take shape as six distinct factions, each defined by its own visual language, rituals, and symbolic universe. Together, they create a realm that feels both otherworldly and deeply human, a place where emotions become landscapes, and imagination takes form.

ADE introduces the Culture Hub: a new gathering on ADE Saturday where ADE Pro, ADE Lab, and ADE Beats come together to honor the foundations of electronic music. Subcultures and grassroots movements are not side stories but the very core of the global scene, where innovation takes root and spreads outward. Building on the legacy of ADE Beats, the Culture Hub connects ADE Lab’s focus on talent with Pro’s global outlook to create a platform where stories, strategies, and sounds converge. At Felix Meritis, it becomes the place where grassroots meet global, and where the roots of electronic music drive its future.
Join these thought-leaders on ADE Saturday at the Culture Hub at Felix Meritis
Pro perspectives: An ode to Sound System Culture
Born in Jamaica in the 1950s, sound systems became more than a way to play music. They were tools for gathering, resistance, and cultural expression. They powered carnivals in London, stood up to apartheid in South Africa, and carried underground raves across Europe. Sound systems remind us that innovation in electronic music begins in communities that create their own spaces and voices. By spotlighting this culture at ADE, we recognize its role as a foundation for today’s scene and as the ground where new ideas take root.
Keynote Linett Kamala - Sound System Culture As A Force Of Healing
DJ, artist, and community organiser Linett Kamala, also known as Notting Hill’s ‘Sound System Queen’, celebrates 40 years in sound system culture. From pioneering as one of the first female DJs at Notting Hill Carnival to leading full sound system takeovers at major institutions, Kamala combines artistic practice and academic research to show how carnival and sound systems can heal, empower, and shape culture.
Sound system exposition - Kebra Ethiopia Sound System
Since its creation, reggae has been more than music: a weapon for justice, a soundtrack for humanitarian causes, and a source of meditation. These ideals live on in Kebra Ethiopia Sound System, founded in South Africa. Known for their hand-built speakers, they amplify not just dub, but a sound of peace and unity. At ADE, a hosted dance session and a photo installation marks their 20-year journey, from Rastafarian roots to their role as a cultural and political force. On ADE Saturday, the focus widens to artists they bring from the African diaspora and continent, which culminates in an exhibitions at Garage Noord and Felix Meritis framing sound system culture through the lens of social justice.
Sound Systems: Raves, Riots and Revolution with Faithless' Dave Randall and Lei di Dai
Sound systems have always been more than speakers. From carnivals to protests, from Brazil’s favelas to underground raves, they amplify voices, challenge authority, and carry movements across borders. This panel with Dave Randall of Faithless and the 'Brazilian queen of dancehall' Lei di Dai looks at their political and cultural power and asks what sound system culture means in today’s age of global festivals and digital networks.
From the grassroots up
Electronic music has always thrived on do-it-yourself spirit and community drive. From bubbling to Kawina, these panels highlight the creativity and resilience of grassroots culture, where heritage and innovation go hand in hand.
Live sampling session & showcase with Jarreau Vandal
A showcase on the influence of Kawina music on contemporary electronic music at ADE's in-house program. Jarreau Vandal will be sampling some live Kawina rhythms as a masterclass/showcase in the main hall of the Felix Meritis, accompanied by the TNO Sound System. Founded in 2015, the TNO collective is rooted in streetwear but draws from art, music, and youth culture to design garments that encourage self-expression. Beyond clothing, the brand operates as a cultural platform, supporting local talent and shaping creative spaces in Amsterdam and beyond.
Jarreau Vandal will also participate in the panel 'The origin and influence of Kawina music'; a talk about the origin and influence of Kawina music with artists Janaoh and visual anthropologist Manpreet Brar (Dutch-spoken)
This film is an ethnographic exploration of what Kawina music means to different musicians, producers, dj’s and listeners. It shows passion, nostalgia, experimentations and most of all different ways in which people are concerned with and take care of kawina music as Afro-Surinamese heritage.
Q&A and showcase: Bubbling Beats Vol. 7
Two decades after the last edition of the legendary ‘Bubbling Beats’-series, the impactful platform is making a triumphant return. This year Chuckie, who played a major part in the series, and his team resurrect Bubbling Beats under the PlayTune label, both to make the classics physically available again, and to showcase the bubbling scene’s new generation and it’s current and future sound, movement and talent. Their newest compilation in the series, Bubbling Beats Vol. 7, will be released during this year’s Amsterdam Dance Event. Join us for an exclusive album Q&A and showcase spearheaded by De Schuurman, for the latest on the new wave of bubbling.
Culture & Ownership: How To Build Your Own Heritage (Dutch-spoken)
An interactive talk on creating cultural heritage with integrity and purpose. Vanity Roxane, Joan Biekman, and Lara Jade share their experiences in preserving hip-hop heritage, building inclusive platforms, and carving out spaces for women+ in music. Together they explore how to claim ownership and leave a lasting cultural impact.
