It’s not the first time we work with Matthew Hoag, born and raised in a pocket sized Slovenia and lived for a while in a cosmopolitan New York. His last Release on YT has been a few years ago „ A Lot „ in 2011 was out with an amazing Remix by Alexander Maier .
Also Matthew has done some great work for our subdivision Takt Records, over all this time we never loose contact, what is now-a-days so rarely.
No question that we support his new project, we agree with Mathew that electronic dance music should be an expression of heart, not mind.
We follow Matthew’s inspiration for the Album: is life itself, the album is his ode to the life he lives, it is based on the colors of life, why we are here on earth and what is our mission. You will be able to hear all the different voices that embrace life itself, why we are here and what makes this journey so unique and lovable.
I wanted to show to the world my vision of this experience called life.
Dimitri Kechagias review: The high quality record label Yellow Tail delivers another must have album that will be noted as one of the best for 2014 for electronic dance music. The journey starts with Make you Wonder that is an interesting electro pop meets tech house production with catsy synthy melody and danceable groove. On The Way To Go is a playful relaxing track with electro influences and nice retro elements that make it actually quite romantic and sweet. Very colourful and inspiring will send shivers all over your body. New Horizon is much more energetic affair. You can call it melodic techno with balearic summery feel to it. It makes you want to pack your bag and go for holidays. Simplicity is very upbeat and upfront as well and sounds the perfect track to put in your alarm and wake you up with optimism, hope and simplicity every day. Purity starts with a nice ambient intro and some cool synthy rays. The main body of the track is deep and driving with moments of excitement that rejuvenate your soul. You can define it as minimal trance. In The State starts equally with ambient intro and continues with breaks style main section that is very airy and spacious. Techno meets liquid drum n bass maybe can be an appropriate description. The Pyramid Of Love is the playful track that gave the name on the album. It has the balearic feel with sunny reggae kind of rhythm. You just wait from somewhere to hear Bob Marley. Lastly Ono is an exceptional track that includes stunning female vocals upon the minimal beats, the deep basslines, the soulful piano chords and hypnotic synths. Tripping and very inspiring track that will be appreciated by friends of ethnic music, deep trance and melodic techno as well. Highly recommended. Love iT
