REVIEW: Formal One & DoubleV - Black Hawk out on IHU Records / Armada Music

1. Black Hawk (Original Mix)

IHU Records makes a memorable kick-off with the pounding sounds of ‘Black Hawk’.

Label-owner Antillas quickly spotted the talents of Moldavian producers Formal One and DoubleV, coming up with this dark edged piece of energy.

Dimitri Kechagias review: Armada Music welcomes a new member in its expanding record labels family. The latest member is IHU Records that is the record label of the Italian Antillas who always impress us with his excellently produced tracks. As first release on his label choose the tailor made for mainstage dj sets banger called Black Hawk and produced from the very talented and quickly rising Formal One & DoubleV. Both producers are well known in the trance scene in particular but on this one they deliver a hybrid of festival house and big room trance that is very bouncy, hard hitting and you guessed it right absolutely maddening. Super tough beats, razorsharp hard style aggressive basslines, acid touches and superb breakdown that reveals a lovely sweety electronic melody just before the huge synths come to the front and soon the beat strikes back with a vengeance for a very playful Animals like sequence with little electronic melody upon hard hitting beats with nice uplifting crowd shouts as well. The second breakdown without delays reveals the euphoric synths and take us on board for the final hardstyle / hardcore influenced climax that some call drop. Its functional and can do the damage in the summer festivals and big room clubs. Good Luck to Antillas and Armada Music for this new label on the block. Love IT
