REVIEW: Forerunners - Lost In Translation / Strange Days out on Pure Trance Progressive

Brenden LaBonte aka Forerunners is a guy who produces lush, majestic & addictive progressive trance music. His back catalogue is gem after gem. All killer – no filler. He totally gets the concept of the ‘slow build’ & how to take the listener on a journey. This release consists firstly of ‘Lost in Translation (Extended Mix) – the full length version of his standout track featured on Solarstone’s Pure Trance Vol. 4, and also the mesmerising ‘Strange Days’. Brenden’s production hinges on hypnotising rhythms and precisely modulated synth patterns & he is clearly one of the best in the business at this. Play loud & understand why.

Dimitri Kechagias review: The best decision from Rich Solarstone was to set up a new sublabel Pure Trance  Progressive that will cater for the deeper atmospheric oriented releases so to allow the main label target the uplifting end of the trance spectrum. The brand new release on the progressive division is the latest EP by Forerunners who has been supported heavily by Rich Solarstone who always appreciated Forerunners eclectic taste and undeniable talent. Firstly the track Lost in Translation is a magnificent dreamy melodic progressive beauty with fantastic addictive synthy riffs along with heavenly voices and exquisite drive and progression that invites you to close your eyes and isolate yourself to do enough soul-searching. Strange Days moves on the same balearic prog trance direction with deep meaningful  synthy lines upon the deep haunting moody dark and cold foundation  of deep basslines and slow tribal pulsating grooves. With house influences but still sounding very trancy and out of the ordinary Strange Days  attempts to make its own personal stamp in this EP that Lost In Translation becomes the main focus point. #PureGold Love It
