REVIEW: Jaap Ligthart - Nenteme out on Fris / Black Hole recordings

Jaap Ligthart delivers a laid-back and tone shifting tech house track with ‘Nenteme’. Alessandro Diga has taken on the remixing, turning it into a pure techno track with a more lounging feel to it.

After he has had to listen to dreadful Dutch music in his younger years, we can al be happy that Jaap Ligthart discovered electronic music one day and never looked back. He started listening to sets, mix CD’s and radio recordings by Tiësto, Carl Cox, Sven Väth, Sasha, John Digweed and more. Those are the DJ’s and producers that are now wanting to play his tracks during their live sets. Jaap has also done numerous guest mixes on radio station 538, the number one radio station in The Netherlands and also in Tiësto’s Club Life show.

No set of Jaap is ever the same, varying between deep house and minimal, uplifting or a more raw sound.

Dimitri Kechagias review: The very talented Jaap Ligthart presents his track Nenteme on Fris! The friends of high quality tech house music are going to enjoy it very much. The original mix is a super groovy hypnotic minimal techno banger with housey grooves, deep and bouncy basslines and spacey atmosphere that nicely lead us on the breakdown. The old school techno sounds are becoming prominent and drive the crowd wild until the beat strikes back with tribal percussion on top. Excellent pay off moment that will take any clubfloor by storm and energise the audience to the maximum. Both techno purists and tech house adventurous djs will support it! Alessandro Diga is on remix duties and he does something more deep and pure techno style. Dark, minimal translation packed with tasty chunky grooves, deep haunting basslines and old school organ sounds. If you like to deliver deep, dark and long techno journeys in your set this great EP offers two stand out moments for your set. Love iT
