Counting upwards of 14 years since the first episode of the radio show, A State Of Trance has found a special place in the hearts of Trance lovers and like-minded individuals. And ever since the A State Of Trance concept was brought onto the live stage, fans have been frantically holding their breath, eagerly awaiting the next big event. As A State Of Trance ventured into new territories over several continents with a brand new musical journey called A State Of Trance Festival, countless fans from all over the world gathered to catch a glimpse of their favorite artists on stage. Here to once again paint the pictures of those fantastic times: ‘A State Of Trance Festival 2015’.

Some of the best records have been compiled in no less than six mixes by six different DJs, infallibly capturing the true spirit of A State Of Trance. Last night A State Of Trance presented the renewed ‘A State of Trance Festival’. A crowd of over 30.000 people enjoyed multiple stages with over 30 DJs in the Jaarbeurs Utrecht. The festival delivered the unique ASOT vibe and electrifying atmosphere. For the fans who were not able to join this event, it was broadcasted live and connected 450.000 thousand people from 100 different countries all over the world. 

The festival was a big success as it brought a brand new musical journey that infallibly captured the true spirit of A State of Trance. The 4 stages in total, Main Stage 1, Main Stage 2, Who’s Afraid Of 138 area, the Talent Room and the Radio Dome brought different artists and music that created the unique ASOT vibe.

Armin treated his fans to a special warm-up set from 8 till 9 pm that was followed by the live radio show from the ASOT studio. The new studio had a very prominent place and was a highlight of the festival. The studio was introduced as the ‘A State Of Trance Radio Dome’. The Radio Dome, a transparent dome, was situated in its own area. Fans got special headphones and were able to listen live to the main stage and to exclusive interviews with DJs. Everyone was part of the radio show

All this together turned Utrecht into the Trance capital for one night and thousands of people turned Together in A State of Trance, the new theme of this year.  Armin van Buuren is very proud: “With all the artists and all the fans we really brought ASOT to the next level. We created the unique ASOT vibe, that incredible feeling and even more…. With the interaction of all the fans we really merged into Together A State of Trance!”  

                         

The next ‘A State of Trance Festival’ will be at 9th of April in Buenos Aires. Also ASOT will be present at ‘Ultra Festival’ on the 29 of March in Miami with a ASOT special. A State Of Trance radio show attracts more than 20 million listeners per week in an astonishing 74 countries, and was an instant success from the moment it started in 2001.

After being featured in ASOT 689 with ‘Because You’re Here’, Johann Stone returns with an attention-grabbing, cinematic tune with plenty of roots in the classic trance sound we all know and love.

Dimitri Kechagias review: Johann Stone from the faraway but so rich with music culture Iceland delivers the stunning uplifting euphoric trance Aeris and as the title suggests is a powerful euphoric hands in the air trancer that will move even mountains so expect the dancefloor to erupt. The production is well focused with the codes and conventions of uplifting trance respected with intresting twists that come of course from Johann's experience in producing explosive big room bangers. The bassline is energetic and driving but with that big room feel to it while the pounding drums are fast and furius to make the crowd go mad. Sub bass, distorted pitched vocal sample throughout and epic synthy hooks along with acid layers lead the track to its massive breakdown. You can expect cinematic strings and emotional melodies that will raise the hair from your back and if you close your eyes you can even create your own epic film with a little help from your imagination and without big budgets. The climax is straight to the point with epic anthemic strings and fluorescent synths along with the strange pitched vocal and heavy doses of acid layers. On Thursday 29th of January 2015 Armin van Buuren celebrates the 700th episode of his weekly radio show ‘A State of Trance’ and is handing over control of the episode to his fans. Over the past few weeks, listeners were asked to submit a voice recording of themselves introducing a favorite track for the show. The two-hour show, which will be broadcast tonight worldwide between 20:00 and 22:00 and on Friday on Radio 538 in the Netherlands from 23:00 to 01:00, will have been created entirely by the hands of the A State of Trance fans.

The radio show this Thursday is just the first part in a series of celebrations. Next week, Armin will start a new tour called “Together in A State of Trance”, a theme that has been chosen to involve the fans as much as possible in the tour. The tour will take the ‘A State Of Trance Festival’ to continents around the globe. So doing, Armin van Buuren will become the first DJ to have his own festival. It promises to be the biggest trance festival tour in history.

The Celebration Weekend of the 700th episode of his A State of Trance radio show will be held in Australia: on February 6th in Sydney and February 7th in Melbourne. The show in Sydney will be broadcast live via the A State of Trance radio show. Once again, the listener will have a role in the show: They will have the chance to interview artists during the first ‘A State Of Trance’ Festival by submitting questions via: www.bitly.com/asot700au

On February 21st, Armin will proudly host his only European A State of Trance Festival, organized at the Jaarbeurs in Utrecht. The show will be followed on April 11th by a show in Buenos Aires. A State of Trance will also have an internship during Ultra Music Festival in Miami, on March 29th. More tour dates will be announced soon.

Just for the ‘A State of Trance Festival’ world tour, Armin has also created a theme track called ‘Together (In A State Of Trance)’. Along with 6 remixes, the single ‘Together (In A State Of Trance)’ will be available via all music download and streaming services and physically on CD.

Dimitri Kechagias review: The eagerly awaited event A State Of Trance Festival has its own official anthem produced by the legend and huge supporter of Trance Armin van Buuren. Together(In A State Of Trance) is the absolute winter trance anthem and already reach the number 1 position at beatport trance chart. Now the package is complete with not one or two but six brilliant remixes produced by the finest talents in the trance scene at the moment. First of all Alexander Popov from Russia transforms the original into his own big room / mainstage trance vision with heavy drum programming, sharp in your face electro inspired basslines, chopped vocal samples and great recreation of the main theme with electro inspired synthy hooks and intense build up that leads to an impressive full on hands in the air tech trance infused drop perfect to jump around. Bryan Kearny who had the honour to get selected from ASOT listeners as the top remixer of the year with his Gareth Emery remix landing at the top of the ASOT Top 20 for 2014 list. Finally ReOrder & Standerwick presents SkyPatrol Remix complete the package in truly uplifting feel good style with driving energetic basslines, metallic cranking kicks and colourful fluorescent synths to keep you floating and flowing around in a state of trance with added emotional sensitivity! Dimitri Kechagias review: ASOT Festival is the brand new concept which Armin van Buuren and his creative team at ALDA events currently are working hard to prepare for the celebrations of the 700 episodes of his world known radio show ASOT and tour with it all over the world to spread the message of unity, friendship and love against the dark backdrop of conflicts, upheavals and unrest. The whole idea is to set up a brand new show that will be hard for your eyes and ears to believe and will be the finest way to celebrate our common passion for Trance. ASOT Festival anthem is produced by Armin van Buuren himself and that adds special importance to the brand new Festival format that is anticipated from thousands of fans all over the world.  Together (In A State Of Trance) is the title and you can expect one of the biggest trance anthems for 2015.
