ADE 2018: Sugar Factory plays host to Eefje de Visser, Matrixxman, Modeselektor and much more

The venue in the heart of Amsterdam presents a versatile program with club nights, concerts and day events.


The Sugar Factory is a dynamic, open-minded and creative place where club and live music meet. The new artistic direction of the venue was set into motion during the past year and is reflected in this year's ADE program. Have a look at what they have in store for you during this year's ADE.

ADE Live on Wednesday and Thursday | MonkeyTown and more
Wednesday kicks off with the first night of ADE LIVE. The Mauskovic Dance Band, XOA and Diron Animal will launch the festival week with a mix of afro-disco, funk and electronics. Following up is  The Classic Music Company where Honey Dijon, Elis Escobar, label owner Luke Solomon and others make their appearances.

Thursday evening will once again be the stage for ADE LIVE, with a live solo show by Eefje de Visser, Haiku Hands, and Soulwax-protegee WWWater. In the night, Modeselektor will drop by with a selection of artists from the Monkeytown Records and SSPB Records roster including Fjaak, Redshape [live] and more. 

Morning music and evening concerts
The festivities of the Sugar Factory will continue on Friday morning with collective De Fabriek, who have invited the label Lobster Theremin. Insomnia takes over the night and morning with a 14-hour event, with Answer Code Request, Cynthia Spiering, Etapp Kyle, Matrixxman and many more acts take the stage.

On ADE Saturday Kraak & Smaak will showcase their eclectic sound, live on stage with a full band and vocalists. Following up is the Rekids label night by Radio Slave, where Chicago house blended with techno, broken funk and more will highlight the Sugar Factory.

On Sunday, there will be another opportunity to dance for breakfast with Hypercolour & friends including Danny Daze, Skee Mask, Mor Elian and the Zenker Brothers among others. The end of ADE 2018 at the Sugarfactory will be taken care of by Wicked Jazz Sounds, with performances by Pomrad and AliA from Belgium. They will be supported by resident DJ Phil Horneman and various other live musicians.
