Dimitri Kechagias review: The eagerly awaited event A State Of Trance Festival has its own official anthem produced by the legend and huge supporter of Trance Armin van Buuren. Together(In A State Of Trance) is the absolute winter trance anthem and already reach the number 1 position at beatport trance chart. Now the package is complete with not one or two but six brilliant remixes produced by the finest talents in the trance scene at the moment. First of all Alexander Popov from Russia transforms the original into his own big room / mainstage trance vision with heavy drum programming, sharp in your face electro inspired basslines, chopped vocal samples and great recreation of the main theme with electro inspired synthy hooks and intense build up that leads to an impressive full on hands in the air tech trance infused drop perfect to jump around. Bryan Kearny who had the honour to get selected from ASOT listeners as the top remixer of the year with his Gareth Emery remix landing at the top of the ASOT Top 20 for 2014 list. Bryan injects the original with his powerful slamming metallic basslines, techy throbbing grooves and excellent application of the main theme excellently reshaped and remodelled to achieve his goal that is to bring the ultimate satisfaction on the listeners. His drop is dark, moody, tech trance meets psy trance perfect for those underground difficult to please trance fans. David Gravell continues his pathway to glory with his stunning recreation. His version is what modern trance is all about with electro and progressive house elements. Mainstage trance sound that crashes, booms, and bangs widely. His version is fun to listen, fun to dance, fun to enjoy in your car in full volume. His breakdown with that classic vintage romantic bells sound works like a treat along with the magnificent full on headbanging climax where Dave adds his signature aggressive in your face sound. Faruk Sabanci from Turkey is on board as well. His version is slowly cooking the tension and builds the enjoyment with acid overtones, weird sci-fi noises and slightly distorted take on the original melody. Don't touch your stereo system there is nothing wrong with that. Faruk just decided to add a new perspective and the result is mindblowing particularly his synths are top notch. The climax is rocking edgy trance at its most effective. Mark Sherry is well known for his tech trance sound and in his remix he applied it wonderfully. This version will be adored from those who like it darker, moodier and no holes barred. His breakdown takes advantage of the original themes and exploit them in great detail while his drop continues on the dark side with less melody more bass power. Finally ReOrder & Standerwick presents SkyPatrol Remix complete the package in truly uplifting feel good style with driving energetic basslines, metallic cranking kicks and colourful fluorescent synths to keep you floating and flowing around in a state of trance with added emotional sensitivity!
