REVIEW: Robbie van Doe - The Evil EP out on Mental Asylum

Label favourite Robbie van Doe returns to Mental Asylum with his latest EP. As the name suggest this EP is not for the faint hearted.

Both tracks deliver huge amounts of driving bass, energetic acid and gripping melodies in a delightfully evil combination. This is an EP where both tracks deliver 100% with neither "Depravity" or "Malevolent" lacking in any department

[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]The upcoming and quickly rising talent Robbie van Doe presents two immense tech trance bombs under the title EVIL EP on Mental Asylum. Depravity is highly energetic bouncer with hard metallic basslines, pounding tough drums and superb intensity. Acid overtones are added and the game gets harder. The breakdown is cinematic with airy pads and calming soft melodies followed by huge euphoric synthy riffs that explode out of any proportions.  The climax is dark, wild and freaked out with plenty of acid lines. Malevolent is equally tough with different rhythm and groove with the breakdown being cinematic and dreamy with huge euphoric synthy lines with interesting spoken vocal samples that create the dark atmosphere. The climax is full on and headbanging with certain Dj Scot Project influence in it. From the two Malevolent sounds irresistibly devilish. #PureDarkness [/content]
