ARMADA MUSIC CONTINUES ROLLOUT OF DOCUMENTARY SERIES FEATURING DANCE MUSIC TRAILBLAZERS

THE SERIES IS PART OF THE LABEL'S YEARLONG 20TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATIONS

‘Out Of The Blue’, the 1999 single of Ferry Corsten under his System F moniker, takes the spotlight in the third episode of the ‘Armada Music 20 Years Classics’ documentary series. In the episode, Ferry Corsten, Armada Music CEO Maykel Piron and BBC Radio 1 legend Pete Tong delve into the story behind the ‘80s-and-italo-dance-influenced record, the origins of the System F alias and how an unusual, guerrilla-style marketing tactic helped ensure the huge, career-advancing success of ‘Out Of The Blue’.

Specially commissioned for Armada Music's 20th anniversary, ‘Armada Music 20 Years Classics’ pays homage to dance music’s rich history and aims to educate a new generation of fans. The first episode aired back in June, featuring a behind-the-scenes look at the creation and legacy of Joe Smooth’s ‘Promised Land,’ including an exclusive interview with the producer and DJ who is credited as one of the pioneers of house music. Currently available to stream via Armada Music’s YouTube channel, Armada Music TV, the episode is the first in a series of five episodes dropping between now and the end of this year.

Bringing his 1999 remix of William Orbit's 'Adagio For Strings' to today's dance floors, Ferry Corsten hands fans young and old a ticket back to a seminal moment in time for the then emerging dance music movement. Fusing the nostalgia, the cadence and the timeless class of his original remix with the trademark sound that spearheads the tracks created under his System F moniker, the Dutchman produces a classic incarnate that will keep the crowd on a high from start to finish.

[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]Ferry Corsten is touring the globe at the moment with exceptional performances delivering glowing memories to his fans. Now as System F he remixes for the needs of 2022 the superb Adagio for Strings that lately saw many resurrections and remixes from various artists and styles. His version stays true to his System F old school trance sound with punchy basslines, driving kicks and energetic foundation while underneath fragments of the classic melody are introduced until to reach that incredible breakdown that colossal synths are performing the outstanding melody to blow your speakers and drive you utterly insane. Goosebumps for sure with System F version being the absolute favourite of mine beating hard even the well known Tiesto version. #PureGold Love iT [/content]
