As ‘Wakanda’ further secures its place in dance music history (officially named the most played track of Ultra Music Festival 2013) and ‘Mammoth’ smashed all records with an incredible FOUR weeks at the #1 spot on the Beatport Charts, the Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike rollercoaster ride shows no signs of slowing down… if anything, the pace is increasing! First of all the dynamic duo confirm what the Internet is already ablaze with – their incredible incarnation as the world’s newest super heroes! Immortalised in the upcoming four-part Tomorrowland comic book series, created by ID&T and Titan Comics, written by Eisner Award winning scribe Paul Jenkins (Spider-Man, Darkness, Inhumans, Wolverine: Origin, Batman) and inked by the art team at Stellar Labs (Hulk, Superman, Power Girl, Cyber-Force, Heavy Metal), Dimitri and Mike will battle to save the vital spark of creativity from evil forces hell-bent on destroying it.
What is more Friday (April 5th), the highly acclaimed Smash The House Radio Show finally makes its long awaited return! The 60 minute show promises to be a sure fire hit with fans, packed to bursting point with brand new music, major remixes and those highly explosive track selections Dimitri and Mike are increasingly world-renowned for. The show will be broadcast weekly on the planet’s foremost broadcasters – to find out when and where you can tune in, keep an eye on Dimitri and Mike's Facebook fan page www.facebook.com/dimitrivegasandlikemike.
On the releases front April 9th, through Tiësto’s Musical Freedom Records, ‘Turn It Up’, the highly anticipated next track from the brothers co-produced with GTA and featuring Smash The House label protégées Wolfpack, finally sees the light of day. Available exclusively on Beatport until April 23rd – when the single will be unleashed to the rest of the downloading world – ‘Turn It Up’ has already seen massive support on the A-list elite DJ circuit, with early plays coming in from Hardwell, Steve Angello, Sebastian Ingrosso, Afrojack, Dada Life, Chuckie, R3hab, Laidback Luke, Bob Sinclar and, unsurprisingly, Tiësto himself.
If it seems that Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike are blowing up all over the place right now, then you’d be 100% correct. Deservedly scooping the award for ‘Breakthrough DJs’ at this year’s IDMA show during Miami Music Week, clocking almost 1.2 million fans on their Facebook page, currently touring in Mexico with a huge Brazilian tour on the horizon and securing their place as one of the most in-demand acts in global electronic music today, things only look set to become even more explosive for the duo as the rest of 2013 unrolls.
