REVIEW: Giuseppe Ottaviani - Crossing Lights out on Subculture / Black Hole recordings

1. Original Mix

Being one of the absolute highlights on the forthcoming Subculture The Residents: Volume Two, Giuseppe Ottaviani's Crossing Lights is one of those tracks which stands out by sheer originality. Finding his inspiration after actually sampling the crossing lights when on tour in Australia, Giuseppe created a techtrance tune which brings out the tougher side of the Italian maestro. Though resonating some of the classic techno in its production, Crossing Lights is a track for the here and now. Essential.

Dimitri Kechagias review: The music on Subculture recordings is truly underground and when you put in your basket tunes by the top Irish label you are left assured that your crowd will go ballistic about them. Latest big success of the label is the superb Crossing Lights by the always adventurous Giuseppe Ottaviani. On this track Giuseppe proves that he moves against the grain and he takes risks. He knows that he will disappoint his uplifting followers but the truly openminded trancers will fall in love with this powerstormer. Sharp edgy basslines, bouncy pounding drums that bring havoc and hysteria and superb electro synthy little hook that will make you wonder if is your phone that is ringing in the breakdown. Clever creative ups and downs make this track an intense ride that sometimes is so adrenaline charged that you may cross with red lights but you can easily guess the consequences. #PureDarkness. Love it
