Best of 2012: Graeme Park, The legendary house dj from The North

Name: Graeme Park

Location:
The North

Dimitri: Can you tell us how 2012 has been for the development of your career as a DJ and/or Producer?

Graeme Park: I’ve been celebrating The Haηienda’s 30th Anniversary all year with some amazing gigs in the UK, Europe and around the world.  Considering the club closed its doors in 1997, there is still such a lot of love and support for The Haηienda.  The year ends with me doing a 7 hour set at our annual Christmas party at Sankeys in Manchester on 27th December.

Dimitri: If you look back at 2012, are there any moments in your musical career that you wish you had done differently in order to get a better outcome?

Graeme Park: I wouldn’t change a thing.

Best of 2012 according to Graeme Park

Forever This (Sneak 'Forever' Remix) by Fries & Bridges is such a feel good vibe that samples the addictive guitar riff from Jerry Butler's soul classic "Whatever's Fair" and builds and builds and builds before bringing a smile to your face when the amazing, soaring vocal hits you right between the eyes.  This is what house music is all about.

Many thanks to Graeme Park for his answers, it reminded me my first year in England at Manchester that of course I visited many times the club Hacienda, a real institution in the UK clubbing scene.
