Nearly a decade after his last artist album, the underground legend that is The Scumfrog returns.
His roots firmly planted in the underground house scene, the Dutch born producer/DJ brings a new connection between the intangible and deep and the ever-growing movement that is electronic dance music.
‘In Case We’ll All Still Be Here’ is The Scumfrog in full underground swing.
Now that the dance scene is more alive than ever before, New York based producer Jesse Houk shines a new light on the deep, techy sounds of the underground. With more than 15 years of experience, the mastermind behind classics such as ‘The Watersong’ and remixes for the likes of Armin van Buuren, Missy Elliott, New Order, Kylie Minogue and Annie Lennox, is ready to take another deep dive into the journey of music.
All through the sounds of ‘In Case We’ll All Still Be Here’.
Featuring collaborations with Static Revenger, Christian Burns, Vince Elliott, Vassy and of course the remix of Sting's classic ‘If I Ever Lose My Faith In You’, ‘In Case We’ll All Still Be Here’ is the brand new album of The Scumfrog. An eclectic affair that takes you past the entire spectrum of electronic dance music.
Dimitri Kechagias review: The superb artists The Scumfrog presents his brand new LP on the 5 times best Global Dance record label that is Armada Music. His album is cleverly entitled In Case We´Re All Still Here and we deal with one of the best Electronica Deep tech house albums of the year so far. 4 top tracks taken from the high quality album are offered to their extended version for djs pleasure and support on the modern dancefloors. Firstly Frontier Prelude is a really dark and threatening psychedelic track with rocky dark vocals that create a certain atmosphere for the album listener. Great track to open your dj set with it in the finest possible ways. Dubsticles (The Scumfrog vs Christian Burns) is deep playful electronic tech house at its best. Packed with great grooves, funk to die for and some cool Christian Burn's vocal parts to add some emotion and sensitivity to it as well. The excellent recreation of the superb Peter Gabriel & Kate Bush classic Don't Give Up with the lovely Vassy on vocals is included in its brand new Deep Playa Dub version that is an even deeper and smoother version than the original that was released some months before on Pilot6 with bubbly beats, funky basslines, some cool parts of the vocal and melancholic piano melodies. The result is a hypnotic relaxing tripping 10 minutes long abstract remix. Last but not least is Material Favors in its original mix. Its a dark classy trippy mysterious track with relentlessly building beats and rolling basslines with the magnificent dark and sexy vocals by Vince Elliott. Its quite interesting how it manages to reach its big crescendo moment by keeping the audience interest until its last second. Overall is a great sampler of a magnificent album that is highly recommended, Love iT!
