REVIEW: Super8 & Tab with 7 Skies - Rubicon (The Remixes) out on Anjunabeats

An immediate dance floor favourite since its debuted at Above & Beyond's Group Therapy 100 celebrations, "Rubicon" from Super8 & Tab and 7 Skies now sees 3 fresh reworks.

With his Positronic label continuing to grow in stature, label favourite James Cayzer aka Jaytech returns home with a sweeping synth heavy remix. One of the most polished producers on the scene, Jimbo's trademark nu-disco piano adds warmth to the original breakdown, before a thundering percussion led climax.

A blast from the past, Orkidea's uptempto psy-trance rework is a pulsating affair; a hypnotic groove and driving low end giving that classic Goa throwback feel.

The latest in a long line of Finnish faces to appear on the label, Helsinki native Yotto makes his Anjuna debut with a deep progressive mix. Having caught the ear of label A&Rs with his stylish take on Pierce Fulton's "Kuaga", Yotto's laid-back beach house flavour echoes the sounds of EDX and 16 Bit Lolitas - an exciting prospect for the future.

Dimitri Kechagias review: Anjunabeats return with the excellent remix package of the anthem Rubicon by Super8 & Tab with 7 Skies. The original was awesome that you may wonder if the remixes can do good justice on it and the truth is that Anjunabeats officers commissioned the most appropriate producers who came up with the goods. First of all the beloved Jaytech does his best to add depth and crunchy prog house grooves with deeper pulsating basslines while the massive classical music theme in the breakdown is present and of course the clever Australian applies in the most effective way the uplifting euphoric synths that will blow your mind. Orkidea is well known for his pure progressive trance sound that is electronic and psy trance infused as well. In my opinion his style is the closest that you can get nowadays on that classic 2000 trance sound. The breakdown is long and impressive with airy pads and warm synths that is haunting and mysterious. The massive colourful euphoric synthy hook is present and when it comes in the surface you can not stop smiling and feeling very happy. Of course Orkidea continues  to deliver stunning compositions like this one that any trance lover will fall in love without hint of compromise in order to sound trendy. Last but not least Yotto moves on the deep trance direction with strong percussion, aggressive haunting moody basslines, dark industrial synths without any hint  of the original euphoric synthy theme. The result is a marvellous deep magical melodic and mysterious journey into the unknown. #PureGold Love It
