REVIEW: Helmut Dubnitzky - Deep Blue out on Yellow Tail / BluFin Records

Mountain climbing is one of Helmut Dubnitzky’s extravagant hobbies, part of his imprint as a DJ emerging from the foothills of the German Black Forest more than a decade ago.

Obviously a climber cannot rest for long. Helmut Dubnitzky wants to carry out his definition of groove. To him it means rhythm and deep, deep bass. For this reason, he founded his own label Brise Records in 2009.

His latest Release on Yellow Tail is a bit back -Play & Sing EP in 2010. We are more than happy to have him back here.

Monster 3 Tracker EP – a high climber for sure ...it’s Helmut Dubnitzky !!!

Welcome 2014 !!!

Dimitri Kechagias review: Yellow Tail is one of the finest  record labels with highly eclectic output so far like the latest fantastic EP  by Helmut Dubnitzky with the brilliant title Deep Blue. The title track of the EP is a wonderful deep melodic hypnotic techno gem with great percussion, tribal drum beats, deep funky basslines and synthy melodies that create an exceptional result that make you dream of seashores, crashing waves and relaxing lazy sunny summer days. Dust in The Sky is moving on the same deep tech house territory with groovy basslines, danceable rhythm and quite cold synthy lines that create the dark and gloomy atmosphere. Helmut adds in his tracks natural sound effects that reconnect us with nature and remind us to never forget where we come from. Last track is Indigo Sky that is absolutely mesmerising. Deep soulful tech house anthem with great tribal drums, colourful synthy melodies, spoken vocal samples and floating relaxing feel to it. Its the type of track that you dance with closed eyes in the middle of the dancefloor and let your body flow with the music without any fears or inhibitions. Positive vibes that inspire and awake our imagination and give us indescribable mind sensations. Love IT
