1. Disconnected (Original Mix)
Another dream team’s giving sound to the summer of 2013. Italian producer Antillas re-unites with singer/songwriter Fiora Cutler, providing a highly anticipated follow-up to ‘Damaged’. In collaboration with Italy’s rising talent Vitodito, they bring the smashingly energetic ‘Disconnected’!
At the final stages of producing his artist album, Antillas makes the sounds of electro, house and trance join forces in one, all-destroying record. It breaks the barriers, impossible to pigeonhole, triggering the mind to go with its contagious flow.
Fiora’s distinctive vocals, as heard on the records of Armin van Buuren, Moguai, Erick Morillo and many more, bring out the light of this dark, tainted but incredibly smooth monster of a tune. ‘Disconnected’.
Dimitri Kechagias review: Trice! recordings loves to surprise us and this time returns with another really unique and stand out tune that you don't expect to get on this label. The top producer Antillas teams up with the rising talent Vitodito and the fantastic Fiora for Disconnected. Its not very easy to categorise the track as it includes influences from breakbeat to dubstep and electro house. The result of putting all these into one melting pot is a very energetic tune with pure, real and clear head banging power. I can imagine particularly USA audiences who search for rough and raw basslines and dirty smashing beats will adore it straight away. It starts with breaks intro that becomes heavier with cool vocal samples like "action", "perfect beat". Slowly the melodies are coming and you feel the emotional touch and cinematic atmosphere that elevates the track to the next level. The real star here is Fiora who has the amazing talent to perform her vocals in a such exceptional way that gives real life to the situations that she describes in her lyrics. In other words you identify with her and you feel disconnected and lost in music. The track continues in a rough rocking way and it finishes with cool break beat. Its perfect to use it as an intro track in your set and build it up with the rest of your tunes. Of course djs who play nu rave/bass music can easily play it in their sets with brilliant results. Lets hope very soon the big room house or even trance remixes will be added for the big masses to enjoy. Love IT!
