Dimitris: Your Top 3 biggest music career achievements in 2022:
Davis Mallory: I signed 2 songs to record labels as a solo artist (without collaboration with other DJs): "James Bond" on Warner KnightVision and "Forever Young" on Soave. I had my 2nd song reach 1 million streams on Spotify "Pitter Patter" with Swedish producer KAAG released on Warner Denmark - my first being "Without You I Feel Good" on Soave records. I also wrote new music at Ten Music Group in Stockholm Sweden (home to Zara Larsson & Benjamin ingrosso) as I work towards a new upcoming album.

Davis Mallory: I released a remix EP for my song "The Thrill" and and love the Lionboy Remix of the song co-written with female EDM artists Notelle & Luma. It's an emotional song about falling in love - even though we know relationships can end - we would do it all again for the thrill of it.

Davis Mallory: 2022 took me all over the world DJing starting off in Texas for New Years Eve - 4 different trips to Hawaii - gigs in Miami, Colorado, Arizona and my hometown of Nashville - and I recorded a DJ gig at Amsterdam Dance Event playing only my songs from start to finish. They were all unique and fun in different ways, but the ADE set was a special highlight.

Davis Mallory: I saw many DJs perform this year but preferred Elderbrook's set in Miami the most!

Davis Mallory: The Ultra Music Miami festival footage was awesome - even though I attended Ultra this year - I missed some artists - so it was a great way to see the performances I didn't get to go.

Davis Mallory: I learned some new skills in Amsterdam this year while DJing for Soave Sessions with tricks and working my way around a new board.

Davis Mallory: I have been working in 2022 on my next direction in my musical sound - by working at Ten Music Group in Sweden I've really honed in on a sound I'm proud and excited to release the world and I'm not rushing the music out the door - instead taking my time to find the right partners for the project - I feel my lesson in 2022 was being patient and realizing patience pays off.

Davis Mallory: I traveled a lot in 2022 - visiting the pyramids in Egypt, the islands of Hawaii, Athens Greece, meeting my Swedish cousins for the first time ever - 2022 for me was about traveling and enjoying the beauty on earth.

Davis Mallory: Prince "Kiss" - I definitely dance to it - his music is amazing!
30) From 1 (bad) to 10(super excellent) what is your rate for 2022 in electronic dance music?
Davis Mallory: 10 - I think dance music in 2022 continued to produce amazing melodic music - and I really enjoyed listening to it.
Dimitris: In which TV series, film or advert would you like to experience your track being used? Which track was the best placed on films/TV series/advert/official aftermovie of a festival from another artist?
Davis Mallory: I would love to have my music on TV shows like Love Island or similar tropical reality love shows. I think Harry Styles "Music for a Sushi Restaurant" used in the Apple commercial was brilliant way to launch that single.
Dimitris: During 2022 we experienced many tracks that were hybrids of music styles & genres. Do believe that music genres or styles are still relevant today?
Davis Mallory: I think hybrids are beautiful - there are many latin singles that did super well that I loved like John Summit's "La Danza" for example. I love international music in other languages.
Dimitris: Do you have any concrete plans for 2023 regarding future releases, tracks, albums, collaborations, DJ gigs? Please provide us the juicy details.
Davis Mallory: The album I've been writing in Sweden, I plan to release in 2023. I have DJ gigs booked already in Nashville, Hawaii and Colorado - with plans to DJ more in Vegas & LA in 2023. I Travelled more in 2022 than I ever have in my life though, so I do hope to spend a little more time at home in Nashville than before. I have an upcoming single coming out with Italian movie star / music producer Federico Costantini titled "Anybody" that I'm excited to release soon!
