With no small sense of drama the next standalone to come from Lowland’s ‘We’ve Been Here Before’ LP receives its singles call-up today. Its occasion has - for the first time - put Lowland’s Petri Alanko into the same orbit as singer (and fellow Finlander) MARiANNA.

A chanteuse of unparalleled style and creativity, together, on ‘Infinite Loudness’ the two have conspired one of those rare you’ve-never-heard-anything-quite-like-this numbers. A track that bucks convention, delights in the different and delivers something as memorable as it is unique.

Tracking all of the minutiae inspirations, influences, undertones and sonic-salutes behind ‘Infinite Loudness’ is a task pretty much without end. Each play reveals new layers and nuances and gives ever-greater weight to its stunning complexity. Synth-pop shades, rock opera nods, trance-styled synths and darkly thunderous orchestral drums are but a handful of the heady elements that gather around MARiANNA’s vocal.

And what a vocal it is. Drama is its watchword - an endlessly impelling follow-it-wherever-it-goes performance that brings her lyrics (even more symbolic than their title suggests) vividly to life. Brilliantly wrought, wrenching and intoxicating - a listening experience quite unlike any other, you can purchase/stream ‘Infinite Loudness’ here

[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]Lowland continues to create waves of interest around his name with his newest track Infinite Loudness (with MARiANNA) taken from his latest album recently released on Black Hole Recordings. Infinite Loudness is what we can term as intelligent trance with unique atmosphere that combines psy trance basslines, sharp kicks and rough drums while on top aggressive synths are merged with melodramatic strings that highlight MARiANNA's theatrical performance of the so superb lyrics that definitely move one step higher than the usual lyrics. If you think eclectic trance then a fine example is this little track waiting for remixes I guess. #PureGold Love IT[/content]

[item value="10"]Lowland - We've Been Here Before incl Cold Blue remix[/item]
[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]Lowland singles are definitely not to be missed if you follow the progressive slightly psy trance sound with strong electronic music foundation and influences from Jean Michel Jar or Vangelis. We've Been Here Before is a travelling melodic trancer with strong breakdown with slightly sci-fi infused sound design that shines outright with great breakdown with cinematic appeal leading to the full on climax that promises to carry you away to places that you have never experience before. This is real underground trance at its finest. Cold Blue is on great shape and definitely adds always another touch to any record he takes care off. His remix stays true to the original themes with stunning energetic metallic basslines, thumping bouncy grooves and on top the exceptional original themes that crawl easily under your skin adding certain moodiness leading to the stunning hands in the air climax with that massive out of this world and great proportion synthy blistering glowing hook transforming the exceptional original into something bigger and bolder for trance festival stages. #PureGold Love It [/content]
