Paul Oakenfold teams up with one of Northern Ireland's hottest trance stars, Sneijder, to create this banging new version of what is arguably one of the biggest records ever released on Perfecto – Bullet In The Gun.

Originally released on Perfecto 26 years ago in 2000 this was a “Courtyard Classic” from the golden era of Paul Oakenfold's legendary Cream residency at Nation in Liverpool.

Bringing it right up to date with punch and power this new manifestation is one for the peak time hours and having already been a firm favourite with Hannah Laing who played it continuously in her sets through 2025 – we anticipate this one to be lighting up dancefloors all through the forthcoming summer and beyond.

[item value="10"]Paul Oakenfold x Sneijder - Bullet In The Gun [/item]
[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"] Paul Oakenfold and Sneijder’s new rendition of “Bullet In The Gun” surges with an electrifying energy that reflects meticulous attention to every technical and production aspect of modern trance music. The track’s 140 BPM tempo drives a propulsive rhythm and groove that maintains unwavering kinetic force, providing the kind of drive that keeps club and festival audiences entranced. The heavy metallic kicks and rolling basslines anchor the dynamic rhythm section, perfectly balanced to create momentum without overwhelming the midrange, while the syncopated percussive elements enhance its hypnotic flow. The melodic hooks and layered harmonics are executed with precision, combining lush floating synths and the iconic vocal line to craft an emotional peak experience. Harmonic layering is carefully managed, with each chord progression and countermelody balanced to ensure clarity, contributing to its immense replay value. Transitions and build-ups are a masterclass in tension and release; the drops land with both weight and brightness, ensuring energy flow remains compelling across the entire arrangement. The sound design exudes polished production quality, leveraging spatial effects like reverbs and delays to expand the stereo field, creating immersion that envelops listeners whether in headphones or on festival-grade speakers. Sneijder’s mix maintains an ideal dynamic range, avoiding over-compression, allowing the track to breathe even at high loudness levels. From intro to outro, the structure accommodates professional DJ use, with precise cue points, loop-friendly sections, and BPM consistency that seamlessly integrates into high-energy sets. This cohesion and storytelling are critical for maintaining dancefloor engagement, and each twist in the arrangement provides both surprise and satisfying continuity. Originality in the arrangement arises from its fusion of old-school trance aesthetics with modern sonic precision, amplifying artistic identity. Vocals cut through with clarity, enhancing both lyrical impact and emotional resonance, pivotal for mental stimulation and collective crowd response. Research in music psychology supports the mental health and fitness benefits of such high-tempo, harmonically rich compositions. Studies like Karageorghis & Priest (2012) suggest that high-BPM, rhythmically consistent tracks can enhance endurance and workout motivation, while auditory immersion in uplifting melodies is associated with mood elevation and stress reduction (Thoma et al., 2013). In the context of wellness or fitness classes, tracks like this elevate heart rate synchronization and can improve exercise performance, while the euphoric elements stimulate dopamine release, promoting emotional well-being. Overall, “Bullet In The Gun” emerges as both a club-ready weapon and a track with scientifically observable positive effects on human mood and energy. Its flawless sound design, dynamic storytelling, and emotional pull guarantee longevity on dancefloors and in personal playlists alike. #PureGold Loveit[/content]

Florian Picasso hits the club in full stride with 'Sissy Walk', a 138bpm stormer that sashays between late night energy and percolating melodic bliss. With crisp percussion and bubbling synths that never let up, 'Sissy Walk' is Florian Picasso's bold new statement, out now on Paul Oakenfold's iconic Perfecto Records.

[item value="10"]Florian Picasso - Sissy Walk[/item]
[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]Florian Picasso's 'Sissy Walk' is a dynamic 138 BPM dance anthem that masterfully bridges the gap between late-night club vigor and melodic sophistication. Released under the auspices of Paul Oakenfold's legendary Perfecto Records, this track stands as a bold testament to Picasso's evolving artistry within the electronic music landscape. Technically, 'Sissy Walk' is an exemplar of polished production techniques. The track opens with a foundation of crisp, syncopated percussion—meticulously layered to create a propulsive rhythm that commands the dance floor. The percussive elements are complemented by a series of bubbling synths, whose arpeggiated patterns introduce a melodic interplay that oscillates between playful and hypnotic. These synth textures are crafted using advanced sound design techniques, incorporating modulation effects, subtle reverb, and delay to add depth and spatial dimension. The production process reflects a meticulous attention to detail, with each sonic element occupying its own distinct space within the mix. Picasso employs sidechain compression to achieve that characteristic "pumping" effect, allowing the kick drum to cut through the mix with clarity. Additionally, the dynamic range is carefully managed, ensuring that the track maintains its energy without succumbing to over-compression—a common pitfall in high-energy dance music. Vocally, 'Sissy Walk' features catchy hooks that are both memorable and versatile, designed to resonate across diverse listening environments from bustling clubs to mainstream radio. The vocal processing includes pitch correction for stylistic effect, layered harmonies, and strategic use of filters to enhance the track’s playful, flirtatious vibe. Overall, 'Sissy Walk' is not just a song—it’s a sophisticated production that showcases Florian Picasso's prowess in blending pop dance sensibilities with cutting-edge electronic music techniques. Its fast tempo, infectious atmosphere, and technical finesse make it a standout track capable of captivating a wide audience. #PureGold LoveIT [/content]

