REVIEW: Liam Wilson & Will Atkinson - The Hurricane incl Peter Hulsmans Remix on Discover records

It's been a whirlwind of a year for Liam Wilson. With the release of his Underground Anthems mix album earlier this Summer, Liam also found the time to collaborate with another of Trance's finest producers, Will Atkinson, on this spectacular force of nature - 'The Hurricane'.Wilson and Atkinson's original version has an intense kind of rhythm truly befitting of the Discover name. It's brazen and tactful in the same space - watch out for that breakdown!

Peter Hulsmans' remix is a truly haunting spin on the original which feels further ominous in his 'Aggressive Intro Storm'. The 'Club Storm' omits the longer introduction in favour of cutting straight to the point.

Dimitri Kechagias review: Liam Wilson is definitely one of those producers that had an amazing year with big success and recognition of his talent. His latest track Hurricane is a collaboration with the Scottish producer the unstoppable Will Atkinson. It appeared on Liam's successful compilation and now gets its deserved full release. The original mix is an amazing uplifting trancer of the highest calibre with tough drum beats, driving dynamic basslines and stunning breakdown that starts with ambient music that relax the senses and then the huge synths erupt to energise the trancefloor and tease the clubbers for the climax that comes with big bang for sure. Pure hands in the air euphoria with nice trancy voices on top and memorable melodic themes that instantly make you feel good. On top the warm piano chords make the emotional impact even bigger and more profound. Peter Hulsmans is on board with two remixes. The intro remix includes a huge atmospheric introduction that will be perfect to start your uplifting trance set with it and create that spacey hypnotic trance mood. The main part is very solid and tight with chunky groovy beats and energetic basslines  that unmistakeably push the proceedings forward ever backward never. The melodic breakdown is very emotional, balearic, cinematic and heartfelt and evocative as well. His climax is quite techy and aggressive but very soon the melodic layers like synths and old school piano riffs are coming on board for a very floating and spacious sparkling journey. If you follow Discover records you don't expect less than perfect releases like this one. Love IT
