REVIEW: Croatia Squad - Be Good To Me (remixes) out on Enormous Tunes/Sirup Music

One of our biggest club hits in 2013 came from swiss combo CROATIA SQUAD. Their funky nu disco track BE GOOD TO ME made it on top of all relevant download charts and stayed in beatport top10 for over 3 months.

The track now gets remixed by two very talented newcomers in that specific genre. We're kickin' off the EP with the remix from ME & MY TOOTHBRUSH who released two successful EPs already on our label in 2013. They draw their mix into a more classic house corner with KORG Piano licks, a dirty but melodic bass line underneath a still very nu disco like beat section, that makes a connection between all of those subtle chosen melodic elements and of course the catchy vocals from the original.

Second remix comes from New York newcomer Jamie Antonelli who already did various successful remixes on labels like Nurvous or Sex Panda Records. Jamie was inspired to take his interpretation to an uplifting nu disco corner, adding touchy pads and rhodes to the remix as well as some chunky bass lines that will for sure get every dance floor across the world instantly on fire.

Dimitri Kechagias review: The exceptional record label Enormous Tunes presents the brand new versions of the very successful single Be Good To Me by Croatia Squad. Two excellent remixes that refresh the high quality of the original. Firstly is Me & My Toothbrush who deliver a wonderful indie dance / nu disco remix that is deep and hypnotic with excellent groove that lock you in its world and doesn't let you go. The melodies are flowing in and out of the track  while in the breakdown the classic early house chords will wake up some memories from the past to create the perfect retro moment on the dancefloor. The pitched down vocal technique is present with the well known vocal part Just Be Good To Me to remind us a well known disco track that was recreated with big success in the 80's. Very nice remix that is very easy going, relaxed and mesmerising to say the least. Jamie Antonelli remix is a much more deeper melodic tech house version with cool percussion, warm strings and balearic house feel to it. The vocal is applied without stretching and is used only the male part and not the Just Be Good To Me part. Perfect for those warm up sets or as the remedy after a hard day at work back home. Its such a nice package of remixes that will catapult this big hit once again at the first position of the beatport charts. Superb remix package indeed so better not miss them. Highly recommended for Deep House Lovers. Love iT
