REVIEW: Mark Burton - Understatement incl Danny Powers remix out on NuDepth recordings

1-Original mix
2-Paul Pearson remix
3-Danny Powers remix

Dropping a monster of a track on his debut on nu-depth recordings is Northern Ireland's Mark Burton. 'Understatement' has already been causing a stir on the trance circuit after being picked up by Armin Van Buuren and featuring on his Universal Religion 6 compilation.

The Vandit regular really does go to town with the original mix, as this a full blooded euphoric affair with an exceptional melody and absolutely banging groove thanks to the tight sitting bassline. Mark is really starting to curve his sound within the trance community and this track is bang on the money.

Paul Pearson is a resident for Digital Society, one of the biggest trance nights in the UK. He has only recently started dipping his toes into production and after this progressive trance version, you will certainly be hoping for a lot more. One for the future!

Label boss Danny Powers goes right for the jugular with his version; this is a slab of hard as nails tech-trance while still keeping the original vibe of the melody for the break down, before unleashing into an acid frenzy. You have been warned!

Dimitri Kechagias review: The excellent uplifting trance provider Nu-depth recordings returns with the release of the high quality uplifting club trancer Understatement by Mark Burton. The track is well known because of Armin's support in his show, sets and well known compilation Universal Religion. The original mix is a full on euphoric club trancer that is straight to the point, without experimentation and new elements from different genres. It follows the codes and conventions on how an uplifting trance track should be with magnificent melodic theme in the breakdown and massive hands in the air euphoric climax. It has the needed flow and tight construction in order to take you by the hand and help you fly with your imaginative wings. Paul Pearson strips down the original to it basics and deliver a balearic progressive trance makeover with chunky groovy beats, playful electro kissed basslines and euphoric synthy stabs that lead the track to its epic proglifting climax. Lastly the label boss Dany Powers service a rougher, harder, bouncier and more underground UK trance style. His beats are thumping, the bassline is thunderous and the acid layer is thick and accountable. Of course the breakdown is a big highlight on this remix. It is long with heavy beat and bassline drops and massive synths that perform the full on euphoric theme. When the beat returns the track goes wild with tech trance sound and  focus on the bassline. Club and festival  crowd pleaser, Don't miss the whole package, Love iT!
