REVIEW:Jay Storic - Cry For Mercy EP on Wild/Baroque

1-Cry for Mercy
2-The Descent

First out of the blocks for this year , is this two tracker from Jay Storic.

'Cry For Mercy' is a broody little number, with rolling drums, smooth bass, gliding chords and a male vocal which oozes out of the speaker. This one builds and builds in a deep fashion, until everything opens out into the breakdown.. pretty large!

'The Descent' gets off with a solid beat, and rockin bass combo, sharp rolling percs and snippets of delayed melody, a swaying synth line takes over before darker chords fight into the breakdown.. all very dark & understated .. lovely !

Dimitri Kechagias review: Wild Records is back for 2012 with a beautiful EP that includes two great tracks that both move in and out of the progressive house, tech house and deep trance styles and conventions. If you love to warm up your club followers with deep atmospheric tracks that build and build until to reach a huge climax and then to carry on the same vein this EP includes tracks that will serve your needs perfectly. First of all Cry For Mercy is a deep groovy progressive male vocal beauty that has the mystery and that freshness that progressive lovers always look to find in their music. It will take you on a mindtrip but dont get to this adventure unattended. It can cause serious saviour side effects.  The Descent  reminds me of the good old progressive house of the British originators of the genre. Deep, driving, involving, superb percussion and those little rays of melodies that create a certain atmosphere for sure. Top notch release once again! Like IT!
