REVIEW: Shogun - Abduction out on Armind / Armada Music

1. Abduction (Original Mix)

Having kicked off with a Tune of the Week listing on Armin van Buuren’s A State of Trance show, Shogun’s new tune ‘Abduction’ was given a warm welcome.

This quality production follows up on the American producers’ previous successes, such as ‘Skyfire’, ‘Drop’ and ‘Find Me’, easily finding its way into the hearts of electronic dance music lovers.

Dimitri Kechagias review: The exceptional record label Armind, headed by Armin van Buuren who is nominated for a Grammy Award, presents the brand new club smash by Shogun who rocks this year with his stunning performances on various well known festivals all over the world. Shogun presents his mindblowing Abduction that can be easily described as a hybrid of many sounds and styles but with that touch and sound of Armind and the type of melodies that Armin van Buuren is fond of. It combined elements of electro house with tech and big room trance plus heavy dubstep doses in the breakdown to turn and twist everything around and blow your mind without second or better any thought. Very tough tribal drum beats, heavy spanking kicks, hard and aggressive basslines while on top the orchestral classical music theme makes its short appearance. It has the type of rhythm and groove that is very easy to lock you in its microworld and feel obliged to dance a long with it. Exceptional long breakdown that the Renaissance style melodies, hair raising synths and dubstep rough and heavily distorted sequence is introduced to energise you straight away. The climax is full on euphoric hands in the air trance packed with colourful synths and smashing big room melodies. It will be impossible to stand still even for a second when you beloved dj drop this monster tune. Love iT