About Florian Picasso

Florian Picasso is an enigmatic DJ with an artistic vision and knack for curation that’s poised to become a reference point in the cultural lexicon. As the great-grandson of Pablo Picasso, he carries a legacy of creativity, but it’s his own sound that’s making waves on the global stage. A DJ and producer with nearly two decades of experience, Florian is now experiencing a bold resurgence in the electronic music world. His recent highlights include a standout performance at Berlin’s iconic HÖR, a packed show at ADE with his music and arts collective Dekadance, and curating the sound and mood for Patek Philippe’s first watch launch in 25 years. These milestones mark just the beginning of what promises to be a defining chapter in his career. Florian’s new sound is as complex as his background — a mix of groovy, bouncy, and hard-hitting beats that reflect his passion for both spontaneity and introspection. His music is sexy and euphoric, while also deeply vulnerable and expressive. This unique blend of emotions is rooted in his personal journey: raised in a world of privilege and art, but as an adopted child, also struggling with feelings of belonging. DJing became a way for Florian to process these emotions and channel them into music that speaks to both the mind and the body. But Florian is more than just an artist, he’s a curator of culture. As the co-founder of Dekadance, a dynamic collective centered around music, arts, and inclusivity, he’s building a community that thrives on collaboration and creative freedom. Together with co-founder CAPTNNN, Dekadance isn’t just about music events — it’s a movement that brings together diverse disciplines, fostering a space where everyone is welcome. With recent support from industry heavyweights like Solomun — who’s been playing some of Florian’s unreleased tracks — as well as an upcoming EP release with Hot Meal Records, Florian is continuing to expand his influence. His vision is to create something bigger than just his own career: a space for innovation, collaboration, and artistic expression that will leave a lasting impact on the cultural landscape.

Fresh from throwing the highest party in the world on Mt. Everest , the legendary artist Paul Oakenfold and Insomniac’s dedicated trance brand, Dreamstate, teamed up to release a monumental 20-track compilation, Dreamstate Volume One. Acting as the brand ambassador and an influential figure in the trance space, Paul Oakenfold rigorously curated and mixed the perfect culmination of sounds that will prepare listeners for Dreamstate’s West Coast return this May. The compilation, which includes Paul’s built-for-the-occasion, “Dreamstate Theme”, will be available to purchase and stream on April 21.

Trance turned a corner on July 22, 2015 – the moment that Dreamstate began laying the foundation for its worldwide takeover, with tickets to its inaugural Southern California event selling out in less than four hours. Boasting a handful of unrivaled artists performing across one single stage at the NOS Events Center, Dreamstate was set to become an instant success.

Order Dreamstate Volume One here

Following its inception in 2015, the brand took flight and gained momentum in the US and abroad. Soon Dreamstate was producing immersive events in New York, Australia, Mexico, and London. Now, just ahead of its debut North American city tour, Insomniac and Paul Oakenfold are thrilled to unveil Dreamstate’s latest development with its first capsule mix compilation.

Several generations deep in trance, who better to bring the series into focus than Paul Oakenfold? The legendary producer and chart-topping artist assembled the 20 essential tracks fans will want to hear before the doors of the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium swing open again to present Dreamstate SF on May 27 & 28.

Listeners are in line for rafter-blasters aplenty from more upliftingly inclined transmitters such as Alex M.O.R.P.H., M.I.K.E. Push, Jordan Suckley and Stoneface & Terminal. As psytrance is a personal favourite sound of Oakenfold’s, Dreamstate Volume One features sonic tonics from Astrix, Vini Vici, Ritmo, Liquid Soul and others. Snapping the locks off a trove of his own studio treasures, ‘Volume One’ righteously includes Paul’s event-heralding track, “Dreamstate Theme.”

