REVIEW: Scorpius - Humanity out on Melancholy records

Melancholy stalwart Scorpius returns to the label to continue his impressive string of releases, 'Humanity' provides further evidence that Scorpius is an ever-present figure in the land of the progressive. 'Humanity' offers Scorpius trademark ear for beautifully progressive sounds featuring an impressive breakdown alongside warm pads. Yet another stand-out release from the Scorpius. Release include remixes from Brazig and Grafter.

Dimitri Kechagias review: Melancholy records strike it lucky with the high class release by Scorpius called Humanity. The original mix is supported by two alternative remixes. The original mix is a big room mainstage trancer on the style championed by Armin van Buuren. The groove is thumping and slamming, the electroish bassline is wild and furious while the breakdown includes one of the most epic orchestral classical music melody that creates that cinematic atmosphere followed by great mixture of dubstep and melodramatic classical music originated elements along with opera influenced vocals followed by massive distorted rave style synthy lead until to reach the climax that is dynamic, stereo cranking and full on with epic euphoric synths and  huge classical originated strings that sound perfect in the middle of the dancefloor at the mainstage of large festivals. Brazig remix  has similar sound to the original with long breakdown that takes a while to develop and without hurry allows the exceptional epic themes to take flesh and bones. The climax is powerful and euphoric as we loved it to be. Lastly Grafter remix is moving on the warm deep melodic progressive trance sound that is floating and blissful with luscious electronic melodies, epic colourful synths and fantastic new theme in the breakdown characterised from the emotional piano melody followed by the full on euphoric climax with synthy stabs and confident playful warm grooves. #PureGold Love It
