ARMADA MUSIC CONTINUES ROLLOUT OF DOCUMENTARY SERIES FEATURING DANCE MUSIC TRAILBLAZERS
THE SERIES IS PART OF THE LABEL'S YEARLONG 20TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATIONS
‘Out Of The Blue’, the 1999 single of Ferry Corsten under his System F moniker, takes the spotlight in the third episode of the ‘Armada Music 20 Years Classics’ documentary series. In the episode, Ferry Corsten, Armada Music CEO Maykel Piron and BBC Radio 1 legend Pete Tong delve into the story behind the ‘80s-and-italo-dance-influenced record, the origins of the System F alias and how an unusual, guerrilla-style marketing tactic helped ensure the huge, career-advancing success of ‘Out Of The Blue’.
Specially commissioned for Armada Music's 20th anniversary, ‘Armada Music 20 Years Classics’ pays homage to dance music’s rich history and aims to educate a new generation of fans. The first episode aired back in June, featuring a behind-the-scenes look at the creation and legacy of Joe Smooth’s ‘Promised Land,’ including an exclusive interview with the producer and DJ who is credited as one of the pioneers of house music. Currently available to stream via Armada Music’s YouTube channel, Armada Music TV, the episode is the first in a series of five episodes dropping between now and the end of this year.
