After the huge success of Andains’ ‘You Once Told Me’ there’s now a big remix package available. Zetandel has turned this electronic track into a tune to chill out one whilst Agnelli & Nelson, Faruk Sabanci, Moonbeam and Walsh & McAuley have transformed the track into different variations of trance. Between all these remixes of this big Andain hit, there’s surely one for you!
Despite the modest size of their discography, the history of one of EDM’s greatest cult duos has created quite a few ripples in the industry. "Summer Calling". "Beautiful Things". Just the titles of two tracks, two successive years, two conclusive anthems and ones that masterminded the rocking of countless club floors. That was followed by a recorded-but-never-released long-player, band hiatus, a parting of ways and finally, in 2011, the reunion. All of which has led to the release of their album ‘You Once Told Me’ in 2012.
Dimitri Kechagias review: After long wait the full remix package of the title track of the latest album by Andain You Once Told Me is finally available. The original version is a wonderful blissful relaxing and therapeutic electronic style track with unforgettable vocals and warm melodies perfect for the long winter nights. I spotted Agnelli & Nelson Remix on the Dj Mag cover CD mixed by Richard Durand that included all the latest Black Hole recordings anthems and I was totally blown away. The beloved Irish duo transform the original into an epic hands in the air pure vocal trancer at its most true and honest fashion. Pumping beats, energetic driving basslines, euphoric synths and the unforgettable vocal that shines within the glossy lining that the legendary duo add always in their high class productions. Euphoric, driving and sing a long, the perfect peak time weapon for the Christmas season. The Turkish Faruk Sabanci delivers the Dirty Rock remix that is powerful, energetic and pumping to the core. Heavy dubstep infused basslines and tough drum beats combined with melodic breakdown that incorporates piano melodies and huge distorted in your face basslines. If you play mainstage sets and hybrid style of trance you should consider dropping this banger as often as possible. The beloved Russian duo Moonbeam are on board and they service a magnificent deep haunting remix that is already part of the latest Sied Van Riel, Rielism 2 compilation. Its much more upfront than their usual output with deep driving basslines, haunting cinematic atmosphere and interesting experimentation with spacey melodies and some aggressive edgy elements as well. Its pure class and highly eclectic remix not to be missed. Walsh & McAuley Remix is a full on 9 minutes epic banging trance affair, pure and straight to the point as we always love it to be. Clear, clean melodies, tight and solid beats and driving basslines along with the stunning vocals that appear on the breakdown to wishfully sing a long followed by the huge euphoric synths that drive the track towards the massive hands in the air climax. Last but not least Zetandel well known for the Chill Out masterpieces does magic on this one with breakbeats, piano melodies and heartfelt vocal. The absolute must have remix package for the holidays. Love iT
