1. Original Mix
2. Q’Bass Remix
Release date: 2012-09-10
Facade releases the brand new single “Melancholia” on the In Trance We Trust imprint.
Especially the DJs that focus on story telling, symphonic live sets with lots of strings and synths, will be mesmerized by the beauty of “Melancholia”. Sporting an elaborately programmed arrangement, Facade drives the listener towards the orchestral break from the very first bass drum that kicks in. With a remarkable tempo switch after that same break, the single itself makes for an interesting mix transition to the next track in your live set.
Q’Bass overhauled the original version and turned it into a more tech aimed beauty with some enticing house and electro hints here and there. Most importantly the touching feel of “Melancholia” remains and will be a sure shot in the clubs.

Dimitri Kechagias review: The legendary trance label ITWT returns with another sure club shaker that has all the needed elements to characterise it as modern trancer that has its roots in the older forms of trance but its definitely is how trance music sounds now with open mind attitude and fresh look on the genre that has been part of our lives nearly 20 years. Facade is an upcoming talent with quality releases on various labels. His ITWT latest release is the brilliant Melancholia and i guess the title refers to the main orchestral theme in the breakdown that sounds really melodramatic and in a way melancholic. The original mix is tough solid and pumping trancer with twisted basslines and great strings upon them that lead us on the huge cinematic dreamy breakdown. Classy piano melody that will bring in your mind a well known piece of classical music. Hair and hands raising moment for sure. After the small moments of relaxation the raw basslines and the demanding parade like techy tribal beats return for the big epic climax that is build up slowly and gradually to a massive crescendo. The united army of trance lovers is ready to fight on the dancefloor! Q-Bass remix goes on the tech trance direction with less of the melodic side and more of the wobbly bouncy beats and sharp and dangerous basslines. If you want something rougher and underground this version will serve your needs well. Top Stuff! Love it!
