REVIEW: Gai Barone - Voices Inside My Head / Half Tower out on Afterglow deep

A very succesful year is reaching its end and Afterglow records is very happy to close it with a release from a friend and exceptional musician.. Yes you guessed it right is Gai Barone..

It's really hard for Afterglow records  to find the right words as every single track has it's own story to tell.. simply close your eyes and enjoy!!

Dimitri Kechagias review:  One of the most consistent and strictly underground producers is the beloved Gai Barone. The Italian wizard strikes back with two masterpieces that will stand out to any set and will make the clubbers notice them without doubts. Voices In My Head has actually an old school trance flavour with heavy Giorgio Moroder and Vangelis influence on it. With bubbly beats, deep haunting basslines, cinematic strings, trance heavenly voices and many layers of  synths, he  build his magical kingdom of sounds that you are more than welcome to explore and  reflect your own meanings in it. His sounds guide you towards a certain direction but you have the absolute  freedom to dress it up with your own imaginary "clothes" and props.  Half Tower is the deeper of the two tracks and in its nearly 10.07 minutes he take us for a pleasant journey upon his tribal techy beats, deep haunting basslines and exotic Middle East flavoured melodies. You can start creating your own mental images while you dance along with it discovering its various soundlayers. The long breakdown reveals a magnificent melancholic violin like melody that transfer you straight away to other historical periods and far away lands. We will meet again this highly contagious and unforgettable melodramatic violin melodic theme in the climax of it that actually works really nice upon the sound foundation. Two stunning inspiring tracks to close a glorious Afterglow records year. Love iT
