REVIEW: Naughty Boy feat. Emeli Sande Lifted incl remixes out on Virgin

2013 is considered to be the year of Naughty Boy: The British-flying producer who has produced with Emeli Sand the most successful album of the last year in the UK "Our Version of Events", this summer finally enters into the limelight when he releases his own debut album
"Hotel Cabana". His debut LP is expected as a pop event of the year. No wonder, Shahid Khan, aka Naughty Boy, currently with "La La La" (feat. Sam Smith) delivers another megahit.  Right off the bat  "La La La" landed at # 1 on the UK charts. The title sold within a few weeks up to now already 1.3 million units worldwide. He has so far reached platinum status in the UK, Australia and Italy as well as gold in Germany, the Netherlands and Ireland.

The follow-up single "Lifted" feat. Emeli Sandé is destined to have the same success. In the UK it was promptly placed on highest rotation, for example, on BBC Radio 1, and is currently ranked # 8 in the UK single charts. The video reached 5 million views just a week after release.

The album "Hotel Cabana" designed to be a high-caliber concept album - so it affects already established acts - in addition to the already mentioned Emeli Sandé -  Tinie Tempah, Professor Green, Wretch 32, Ed Sheeran, Bastille,Gabrielle the newcomer Ella Eyre, Sam Smith, Chasing with Grace and Tanika, who are all Naughty's British compatriots. As the only guest from the U.S. is the hip-hop whiz Wiz Khalifa who was allowed to the microphone for one track.

Dimitri Kechagias review: Its definitely one of the most elegant and inspiring albums of the year. Hotel Cabana landed with two magnificent trailers to put you in the mood maybe for the album of the year. The next single after the fantastic La La La is called Lifted and the ethereal voice of Emeli Sande performs the inspiring lyrics. When the world turns black and the superpowers of the world are ready for another mini-war the only thing that can give you hope is music, when is good and inspiring music of course. The soundtrack is travelling driving break beats with orchestral classical music influences and the velvet like voice of Emeli Sande to give us the chance to feel our spirit, mind and soul Lifted. The remix package covers the main trends in EDM. Kat Krazy service the burning booming peak time electro house make over with chunky beats, electro kissed basslines and feel good melodies Lifted from the original. Mojam remix is underground UK speed garage style with early 90's influences. Energetic and packed with retro samples and atmosphere. Loadstar goes for a magical drum n bass remix that is euphoric danceable and simply irresistible to get absorbed from the fantastic drums and the bubbly bass. Lastly Raf Riley goes for an interesting mixture of dubstep and urban music doing something explosive. Its hard not to feel lifted at the end of your listening session. Quality in pop is always welcomed. Love IT