Kicking off his mix, Oakenfold weighs in with his recently unwrapped, “Conquistador,” speedily followed by a double Dutch hit of Radion6’s seismic “Shockwave” and Tommy Johnson’s “Tubular Bells” remake. Flying the Deutsch flag just as high, Alex M.O.R.P.H.’s “Euforia Anthem” and “Keep Going,” courtesy of Stoneface & Terminal, angle the mix-trajectory sky-bound. Midpoint, Paul weighs in with the latest from his own repertoire, as cuts like “Away,” “Shanghai Baby” and “Dreamstate Theme” seize the agenda.

Latterly, Vini Vici’s “Namaste,” “Be Right” from Ritmo & Liquid Soul, and Astrix & Ritmo’s “Agate,” shuttle the mix to the psy-trance end. Bringing Dreamstate Volume One to a combustive head, Paul closes with his most recent single, the “perfect” (DJ Mag UK), “stellar” (DJ Mag Italy) Jordan Suckley collaboration, “Amnesia,”

Dreamers, dreamtime is upon us again: Dreamstate Volume One touches down on April 21.

An exclusive from Dreamstate Volume One - Mixed by Paul Oakenfold

Since he aced his remix of Oakey’s Fluoro-released ‘Ibiza’ back in 2014, it was only ever a question of when Jordan and Paul would band together in the studio. Time is right, time is here and given the pedigree of the operators involved, you probably don’t need to speak fluent trance to know what kind of tip ‘Amnesia’ going off on.

A fitting follow up to their ‘Ibiza’ work, ‘Amnesia’s a testament to the club that both DJs have sent stellar countless times. Oakey’s legendary production mastery aligns seamlessly with Jordan’s primetime tempo and psy-psyche. Empyrean vocal harmonies dovetail into the pitched energy, as its synths rise, the faders fly and its atom gets split.

When you absolutely positively need every shoe on the floor this season, nothing but ‘Amnesia’ will quite do. See you down the front, right?!

[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"] Gary Maguire on Perfecto Fluoro goes full on tech trance with his rocking solid dark monster Catch Twenty Two. The track is straight forward journey to the dark side with punchy basslines, pulsating pumping grooves and industrial synthy themes. The breakdown is very uplifting with big synths, nice strings and huge rave industrial style dark synthy hook. The climax doesn't capitalise on the strength of the main theme but rather carries on with that head down dark moody tech bass focused sound. Gary at his most dark moments I guess. #PureBassPower Love it [/content]

For our 15th release, we are delighted to welcome the return of Trilucid to Perfecto Black, this time in collaboration with Alex Collings. The result is 2 stunning progressive tracks in the form of Ventura and Blame.

Ventura is a sublime piece of deep prog, a warm, dark pad bass line, haunting arps, complimented by a lush main riff, constantly evolving and progressing to it’s epic climax.

Blame grabs you from the off, a hypnotic, driving bassline and percussion giving the track a superb groove and pace. It builds to the breakdown where the real magic happens. The huge pad bass, haunting vocals, main riff all come together to create a moment of genius.

Both tracks fit the Perfecto Black ethos perfectly and were signed without hesitation!

There was a time when Stoneface & Terminal were in a league of their own in the context of driving 140 tech trance and it gives us great pleasure to not only see them back making this extraordinary music, but to host it on Fluoro. This is proper trance at it’s best. Two tracks of skilful, original, pioneering sounds and arrangement with trademark Stoneface & Terminal punch and clarity. You know when you’re looking out over the dancefloor thinking which record could I put on now that would 100% guarantee to send the place bananas... ? This is that record. After a long break Paul Oakenfold returns to Fluoro with a melodic masterpiece of mammoth proportions. Bla Bla Bla is the 2016 anthem all the die hard Fluoro fans have been waiting for.

Fast rising psy-trance superstar Eddie Bitar takes on remix duties, stripping away the melody for a heads down techy workout that will no doubt have the darkest corners of clubs and festivals throbbing in the months to come. This is the bit where we sign off with a witty one liner - but since nobody ever reads this let’s just say Bla Bla Bla - whatever - just listen!

