REVIEW: Jurgen Vries feat. Desi Valentine - Alive incl 8 Ball remix on Mondo records

Darren Tate under his multi hit making Jurgen Vries alias opens his 2014 account in style with the behemoth ‘Alive’. Already famed for hits such as "The Theme", "The Opera Song", "Wilderness" and "Take My Hand" the Jurgen Vries moniker has been synonymous with massive inventive club cuts and "Alive" is no exception.

With its unique and crisp fusion of genres that's sure to deliver a genuine invasion of your senses this is classic Jurgen Vries with production wizardry and diverse craftsmanship. Whilst keeping things super cool, 'Alive' features a huge vocal hook, quirky leads and stomping grooves that are bound to please the masses.

If that wasn’t enough, we have a barrage of remixes ready and armed for all your club eventualities. The club mix returns to earth and fires up the energy taking the track in a new direction with its cool cut progressive house grooves, followed up by a deep and dirty alternative from 8 Ball.

Dimitri Kechagias review:  The return of Darren Tate alter ego Jurgen Vries will be surprise for many fans of EDM on his own record label Mondo records. While his previous tracks were moving in the trance dogma now the new track Alive is a very different and of course close to the current sounds that seems to drive berserk the clubbers. The Original mix is a dynamic electro house stomper that bangs hard with electrified basslines, pumping rocking beats and the stunning blues pop style vocals by Desi Valentine. Its the kind of track that will move the clubbers and carry them away to sing a long the very nice vocals as well. The Club mix is a more pop dance friendly version with progressive house composition with cinematic atmosphere and balearic melodies making it perfect for the forthcoming Ibiza season. Of course there is a tougher more sharp and punchy sequence to keep the party hard fans satisfied. For me the finest version is the 8 Balls remix. Its much more deeper groovy housey tech tribal house version that will recall the well known hit Paper Aeroplane. It has that retro late 90's balearic house feel that sounds danceable and lazy relaxing at the very same time. If you play deep house don't forget to play this track cause the vocal is absolutely high class. Love iT
