Childhood friends and LA based duo, NIIKO X SWAE, spent their early days learning to produce and dreaming of pioneering a new lane in House Music. Flash forward to today, NIIKO X SWAE have become regulars in dance music, recently releasing their major collaboration with Nicky Romero called 'Easy'. The single has amassed over 3 million cross-platform streams to date, with over 14 New Music Friday's and placements on Happy Beats, Dance Party, Power Hour, DanceXL, and more. Beyond this collab, NXS' debut 'Field Trip' EP has tallied over 3 million streams since its release with the focus single, ‘I Ain’t Going Home’ charting on the Billboard Dance Airplay chart after receiving airplay from BPM, Music Choice, Evolution and more.
Furthermore, the Tao Las Vegas residents, have become a staple to any successful remix package, releasing remixes for Bebe Rexha, Armin Van Buuren, Mark Tuan and more. NIIKO X SWAE's Sacrifice remix for Bebe Rexha has seen a multitude of success, topping 4 million streams since its release. We gave away real stars in the sky as part of a pre-save contest and even went to the middle of the desert to film all the content for the release. It was a ton of fun and we were super excited about how everything turned out with that promo campaign!

NIIKO X SWAE: I absolutely love the purple disco machine disco string / stab in all of his songs. It is iconic. Also literally everyone uses kshmr splice samples so we gotta shoutout the edm sample goat KSHMR.

NIIKO X SWAE: Production wise we have just learned to keep things a little more simple. Sample selection is the biggest key. If your samples and sounds are sonically great- there is no need for a ton of post production. Also- sticking to a few plugins that you know inside and out!

NIIKO X SWAE: Be patient when it comes to bookings! Focus on creating the best music possible and the right bookings for you will come with that. You can create more value for yourself by having amazing releases.

Dimitris: In which TV series, film or advert would you like to experience your track being used? Which track was the best placed on films/TV series/advert/official aftermovie of a festival from another artist?
NIIKO X SWAE: We would love to get an apple commercial like odesza did this year with their tune the last goodbye. whenever our songs are in shows like love island though it is always pretty epic and funny
Dimitris: During 2022 we experienced many tracks that were hybrids of music styles & genres. Do believe that music genres or styles are still relevant today?
NIIKO X SWAE: Genres will always be relevant whether we like it or not because we all have a tendency to categorize things. To us, we try not to constrict ourselves to the box of one specific genre when producing, but we do tend to stay in the lane of different house genres. We produce literally everything though for fun from DNB to dub to house to trap, just not everything gets released of course! We also listen to so many different types of music outside of EDM.
Dimitris: Do you have any concrete plans for 2023 regarding future releases, tracks, albums, collaborations, DJ gigs? Please provide us the juicy details.
NIIKO X SWAE: Tons of new music is coming and maybe even our second EP! We plan to ramp up touring even harder too and hit as many places as we can around the country. We also are working on getting into the festival circuit and are going to Canada in March for the first time!
