Originally from Slovakia, Nifra is a Netherlands-based producer touted as a global ambassador for trance music—and yet she continues to reach new horizons with her cutting-edge combination of rave and mainstage techno. Hailing from London, Sarah de Warren is an acclaimed songstress and producer whose influence on techno and trance music has been evident over the last decade. The two prominent figures are reconvening to release their new single, serving as the last lead single from the highly anticipated '10 Years of Dreamstate' compilation album.

"On Repeat" is a mesmerizing track anchored to the confluence of their shared backgrounds, merging uplifting trance euphoria with techno rave energy. Warren's charming vocal incantations create a hook that could loop for all eternity, with her deeper notes sidechained to the pulsating groove, while modulating triplets and piercing rave stabs lead into an infectious hard bounce climax.

[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]Nifra and Sarah de Warren’s collaborative track “On Repeat,” released via Dreamstate Records as part of the 10 Years of Dreamstate compilation, is a masterclass in modern trance-techno hybrid production. The track operates at a driving 145 BPM, blending euphoric trance elements with high-energy techno and nu-rave influences, creating a sonic experience designed for peak festival hours. Sarah de Warren’s ethereal vocal line functions as both a melodic anchor and an evolving texture, sidechained against the rhythmic pulse to integrate seamlessly with the track’s percussive foundation. The sound design in “On Repeat” demonstrates meticulous attention to layering and spatial imaging. Sidechain compression is expertly utilized, allowing the kick and bass to dominate without muddying the midrange where Sarah’s vocals and synth arpeggios reside. The modulating triplets and piercing rave stabs are processed through a combination of stereo widening and subtle reverb tails, enhancing the immersive quality of the mix. Transitions between breakdowns and drops are executed with filtered sweeps and risers, supported by glitchy percussive fills that maintain forward momentum. The drop structure shows precise automation in EQ and dynamics, ensuring that the hard bounce climax lands with maximum impact while preserving dynamic headroom. From a psychological and wellness perspective, “On Repeat” provides substantial benefits. Up-tempo, rhythmically consistent electronic music has been linked to improved mood and cognitive performance in scientific studies (Thoma et al., 2013). The 145 BPM tempo aligns closely with optimal heart rate zones for cardio-based fitness activities, making the track effective for spin classes, HIIT workouts, and dance-based wellness sessions (Karageorghis & Priest, 2012). Moreover, trance music’s repetitive melodic structures and harmonic progressions can induce a flow state, reducing stress and fostering mindfulness during physical and mental exercises. Research into music therapy and exercise psychology consistently highlights that high-energy electronic music improves endurance, motivation, and perceived exertion levels. The entrainment of brainwave activity to rhythmic auditory cues has been observed to enhance focus and reduce fatigue (Bood et al., 2013). Sarah de Warren’s vocals—soothing yet energizing—can stimulate dopamine release, contributing to an elevated emotional state while also aiding in stress reduction. #PureGold Love IT[/content]