Dimitri Kechagias review: One of the leading figures in the trance world is Paul Oakenfold who is responsible for building the careers of many great artists. His latest release Blah Blah Blah on Perfecto Fluoro moves away from house and returns to the classic  driving energetic trance sound. He adopts classic basslines, pounding grooves and pulsating colorful synths that push the whole production forward. Fat stomping beats, razor sharp basslines and massive synthy lead to bring euphoria and uplifting feel goodness to any dancefloor. Eddie Bitar well known for his melodic psy tech trance sound delivers the stunning playful arrangement. He is packing punchy booming razor sharp basslines with crunchy techy grooves and some acid overtones as well. The vocals are stretched, cut, pushed up and down in order to let the trance world know that more important is the music and not the words that can be summed up as Blah Blah Blah. #PureGold 10/10 Love It

2015 is a year of firsts for Perfecto Fluoro where artists are concerned, not only have we had the up-and-coming talent of Eddie Bitar as well as the long standing trance ambassador, Sean Tyas, but we now have a 2 track EP from one of the trance scene’s early producers, David Forbes.

David’s debut on the label brings us two hard-hitting, hugely energetic trancers; Shift and Airdrop both having their own style and sound but with that unmistakable Forbes flavour.

Which one will you choose!

Dimitri Kechagias review: The superb producer David Forbes is back on track with another top EP this time on Paul Oakenfold's legendary Perfecto Fluoro record label. Full on driving energetic productions that will impress the Perfecto Fluoro followers. Shift is an excellent hybrid of tech trance with uplifting elements and psy trance infusions as well. Serious dark and punchy production with cosmic spacey synths, acid layers and great dynamic rhythm that make you wanna dance like there is no tomorrow. Excellent balanced production with long atmospheric breakdown with variety of electronic melodies and nice trance waves to raise the hair from your back and make you scream. Airdrop is another magnificent production that pushes all the right buttons with fat energetic basslines, punchy booming and vavooming drums, dark gritty sounds, aggressive acid layers, vicious notorious atmosphere and psy trance infused main synthy riffs that will do damage on the massive uncompromising climax. This is Perfecto Fluoro at its best! #PureGold Love It

This is great big bitch of a release and we invite you to jump on and take a ride.

Dimitri Kechagias review: Perfecto Fluoro presents another long awaited collaboration that will go down like a storm. The fantastic  Angry Man combines his forces with the always impressive Harmonic Rush for the stunning Purple Haze. The original mix is a clean, crispy and sharp energetic powerful hard trancer with heavy acid layers, banging drums and driving psy trance infused basslines while the breakdown is packed with Middle Eastern flavours and ethnic influences. The climax is dark, moody and in your face perfect for the absolute peak time moment of your trance set. The beloved Eddie Bitar transform the techy atmosphere of the original into a modern melodic psy tech trancer with feel good melodies in the breakdown and superb classic psy trance bassline that is dangerous like snake and ready to byte you on the dancefloor so better dance and let the energy flow with the trance vibes spreading all over the space and time. #PureBassPower Love it

Lebanon’s hottest trance export Eddie Bitar makes his debut on Perfecto Fluoro with this killer double psy injected Psyanide EP. Featuring “Running Through My Veins” and “Evil Child” this is a 2 track record of mass destruction.

Pumping, peak time psy-trance fuelled, full on Fluoro madness.

We love it. We want more of it. We will have more of it. Because we is greedy when it comes to psy.

Dimitri Kechagias review: Perfecto Fluoro was and still is one of the pioneering record labels in UK that brought psy trance to the masses. The label continues this legacy with the new generation of the very able producers like Eddie Bitar with his magnificent Psyanide EPRunning Through My Veins is a typical modern melodic psy tech trancer with classic psy trance kicks and drums while the sharp bassline is playful and energetic. The melodies are quite subtle and stay at the background rather than being on the front. Here what it counts is the bassline and the dark haunting atmosphere. On the other hand Evil Child is an exceptional slice of melodic psy tech trance that starts with Middle East exotic instrument playing a magical tune and applies beautifully superb cinematic vocal samples mixed up with uplifting euphoric synthys and the classic psy tech trance bassline and rough kick drum that pushes more and more until to reach oblivion. Dark and dangerous trancers from Eddie Bitar who does not afraid to expose his darker side. #PureDarkness Love it

Fluoro headliner Simon Patterson is back with arguably his biggest trance release - ever. Bold words? You might think so when reading this, but if we stop talking it will allow you to start listening. And if we do that then you’ll no doubt agree.

If Simon’s back catalogue was a city centre then Apex is the Empire State Building – standing head and shoulders above the clouds and the other skyward stretching beast like structures that surround it.

Think Smack – on crack. Thump with more pump.

Think brand new genre – tech-psy.

Actually stop thinking – just listen - and learn.