Bridging gaps at the Culture Hub
Subcultures are the global scene. The Culture Hub traces the communities and visionaries that continue to spark innovation in electronic music; from sound systems to streetwear, from Brazilian funk to Tokyo’s industry realities.
Campfire Q&A with Cultural Icon Karl Kani
Carl ‘Karl Kani’ Williams, the ‘godfather of urban streetwear’, brought hip-hop style from Brooklyn to the global stage. In this session he reflects on his legacy, the craft that built his brand, and how music and fashion continue to shape culture together.
Audiomack presents: Africa’s Streaming Boom - A Global Strategy
The African streaming economy is opening new opportunities for artists and reshaping global collaborations. Audiomack’s David Ponte, Chief Marketing Officer and co-founder of Audiomack, and Felix de Jong join South African artists DBN Gogo and Gigi Lamayne to discuss how streaming drives careers and carries sounds from the continent to the world.
Navigating the Japanese Music Industry
Curated by Aran Abe (KIIRO), this panel brings together leading figures such as Hide Kawada, Mimi Shimada, Akiko Usuki, and moderator Michel Holshuijsen to explore artist management, nightlife, and publishing, bridging Japan and the international scene at ADE Pro.
From the Baile to the World
Brazilian funk’s pioneers trace the genre’s evolution from Baile parties to global phenomenon. Curated by Baile da Galecta and Criativos Foundation, this session is part of a dedicated focus on Brazilian Funk at ADE Pro, which includes the DJ workshop on ADE Saturday. Join Galecta and Bronka for an authoritative look at the past, present, and future of one of the world's most dynamic musical forces.
The Culture Hub is where past and present meet. By gathering these stories under one roof, ADE affirms that innovation begins in community. Join the community and learn from the people defining the scene.
The complete program will be announced in the coming weeks. Individual tickets are available through ADE’s program, and the ADE Pro Pass is available here.
ADE is organised by the Amsterdam Dance Event Foundation, a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to nurturing electronic music, its culture and its industry worldwide. Following the success of the residency with Defected Records in the UK last year, Peloton is turning up the volume once again—this time with the world’s largest independent dance music label, Armada Music. Founded by legendary DJ and producer Armin van Buuren and CEO Maykel Piron, Armada Music has been a driving force in electronic music for more than two decades.
Starting this April 2025, Peloton Members can experience the energy of Armada Music firsthand with an exclusive lineup of live DJ-led classes at Peloton Studios New York and Peloton Studios London. Across the year, Peloton will bring Members six electrifying workouts featuring Armada’s top artists, blending heart-pumping rides and high-energy mat-based workouts.
"At Armada Music, we believe in the power of music to move people—both emotionally and physically,” said Maykel Piron, CEO & Co-Founder of Armada Music. “Partnering with Peloton for this residency is an exciting way to merge fitness with the music we love, creating a space where people can push their limits while feeling completely immersed in the sound."
The residency kicks off with electronic dance music mainstay ARTY taking over Peloton Studios New York on April 3, delivering two unforgettable Armada Music moments—Peloton’s first LIVE Dance Cardio Class with Peloton Instructor Emma Lovewell and a LIVE DJ Ride with Peloton Instructor Olivia Amato. And that’s just the beginning—throughout the year, more Armada artists, including Armin van Buuren, will take center stage to bring the beats across Peloton’s diverse fitness disciplines.
“Being an instructor, music plays a pivotal role in planning my classes and setting the tone for the workout. Armada’s sound serves as the perfect mental escape and motivator during the tougher parts of class” said Peloton Instructor Olivia Amato. “Riding to a live DJ set is that same concept amplified—combining movement, music and community makes these moments so powerful. I can't wait to bring that electric energy to our Members and have them experience it firsthand."
With a roster that includes some of the most celebrated DJs in the world, the Armada Music residency is designed to bring the energy of global dance floors directly to the Peloton community. The residency will feature a total of six classes across multiple modalities, ensuring that every Member can experience the electrifying synergy of live music and movement.
Each moment in the residency will spotlight a different Armada Music artist, bringing their signature sounds to Peloton Studios in both New York and London. More Armada Music artists are slated to take over this summer, followed by a fall finale featuring Armada’s co-founder and dance music icon, Armin van Buuren. As one of the most influential figures in electronic music—and a dedicated fitness lover himself—Armin’s presence in the Peloton Studios will be a milestone moment for both fitness and music fans.
More details on upcoming DJs and class drops will be revealed throughout the year—so stay tuned and get ready to move with the beat of Armada Music. Follow @onepeloton @pelotonstudios and @armadamusic for ongoing updates.
