REVIEW: Talla 2XLC vs. Pay & White - Oldskool out on Coldharbour

He may be a veteran of the scene, but German stalwart Talla 2XLC continues to captivate the modern day trance audience; and in recent times, has harnessed a gathering among the Coldharbour faithful. He teams up with Pay & White to bring a bit of the past into the present, with the aptly titled Oldskool.

This past year has seen Talla forge a bond with Markus Schulz, remixing the Dakota track Mota-Mota, and with Markus receiving the honor of contributing towards the latest edition of Talla's heralded Techno Club CD series in Germany.

It is a relationship that builds further with Oldskool; packed with an abundance of acid house influences from the early to mid 90s, and topped off with some excellent driving tech to get you into the groove. Already getting the nod through Global DJ Broadcast, this is a hands in the air number that will please fans of old and new.

[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]The German influence on what we term as trance has been truly great with Talla 2XLC being one of the biggest and most important figures in the history of the genre. His collaboration with Pay & White is big room mainstage trance but with riffs and hooks coming from the early days of the Frankfurt Trance legacy. Great acid riffs and dark industrial melodies merged and melted perfectly to deliver the stunning out of this world result with climax that will be hard to resist and you can expect stadiums going crazy with it. Superb update of the oldskool German trance flavour for new generations. #PureGold Love IT[/content]
