Compilation News: 10 Years of Dreamstate: A Celebration of California’s Premier Trance Festival

Every November, trance fans from around the globe gather in California for Dreamstate, a festival dedicated to euphoric melodies and pulse-pounding beats. In honor of its 10th anniversary, Dreamstate has released an exclusive compilation, “10 Years of Dreamstate”, capturing the essence of the festival’s journey through a carefully curated selection of tracks from some of the most iconic artists in the scene.

Opening the collection with a festival-defining statement, “Is This Only a Dream? (A Dreamstate Anthem) Festival Mix” by Aly & Fila and Paul van Dyk immediately sets the tone. Its soaring synths and driving 142 BPM rhythm embody the euphoric energy fans expect under the California night sky.

Nifra teams up with Sarah De Warren on “On Repeat (Extended Mix)”, a vocal trance gem that balances intensity and emotion perfectly, invoking the feeling of dancing into the early morning hours. Paul Oakenfold, a legend of the genre, brings a more classic touch with “Viola (Original Mix)”, at a slower 128 BPM, giving listeners a chance to breathe while staying in the trance flow.

The compilation also nods to the modern festival main stage with Giuseppe Ottaviani and Darren Porter’s “Keep Your Dreams Alive (Extended Mix)”, an uplifting track that encapsulates the festival’s message. Ilan Bluestone and Stoneblue carry the momentum forward with “The Land of Nanisa (Extended Mix)”, a B minor masterpiece full of emotional melodies and festival-ready drops.

Other highlights include Orjan Nilsen, Mark Sixma, and nilsix’s “Blast from the Past (Intro Mix)”, a nostalgic yet forward-driving cut, and Taylor Torrence’s “Collide (Extended Mix)”, which radiates a bright, euphoric energy. For fans of the festival’s harder edge, David Forbes and Key4050 deliver a relentless remix with “Cisza (Extended Remix)”, while Mark Sherry partners with Forbes for “This Is the Phuture (Extended Mix)”, pushing the BPM into peak-time territory.

Closing out the compilation, Jordan Suckley’s “I’ve Got The Key (Extended Mix)” and Fish56octagon’s “Let U Know (Extended Mix)” serve as late-night anthems, perfect for that final surge of adrenaline before the lights dim and the festival’s tenth year comes to a close.

Altogether, “10 Years of Dreamstate” is more than a compilation—it’s a sonic journey through the past decade of the festival, a love letter to the trance community, and an invitation to keep dreaming as the festival continues to grow.