Dimitri Kechagias review: Simon Patterson is considered as one of the most influential trance producers who has been converted to psy trance and he has attempted to mix psy trance with other genres as well. His track Apex will leave you surprised with its mouthwatering sounds and the very clever twists and turns. Apex is prime time mainstage melodic meets psy acid trance with heavy tech trance infusions as well. Bouncy techy drums, energetic in your face punchy basslines and superb breakdown with sci-fi infused spoken vocal samples and massive euphoric synthy riffs. The climax is super agressive with rocking sharp basslines that charge adrenaline levels to the maximum. The second sequence of the climax moves on a more euphoric melodic hands in the air sound that will please many ears. Apex is not your usual fluffy trancer. Keep your ears open and enjoy it when will be played on summer trance festivals sound systems this serious inventive piece of futuristic trance. #PureGold Love It

Your wait is over!

Backed by “Shining Light” fans of the traditional progressive sound will not be disappointed.

Dimitri Kechagias review: Perfecto Black dives in the deepest sides of progressive trance and presents the magnificent anthems Lost and Shinning Light by the unstoppable duo Harper & Green. Every release from them so far is brilliant so the expectations are high! Lost is an exceptional slice of deep melodic progressive trance with tribal drums, relentlessly building basslines, haunting atmosphere, spacey highly distorted vocal samples, great groove and irresistible rhythm. Dark and moody but at the same time hopeful and emotional Lost is all about being Lost within an ocean of sounds and rejuvenating music. Shinning Light continues on the same dark and haunting atmosphere with hypnotic grooves, tribal drum programming, sci-fi sound effects, acid overtones, percussive melodies and melancholic melodic themes. South Afircan, Zack Mia makes his debut on Perfecto Fluoro with his high intensity club monster, “Red Planet”; a blend of modern production with traditional elements that creates a powerful and energetic eargasm.

Current 140 superstar Harmonic Rush adds his signature sound to the package, adapting the original riff to create a more uplifting element, while taking in some psy influences on the way.

Fresh from his recent appearance on Fluoro with “Neurotoxin” - his recent collaboration with Perfecto regular, Angry Man - Second Sine moulds Red Planet into a strong tech flavoured trancer with a groove to die for.

Dimitri Kechagias review: Perfecto Fluoro is back with another mindblowing release that is destined to get extensive plays from tech trance and psy trance djs. Zack Mia delivers his stunning trip to Red Planet. The track is definitely will surprise you from its variety of influences that includes. It starts a bit psy melodic trance then in the breakdown the heavenly mesmerising ethnic female vocal uplift your spirit and then he carry on in true tech trance direction until to change again and continue with uplifting euphoric section. Harmonic Rush is on board and he pushes the track to his territory. Truly focused on his vision of what constitutes great trance the talented Middle East producer composes a power thunder that will struck hard all the trance festivals this summer. Melodic, euphoric and hands in the air with atmospheric breakdown that even includes breaks like section until to build the tension towards his aggressive edgy climax that bangs hard that's the truth.  Lastly Second Sine service his melodic psy trance version that has elements of progressive trance, psy trance and euphoric in one explosive piece of tight, solid and super serious trance bomb that will attack the trancefloors very soon. #PureGold Love It

Audio Noir has had a strong and steady string of releases since his debut in 2013 on Bonzai Records. He has gone on to have releases on Bonzai Progressive, Green Martian, JOOF and Drizzly before the track “Piranha” landed into the Perfecto demos inbox.

The original is a dark, twisting progressive track, which has a strong old school element from the gated pads and memorizing bassline.

Philthy Chit (fast becoming the ‘go to’ guy for progressive sounds) is on hand to bring us his distinct blend of music with a strong remix that has seen early support from Above & Beyond (GT121) and Paul Oakenfold in his Full On Fluoro radio show.

This package continues the Black ethos perfectly!

Check the Philthy Chit remix on his radio show

Dimitri Kechagias review: Perfecto Black presents the latest composition by Audio Noir. The Australian artist has proved his talent and he delivers on his usual style the track track Piranha. It's an amazing hybrid of deep progressive house and deep trancer into one experimental, dark and dystopian melancholic take. Perfection and attention to every detail makes Piranha true class. On the other hand Philthy Chit delivers the more progressive trance style version with deep pulsating driving basslines, chunky techy groove and  very memorable classy  hi-nrgy synths that appear throughout the track after the mysterious long breakdown. Zen Mix is the relaxing and truly inspirational chill out version that is served cold with ice in a sunny afternoon in the beach. Paul Oakenfold attempts successfully to re-edit the track and make it suitable for his radio sets and live performances. #PureGold Love It
