NICK HOLLYSTER , is from the French capital city, Paris. He discovered electronic music in 1999 at the age of 14, thanks to his friends back in Paris who brought him to all the best underground parties like Batocool at Batofar and also the Freak n' Chic parties or the monthly night at Rex Club called Bass Culture, with dj's like D'julz ,Dan Ghenacia ,T.E.R.R.Y , W.A.R.R.I.O , to name a few.
Shortly after, Nick Hollyster bought a pair of turntables and a mixer and started to practice home alone. After 2 years Nick Hollyster started spinning in small clubs & bars in Paris and his provinces for many years. But that was not enough Nick Hollyster wanted to get his very own touch on his music so the next step was to start producing. This happened two years ago when he moved to Valencia,Spain. His music is at the crossing of House and deep techno with strong funk influences.
For the release of „BE FREE“ he got together with ROBON ORLANDO, this collab does work. Solid in every aspect.
Package is rounded up with Remixes by our youngster ALEX CVETKOV and FLINSCH, his next release on BluFin is in the starting blocks.
We are very excited about what mix will run the mach ? Let us know ...
Dimitri Kechagias review: Yellow Tail presents one of the hottest anthems in Ibiza this summer. Meet the very talented producer Nick Hollyster who collaborates with Robon Orlando for the majestic deep melodic house anthem Be Free. The focus of the track is the magnificent vocal sample that invite all people to come together united and Be Free. The message is supported by deep basslines, chunky groove, guitar riffs, piano chords and cinematic strings. The result is a wonderful balearic journey that persuades the listeners to let the differences collapse and come closer together. Shades on the other side is a darker deep house instrumental groover with funky basslines, soulful edges and balearic atmosphere. When you hear it you imagine yourself in a beach bar dancing with hands in the air! The remixes on Be Free are very cool indeed with Alex Cvetkov servicing his deep emotional house version with old school groove and moody basslines while on top cinematic strings, retro melodies and sunkissed synths creating the very smooth, calm and totally refreshing sound that can heal the pain and make the magic and bring together people of all colours on the dancefloor. Flinsch presents two translations. The Sun remix is the more upfront and optimistic version where he adopts his electro chunky groove, deep driving bassline and with Giorgio Moroder synths on top he builds an exceptional melodic, dreamy, danceable and very spacey version that is tailor made for late night sets in Ibiza. Lastly Flinsch Dark remix is darker version with darker sinister synths along with moody haunting basslines and superb arrangement that keep the dancefloor united with hands in the air and will easily crossover to deep psy trance or even progressive house sets for djs like Danny Tenaglia. Close your eyes, press play and imagine our common conquest for freedom! #PureGold Love iT
